Abstract

Indonesia is the second largest producer of waste after China with an estimated 0.48-1.29 million metric tons per year. Based on data from the Environment, Hygiene and Landscaping Agency (DLHKP), as of 2022 the Klotok Final Management Site (TPA) receives as much as 140 tons of waste per day, the waste is included in organic waste and inorganic waste. Meanwhile, inefficient waste handling can cause water quality in an area to be very poor and contain toxic waste and garbage that is allowed to accumulate can cause flooding and endanger public health. One of the community organizations that cares about waste processing is the Melati Waste Bank in Kediri City. The Melati Waste Bank is productive in carrying out activities to reduce waste in Kediri City, this is evidenced by the process of sorting waste, processing sorted waste, then distribute the product into the society. Unfortunately the efforts are under the expectations of the management and volunteers of the Melati Waste Bank are due to lack of interest in purchasing waste recycling products. This research uses qualitative methods using triangulation techniques where research is carried out by interviews. So as to obtain the results that consumer behavior in purchasing waste recycling products is based on environmental knowledges, recycle behavior and government regulations related to restrictions on the use of single-use plastics.

Abstract

Technological developments result in innovations in financial services called financial technology (fintech). The result of fintech development is the existence of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) as an easy and practical digital payment system. QRIS attracts the attention of young people, namely students, to switch from cash to non-cash payments with QRIS. The problem in this study is how students prefer to use QRIS as a digital payment tool? is the seller involved in students' preferences in using QRIS as a digital payment tool? To answer this problem, researchers used a qualitative approach by collecting data through interviews with three types of informants, namely sellers, students who make cash payments, and students who make cash payments, and students who make payments with QRIS. The result of this study is that students' preferences in using QRIS depend on ingrained payment habits in the canteen. However, even so, the preference for QRIS convenience can support the efficiency of buying and selling transactions in canteens.

Abstract

Variations in wind speed at 4,6 and 8 m altitudes were analyzed using a 24-hour dataset. The greatest recorded wind velocity was 3.3 m/s at a height of 8 meters, and the lowest was around 2.4 m/s at a height of 4 meters. The investigation also identified discrepancies in velocity between the generator and turbine while they were operating with and without a load. The turbine's speed increased when there was no weight present. The peak wind velocity reached 3.9 meters per second, accompanied by a similar variation of 5.4 rotations per minute. The average discrepancy in rotational velocity between the turbine and generator during periods of low wind was 3.74 RPM. This discovery establishes a fundamental basis for comprehending the movement of wind and enabling future in-depth explorations in the field of atmospheric sciences. The generator's performance is assessed by the measurement of current and voltage, which serves to highlight its versatility and effectiveness. The correlation between wind velocity and generator rotational speed is crucial for energy conversion, since the turbine's velocity needs to be adjusted to match the heightened load, affecting the generator's speed.

Abstract

An important requirement to become a convalescent plasma donor is a standardized SARS-CoV antibody titer. However, not all Covid-19 survivors pass the plasma donor selection due to low antibody titer. This research aims to determine the comparison of SARS-CoV antibody titer levels with blood type, age and gender of Covid-19 convalescent plasma donors at blood donation unit PMI Semarang City. This study is an analytical observational study with a cross sectional design, using 300 data on convalescent plasma donors. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Differences in SARS-CoV antibody titer levels based on blood type, age, and gender were tested using SPSS 25. Donors involved in this study were divided based on the conversion of convalescent plasma titer levels, namely 1:80 (37%), 1:160 (4%), 1:250 (10.3%) and 1:640 (48.7%). Based on blood type data, most convalescent plasma donors have blood type O (42%) with the highest titer levels in the 1:640 category (48.7%). The highest mean titer level was found in blood group B which was 382.09. The results of the Kruskal-Wallis test showed no significant difference in titer levels by blood group, p=0.622 (>0.05). In the parameter of donor age, SARS-CoV antibody titer levels also showed no significant difference in donor age, both adolescent, adult and elderly donors with a value of p=0.598 (p>0.05). In line with these results, the chi square test of differences in antibody titres based on gender also showed no significant difference, p value=0.127 (p>0.05). High and low antibody titres of convalescent plasma donors are not determined by blood type, age and gender of the donor.
