Redaksi menerima artikel dalam bahasa Indonesia dan belum di submit atau dipublikasikan pada jurnal lain. Penentuan artikel yang diterima akan melalui proses blind review, di mana reviewer tidak mengetahui identitas dari penulis. Abstract

Sukuraga Puppet is a typical Sukabumi art that combines various aspects of art ranging from visual arts, music, puppet theater and literature. This Puppet Sukuraga does not refer to most puppet literacy like the Ramayana and Mahabarata traditions. Having a unique story, being a Sukuraga Puppet has its own cultural value, but unfortunately the existence of this Sukuraga Puppet is still not known by the residents, that's why research is to find out how many people do not know about Sukuraga Puppet and what causes it. This research is a research using quantitative research methods. The data collection process originates from a questionnaire addressed to thirty respondents.

Abstract

Wayang is a traditional Indonesian art that has existed for a long time. In the art of wayang, there are philosophical values contained both in the puppet characters and in the story. Therefore, this study aims to discuss the philosophical values contained in the sukuraga puppet characters. Where in this study the characters to be discussed are the Kudu Lempang and Panangan characters. This research uses qualitative research methods using qualitative analysis, data collection used by interview. In this study there are 2 philosophical values contained in the kudu lempang and panangan characters. The philosophical value of wayang dukurahs is more centered on how humans should use their limbs in accordance with their nature as God's creation.

Abstract

Wayang Sukuraga is a puppet performance accompanied by musical accompaniment. Music accompaniment is one of the main components of the show. This study discusses the various types of musical accompaniment used in wayang sukuraga performances. The purpose of this study is to describe the uniqueness of the musical accompaniment used in the Sukuraga puppet show, which is different from other puppet shows. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method to examine the musical accompaniment in the Wayang Sukuraga performance. Literacy studies from various relevant literature and interviews with the creators of Wayang Sukuraga. The results of this study include two musical accompaniments in Wayang Sukuraga, namely vocal sounds originating from the puppeteer in the form of songs for each Wayang Sukuraga character and traditional accompaniment music, namely gamelan.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the symbolism contained in the characters Mak Ata and Pak Anon in the Sukuraga puppet. Mak Ata is a wayang character that is depicted as a woman, while Pak Anon is a figure or character that is depicted as a man. In this study, we will analyze the symbolism of these two characters using a cultural and philosophical approach that involves the use of symbols such as their color, name, and physique. This research provides a deeper understanding of local policies, ethics, and values embedded in Indonesian culture by understanding and analyzing the symbolism of wayang characters such as Mak Ata and Pak Anon in the Sukuraga puppet.

Abstract

Wayang Sukuraga has become a symbol of art for the City of Sukabumi. The Uniqueness of Wayang Sukuraga is able to present a wayang form that is unusual from the others, presenting the wayang form from parts of the body such as hands, eyes, ears, legs, and other body parts. Wayang Sukuraga also carries messages in every character and story. One of the characters who has an important role in the Wayang Sukuraga story is Pa Nangan who represents the shape of the hand and is the object of this paper for research based on the character dimensions This study used a qualitative research method by conducting interviews with the creator of Wayang Sukuraga, Mr. Effendi. The purpose of writing this research is to see how the character of Pa Nangan is in the form of 3 Dimensional Characters, to increase knowledge in the field of wayang art and literature. The character dimension of the Pa Nangan character will include the physiological dimension relating to things attached to the form of wayang, the sociological dimension includes the social life of the Pa Nangan character, and the psychological dimension includes psychology and the message conveyed by the Pa Nangan character.

Abstract

The content of the discussion is about puppet, symbol, and the meaning in one of the figure in the puppet. Puppet is one of the traditional 2-dimensional entertainment media, which can be seen and also felt. A puppet always contains a message in it related to the conditions of life in the world that we live. In West Java, especially in Sukabumi, there is a Sukuraga puppet created by an extraordinary artist named Effendi. Mr. Effendi created Sukuraga puppet, where this Sukuraga means "limbs" because the shapes of the puppets are a reflection of the shape of the human body. It aims to remind people that there will be consequences for all actions. There are 9 Sukuraga puppet characters, one of which is the mouth, each character has symbols and meanings that we can learn from and relate them to various phenomena that exist in the world we currently live in. The method used is descriptive qualitative because the research was conducted by conducting direct interviews with informants to obtain more detailed information.

Abstract

This study is aims to explain the symbol and the meaning of Pak Ngambung Figure in Sukuraga Puppet. Sukuraga puppets is an original art from Sukabumi. Sukuraga puppets is one of the arts that belongs to the category of contemporary puppets, because it brings out stories and characters that are unique to this puppets itself. The characters are named and shaped like body part, such as Pa Anon (panon) meaning eyes, pa gambung (irung) meaning nose, mullut or mouth, Ceu Pil (Ceupil) meaning ears, lengeun (hands), kudu leumpang (kaki) and so on. One of the characters from the sukuraga puppets that the author considers to be quite interesting is the character pa bung (irung) or nose. The nose in our body has a very important role, because the nose functions to breathe. in this study using descriptive qualitative method. the writer collects data qualitatively and describes it in a descriptive way.
