Abstract

The development of digital marketing has transformed consumer behavior, including in purchasing decisions for skincare products. This study aims to analyze the effect of viral marketing and turbo marketing on the purchasing decisions of Somethinc products in Medan City. The research method used was associative quantitative with a sample of 97 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed with multiple linear regression. The results show that Viral Marketing has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decisions with a t-value of 10.982 > 1.985 and a significance of 0.000. Turbo Marketing also has a positive and significant effect with a t-value of 3.480 > 1.985 and a significance of 0.000. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect with an F-value of 169.273 > 3.094. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.778 indicates that 77.8% of the variation in Purchase Decisions can be explained by these two variables, while the remaining 22.2% is influenced by other factors outside the model.

Abstract

Consumer’s purchase intention in food delivery services is increasingly influenced by price perception and customer experience, particularly amid the intense competition between ShopeeFood, GoFood, and GrabFood in Medan. A fair price perception and a positive customer experience can enhance consumers’ intention to make purchases. This study aims to analyze the effect of price perception and customer experience on purchase intention in ShopeeFood services in Medan. Both variables were tested partially and simultaneously to determine the extent of their impact on consumers’ purchase intention. The research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research type. The population in this study consisted of people in Medan who know and are interested in using ShopeeFood. The sample approach used in this study was probability sampling specifically simple random sampling, resulting in 97 respondents calculated with the Cochran formula. Primary data were collected through questionnaires, while secondary data were obtained from literature studies. The data analysis methods included validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing. The findings indicate that, partially, price perception has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Customer experience also has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence purchase intention among ShopeeFood users in Medan. The correlation coefficient (R) of 0.672 or 67% shows a strong relationship between price perception and customer experience on purchase intention. Furthermore, the Adjusted R Square value indicates that both variables contribute 44.1% to purchase intention, while the remaining 55.9% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and explain the influence of apparatus competence and work discipline on the quality of public services in Sidang Barang District. Public service represents a primary obligation of the state; however, fluctuations in service quality and human resource constraints often hinder the fulfillment of community needs. This research employed a quantitative explanatory approach involving 163 respondents consisting of neighborhood administrators (RW), civil servants (PNS), and government employees with work agreements (PPPK), selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that apparatus competence has a positive and significant effect on public service quality, with a path coefficient of 0.526 and a t-statistic value of 9.186. Similarly, work discipline shows a positive and significant effect, with a path coefficient of 0.461 and a t-statistic value of 8.005. Collectively, these variables contribute strongly, explaining 95.4% of the variance in public service quality, with a high predictive relevance (Q²) value of 0.640. In conclusion, strengthening knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes accompanied by adherence to work regulations is a key factor in creating reliable, responsive, and trustworthy bureaucratic services at the district level.

Abstract

The development of an increasingly open global economic system requires local communities to adapt without losing their social and cultural identities. This study aims to analyze the role of a local culture-based economy as an adaptive mechanism for communities in the South Cianjur region in responding to the transformation of Indonesia’s economic system. Using a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design, data were collected from 120 respondents through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that local wisdom has a positive and significant influence on the formation of a culture-based economy as well as on community economic adaptation. The main findings reveal that a culture-based economy acts as a strong mediating variable linking traditional values with community survival strategies. Local wisdom, including mutual cooperation values and traditional knowledge, serves as crucial social capital in strengthening household economic resilience amid infrastructure limitations. This study concludes that strengthening an economy rooted in local identity is essential for achieving inclusive and sustainable regional development. National economic development policies should integrate local wisdom as an adaptive economic system to prevent rural communities from being marginalized by industrialization.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the determinants of public trust in village government in encouraging community political participation in the South Cianjur region. The transformation of village governance after the reform era through Law Number 6 of 2014 has positioned villages as strategic arenas of local democracy; however, challenges related to transparency and low substantive participation remain significant issues in semi-peripheral rural areas.The research employed a quantitative approach using an explanatory research design through Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis involving 170 respondents. The results indicate that village government transparency has a positive and significant effect on public trust (H1) as well as on community political participation (H2). Public trust was also found to significantly influence the enhancement of citizens’ political participation (H3). Furthermore, public trust acts as a significant mediating variable that strengthens the indirect relationship between transparency and political participation (H4).These findings confirm that transparency constitutes a fundamental foundation for building social trust capital, capable of transforming participation patterns from transactional engagement into inclusive and sustainable participation. This study recommends that village governments strengthen information accessibility and institutional responsiveness to enhance governmental legitimacy at the local level.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of village fund accountability and public information transparency on community participation in Sukanegara District. Using a quantitative approach and an explanatory research design, the study involved 170 respondents selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling method based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that village fund accountability has a positive and significant effect on community participation. This shows that the better the village government's accountability in managing the budget, the higher the level of citizens’ participation in development. In addition, transparency of public information also has a proven positive and significant effect on community participation. Easy access to information about village programs and budgets is an important factor that encourages residents to take part in monitoring and implementing activities. Overall, these two variables are able to explain 88.4% of the variation in community participation, with a strong level of predictive validity for the model. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening transparent and accountable village governance to create a harmonious partnership between the government and the community for sustainable village development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of cultural capital-based creative economy on the economic adaptation of the community in Southern Cianjur, examining the mediating role of youth participation and the moderating effect of digital integration. Utilizing a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected through questionnaires from 105 respondents who are local creative economy actors. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The research findings reveal that cultural capital has a positive and highly significant influence on driving youth participation. This indicates that local wisdom is an effective symbolic asset for fostering youth agency in rural areas. However, the results also show that neither cultural capital nor youth participation has a significant impact on actual community economic adaptation. Furthermore, digital integration has not been able to strengthen the relationship between these variables toward economic resilience. This discrepancy indicates a bottleneck in transforming the spirit of cultural preservation into structured economic independence. This study concludes that strengthening creative economy capacity in rural areas requires more integrative policies, focusing not only on cultural identity and technological support but also on restructuring supply chains and market innovation to achieve sustainable transformational adaptation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of the Regional Inspectorate in implementing internal supervision within the Regional Apparatus Organizations of West Java Province. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using Kooten’s strategic framework, which consists of organizational strategy, program strategy, resource support strategy, and institutional strategy. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving eight informants from the Regional Inspectorate and related regional agencies. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the internal supervision strategy implemented by the Regional Inspectorate of West Java Province has been relatively effective, particularly in terms of organizational, program, and institutional strategies. However, weaknesses remain in the resource support strategy, especially regarding the availability and optimization of human resources and supporting facilities. This condition affects the overall effectiveness of internal supervision, particularly in supporting the achievement of the Integrity Assessment Survey in the future. Therefore, strengthening resource support is necessary to enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of internal supervision.
