Abstract

The educational environment is the process of educational activities, so the environment is expected to be comfortable and avoid noise. Noise can be disturbing, such as the ringing of mobile phones or sounds produced by humans. Sound noise in a room can cause loss of concentration, so that indoor activities can be disrupted. Based on these problems, it is necessary to have a tool used to detect the noise level of sound in the classroom. Therefore, a noise detection system in the learning room uses a sound sensor based on NodeMCU ESP8266, which can send email notifications and be monitored through the thinger.io application. The location of this research is in a classroom. This tool consists of hardware (hardware) including NodeMCU ESP8266, PIR Sensor, LCD 16x2 I2C, Sound Sensor, DF Player Mini Mp3, Speaker, and Android application software. The working principle is that if the decibel value exceeds the predetermined value, the room user will hear a warning sound and send an informational text in the form of an email notification. Based on tests on several parameters, testing using the sound of a drilling machine obtained an error value of 8.7%. In music sounds, an error value of 7.7%, and inhuman screaming sounds, an error value of 8.1%. The tool has been successful in the test results and can be implemented in the classroom.

Abstract

The firefighting robot contest is an event to encourage high education students to explore electronics and robotic skill. The difficulty level of the contest increases from year to year though the arena layout is relatively similar. The field of arena consists of maze, detachable doors and distractorswhich requires smart idea to enable the robot to be well-performed. The combination of home position and random fire spot at each round of the game make each team have to find the most effective method to win the match. This paper presents an implementation the grid map method on the Azmi four legged robot using ultrasonic PING sensor, GPYA021 infrared sensor and GY-955 gyroscope. An ultrasonic sensor is attached on each of four sides of the robot. The data from each sensor will be interpreted as the distance of the front, right, left and back of the robot relative to the wall. Interpretation depends on the robot's current position. Virtual mapping technique was used by assuming that the arena consists of grids which have uniform size. Each grid was given a consecutive index numbering i.e a symbolic number which in practice be manifested in terms of distance unit. The results showed that the grid map method in this study worked well, tested on four randomized configurations, the robot successfully carried out the search task and returned to the home position with an acceptable execution time.

Abstract

A Simulated impact of partial shadow on PV modules and the different partial shading on the PV panel effect on the PV performance is being analysed. The setting for the report is a hydroponic plant system equipped with a solar energy source and IoT at Pangsapuri Jasa, Mutiara Rini. The system control can reduce the carbon footprint and cause no pollution to the environment, while the information gathering process is faster without requiring a lot of time and energy. By collecting the data at Pangsapuri Jasa, the suitable irradiation data is used. The power consumption cannot be monitored by users. A shadow is casted over a panel which make the amount of sunlight reaching the surface is reduced. In addition, the partial shading effects continue to be one of the most demanding issues that directly influence the effectiveness of PV networks in terms of power outputs, the development of several peaks on the power-voltage (P-V) characteristic curve, and the incidence of hot-phenomena. Furthermore, the effective strategies are not being implemented that could save the energy consumption where analysis of the system performance is not practiced consistently when there are available strategies that can improve the system. The purpose of this project is to focus on analyzing the effect of the partial shading to the PV output performance. Also, to monitor the real time monitoring of electricity usage for hydroponic system. This project also covers the analysis of the effect of different configuration of shaded area of partial shadings on PV output performance. The study focuses on a specific kind of shading where photovoltaic panels as a shading device. The study focusses on the analysis of PV output performance on different partial shading conditions. Different number of shadings are being presented to display the experimental set up by using MATLAB Simulink

Abstract

The abstraction of Brain Computer Interface (BCI) is a communication and control system that translated human mind thoughts into real-world interaction without any use of neural pathways and muscles. BCI is used as a tool to help person that suffered from impairment to be able do their daily activities independently. In general, BCI process its signal through several process such as pre-processing, and classification. However, providing information of pre-processing and classification process is barely found. Therefore, in this review paper we present the various pre-processing and classification methods that used in the BCI system application.

Abstract

Presently, multiple countries are engaged in combatting virus outbreaks transmitted through contact with infected individuals. To address this issue, several measures have been taken to shift the pandemic status to an endemic state. This study introduces an Internet of Things (IoT) device designed to monitor body temperature and room occupancy in real-time. Notifications are sent when a room surpasses its capacity or when body temperature exceeds the allowable threshold. The system enables real-time alerts and stores data for remote accessibility and analysis. The experiments conducted involve Infra Red Proximity, temperature sensor (MLX90614), object distance sensor (HCSR04), Wemos, and Solenoid Door Lock. Telegram is used as the medium for data transmission. The developed system proves effective in continuously monitoring body temperature and room occupancy.
