Abstract

Learning media are tools that assist teachers in delivering lessons, making the material clearer and aligned with learning objectives. Based on observations, Grade V at MI Miftahul Ulum Batu has just begun implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, and the learning media used in the process are still limited. Diagnostic assessment results show that students prefer learning through images or stories.This study aims to develop engaging e-comic-based learning media to enhance students' literacy and reduce boredom during the learning process. The development of the e-comic media is focused on the topic Digestive System Disorders in Humans for Grade V. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. The subjects of this study were 34 students from Class V C at MI Miftahul Ulum Batu. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, as well as pre-tests and post-tests. The questionnaire consisted of validation sheets, while the pre- and post-tests were used to measure student learning outcomes. The product developed in this study is an e-comic as a learning medium.The media expert's validation resulted in a feasibility percentage of 95%, categorized as very feasible. The material expert's validation achieved 94% (very feasible), and validation by a practitioner yielded 91% (very feasible). Student learning outcomes showed an average pre-test score of 48.8 and a post-test score of 88.8. The n-gain score was 0.78, which falls under the high category, indicating a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes Keywords: E-comic, Learning Media, Digestive System Disorders in Humans

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of visual media in the form of a food pyramid as a means of introducing the concept of living organism ecosystems to fifth-grade students at SD Mrawan 03. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, focusing on students’ understanding and learning experiences during science lessons involving visual media. The subjects consisted of the classroom teacher and 28 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The findings indicate that the use of visual food pyramid media helps students comprehend the relationships among living organisms within an ecosystem, particularly regarding food chains and environmental balance. This medium provides a more concrete learning experience, allowing students to visually observe the connections between producers, consumers, and decomposers. Furthermore, the teacher reported that the media facilitated material delivery and increased student participation during class discussions. Students became more enthusiastic and were able to explain ecosystem concepts in their own words. Therefore, the visual food pyramid is effective as an alternative instructional medium for science learning that promotes contextual, interactive, and enjoyable learning experiences for elementary school students.

Abstract

One of the skills that teachers must have in the teaching process is pedagogical competence, which is very important in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. PBL (Problem Based Learning) is an effective teaching model to improve students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This study uses a qualitative approach using the case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Primary data sources are the head of the madrasah, teachers, and students, as well as secondary data from other students. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, with triangulation of sources and techniques to check the validity of the data. The results of the study showed that (1) Teachers improve educational foundations, recognize character differences, develop curriculum, design learning, educational and dialogic learning, conduct evaluations, develop student potential (2) Teachers provide problems from real life, formulate problems clearly, according to level, breadth and purpose and are beneficial for students. (3) The inhibiting factors are time constraints, lack of facilities, diverse student abilities and limited teacher human resources. The supporting factors are student skills and enthusiasm and real life problems.

Abstract

To improve religious literacy in students, the academic community of Madrasah Ibitidaiyah (MI) applies Madrasah Diniyah learning with the study of the Safinatun Najah book. The purpose of this research is to determine the importance of the study of the Safinatun Najah book in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Ma'had An Nur Bantul and how the process of implementing the study of the book is used as a strength of religious literacy for students at MI Al Ma'had An Nur Bantul. The researchers used qualitative research with a case study type—data collection techniques used through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results reveal that the study of the Safinatun Najah book was carried out in the form of nadham written in Arabic Pegon in Indonesian. This research is used to teach Fiqh related to Ubudiyah in a concise but comprehensive manner. This research can help students understand and carry out worship correctly and maintain cleanliness and purity. Not only that, this research is able to help strengthen not only religious literacy but Arabic reading literacy. By utilizing the nadham method, students are more interested, making it easier to improve memorization. The learning process includes the teacher reading the nadham and explaining the material, students imitating and discussing it, and students practicing the material in everyday life.

Abstract

Numeracy skills are related to the capacity for logical thinking and problem solving in everyday life, numeracy skills are an important component in elementary school education. However, elementary school students often have difficulty understanding numeracy concepts such as fractions, especially those at the concrete operational stage. The purpose of this study is to create interactive and visual Roda Matematika (ROMAT) learning resources that will help encourage students to understand the concept of fractions better. This study uses the five-stage ADDIE development paradigm, which consists of the following steps: analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating. Forty second-grade students from SDI Tebuireng Ir. Soedigno Jombang, divided into two classes, became the subjects of the study. Numeracy skills tests, interviews, and questionnaires for expert validation are some of the research tools used. Based on the validation results, the Roda Matematika (ROMAT) media was considered feasible with a feasibility percentage of 86% from material experts, 78% from media experts, 90% from learning experts. With an average feasibility of 84.6%, this media was declared very feasible to use. In addition, in the numeracy ability test, there was also a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class, so it can be concluded that the Roda Matematika (ROMAT) learning media is able to improve students' numeracy skills effectively. This study contributes to the development of concrete learning media that are in line with the stages of students' cognitive development and support the improvement of numeracy literacy in elementary education

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low ability of students to memorize Arabic mufrodat (vocabulary), which is caused by the lack of engaging and age-appropriate learning methods for elementary school students. To address this issue, the use of children's songs as a teaching method was applied as an alternative strategy to increase student interest and memory retention. This research aims to determine the effect of using the singing method on the mufrodat memorization ability of second-grade students at MI Al-Huda Banyuarang Jombang. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest format. The research subjects consisted of 16 students. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed that the average pretest score was 69.50, which increased to 76.50 in the posttest. However, the Wilcoxon statistical test showed a significance value of 0.139 > 0.05, indicating no statistically significant difference before and after applying the singing method. Nevertheless, from a practical perspective, the singing method led to improved scores and positive responses from students. This suggests that singing can be an enjoyable and effective approach to enhance Arabic vocabulary acquisition at the elementary education level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang implementasi program sains club pada kurikulum merdeka di MI Babussalam Krian Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Pengambilan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa 1) Implementasi program sains club pada kurikulum merdeka di Mi Babussalam Krian Sidoarjo. 2) Kelebihan implementasi program sains club pada kurikulum merdeka di MI Babussalam Krian Sidoarjo adalah dapat menumbuhkan minat anak untuk berpikir kritis, dapat menumbuhkan sikap ingin tahu pada peserta didik, dan dapat membantu peserta didik untuk mengenal, mempelajari lingkup sains, dan menyiapkan siswa dalam menghadapi Olimpiade. 3) Faktor penghambat implementasi program sains club pada kurikulum merdeka di MI Babussalam Krian Sidoarjo adalah ketersediaan bahan untuk praktik sains yang belum mendukung atau belum tersedia, dan dari segi waktu pelaksanaan. 4) Upaya dalam mengatasi hambatan ketersediaan bahan untuk praktik sains belum mendukung atau belum tersedia adalah dengan pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal, dan menggunakan teknologi. Untuk mengatasi sering liburnya ekstrakulikuler sains club dikarenakan bersamaan dengan kegiatan lain yang terjadi secara dadakan, adalah dengan penjadwalan yang terkoordinasi, pembuatan kalender akademik yang lebih tertata, serta melakukan evaluasi dan peningkatan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The development of digital technology offers new opportunities in the world of education, especially through the use of digital educational games. The purpose of this study was to examine the role of digital educational games in enhancing creativity and problem solving among elementary school students. The research method used was a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental approach involving 20 grade IV students at Tlogogung State Elementary School. Data were collected by pre-test and post-test, as well as observation of student activities, while using educational games based on problem solving. The results showed that there was a significant increase in aspects of creativity and problem solving skills after students were involved in digital educational games for four weeks. With interactive elements, cognitive challenges and direct feedback, the game can stimulate various thoughts and increase students' confidence in solving problems. This realization shows that digital educational games are not only entertainment tools, but also effective learning tools in developing important skills for children in the 21st century. Recommendations are given to educators and educational technology developers for the design of game content that meets the needs of the curriculum and child development.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) masih menghadapi tantangan, khususnya dalam memenuhi kebutuhan belajar peserta didik yang beragam. Pendekatan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi menjadi solusi strategis untuk menyesuaikan gaya belajar, minat, dan tingkat kesiapan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat peraga papan TERKA (Terowongan Angka) berbahan bekas sebagai media pembelajaran matematika berdiferensiasi yang ramah lingkungan bagi peserta didik kelas I MI. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian adalah 20 peserta didik kelas I MI Sulamuddiniyah Mojowarno Jombang. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi, wawancara, angket validasi ahli, dan angket respon peserta didik. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa alat peraga TERKA memperoleh skor kelayakan sebesar 91,3% (sangat layak). Uji coba menunjukkan respon positif dari 98,2% peserta didik. Papan TERKA terbukti membantu pemahaman konsep dasar penjumlahan dan pengurangan serta meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar peserta didik. Alat peraga ini juga mendukung prinsip pembelajaran ramah lingkungan dan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Oleh karena itu, Papan TERKA layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika di tingkat MI untuk mendorong pembelajaran yang bermakna, inklusif, dan berkarakter

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter, keterampilan, dan pengetahuan anak sebagai fondasi utama bagi masa depan bangsa. Melalui proses pembelajaran di sekolah, pendidikan berfungsi untuk melatih serta mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir manusia guna mewujudkan perubahan positif dalam tindakan individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi madrasah dalam menanamkan tata krama pada murid di MI NU Hidayatul Mubtadi’in Ngantru Ngantang Malang, serta menganalisis faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi madrasah dalam menanamkan tata krama meliputi pemberian hukuman yang bersifat mendidik bagi siswa maupun guru yang melanggar aturan, keteladanan guru dalam pembiasaan perilaku sopan, penyelenggaraan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seperti pramuka dan pagar nusa, pertemuan rutin wali murid dengan wali kelas setiap 36 hari, serta sosialisasi tentang tata krama. Faktor penghambat dalam pelaksanaan strategi tersebut antara lain pergaulan negatif di luar sekolah dan pola asuh orang tua yang keras, sedangkan faktor pendukungnya meliputi pembiasaan kegiatan positif di madrasah dan keteladanan guru yang konsisten. Dengan demikian, strategi madrasah berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter dan perilaku santun peserta didik secara berkelanjutan.
