Problem solving ability is one of the objectives of learning mathematics that must be achieved by students. However, in reality students' mathematical problem solving abilities in schools are still low. One effort to overcome this problems is to apply the Problem Based Learning model. The ultimate goal of this research is to find out whether the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students who study with the Problem Based Learning model are better than those who learn with conventional learning in class VII SMP N 15 Padang. This type of research is quasi-experimental and the design used is equivalent posttest-only. The population of this study were class VII students at SMP N 15 Padang. The sampling was done using random sampling with simple random sampling technique, obtained class VII 1 as the experimental group and VII 2 as the control group. Based on the analysis of mathematical problem-solving ability test data, P-value = 0.00 is obtained with a significant level (α = 0.05), because the P-value < α means that H0 is rejected. The conclusion obtained is that students who study with the Problem Based Learning model are better than those who learn with conventional learning in class VII SMP N 15 Padang. Mathematical Representation ability is one of the abilities needed in learning mathematics. However, in fact, this ability category of SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP 10th-grade students was still low. The effort that was argued to overcome this problem is by applying the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. The research objective was to describe the improvement of students’ mathematical representation ability during being taught using the RME approach. The method used is quantitative descriptive. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The instrument of this research is quizzed consisting of essay questions. Problem solving is a skill that students need to master. In fact, this ability for class IX students of SMP Negeri 28 Padang is still low. The solution provided is to apply the inquiry learning model. The purpose of the research is to examine whether the problem solving abilities of students implementing the inquiry learning model are effective compared to implementing the direct learning model in class IX of SMP 28 Padang and to identify how the problem solving abilities of students develop using the inquiry learning model. The type is quasy experimental with a non-equivalent posttest only control group design. The population is class IX students of SMP Negeri 28 Padang, class IX. 8 and IX.9 as sample classes. Quizzes and final tests in the form of essays as instruments. Reasoning in the fact investigation with the t-test, Pvalue = 0,000 was obtained. Because Pvalue <0,05 then reject H0. This demonstrates students' mathematical problem-solving abilities using an efficient inquiry learning model rather than applying a direct learning model in class IX at SMP Negeri 28 Padang. The primary abilties that students ought to have after mastering mathematicsi are undesrtainding oif mathematical concepts. But, in fact, the knowledge of mathematical concepts in magnificence VIII students of SMPN 1 Hiliran Gumanti remains relatively low, due to the fact they have now not been actively concerned inside the mastering system. To conquer this problem, efforts had been made to use the problem based learning (PBL) model. The reason of this have a look at changed into to investigate and examine whether the understaniding of mathematical concepts of students who studied with the PBL version was higher than those who studied with conventional learning models and described the development of college students' understaniding of mathematical concepts so long as the PBL model changed into applied. The form of research used is descriptive research and quasy experiment with a nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. The studies populace turned into elegance VIII college students of SMPN 1 Hiliran Gumanti inside the 2022/2023 educational year. The research devices used were quizzes at each assembly and a final check of knowledge mathematical concepts to compare students' understianding of mathematical concepts in the experimental elegance and the manipulate elegance. Mathematical communication ability is one of the abilities that must have by students to support the learning process. But in fact, the mathematical ability of students in class VII MTsN 6 Kota Padang is still relatively low. One effort that is believed to be able to solve this problem is using Think Talk Write cooperative learning model. This kind of research is a quasi-experiment using a static group design. The sample was determined using the simple random sampling technique. The instruments used are quizzes and mathematical communication tests. Then, hypothesis testing using the T-test. Data analysis shows that P-value is 0,000 which means refuse. Because of that, it can be concluded that the communication ability of students in class VII MTsN 6 Kota Padang was taught by using the Think Talk Write model better than by using conventional learning. Abstract — Understanding concept is a basic ability thati needs to be mastered by students. However in reality, this level of understanding for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang is still low. The solustion is to apply learning cycle 7e learning models. The purpose of this study is to show that the understanding of the concept of learners who use the learning cycle 7e learning model is better than the conventional learning model. The type of research used was a quasy experiment whit the non-equivalent posttest-only control group design. The population is students of class VIII SMP Negeri 34 Padang, class VIII.6 and VIII.7 as the sample class. The instrument used was the final test of concept understanding. After the t-test was conducted, the P-value means that H0 is rejected. So it is concluded that the understanding of the concept of students who use the learning cycle 7e learning model is beter than those using the conventional learning model. Learning outcomes was the accomplishments of educational purpose for students who take part in the teaching and process of learning, student outcomes of learning are fundamentally behavioral changes brought about by learning. According to the findings, it was discovered that the outcomes of learning in mathematics of Class VIII students of SMPN 10 Kota Bengkulu for the 2022/2023 academic year were still low. So that the effort that can be made to increase student outcomes of learning in mathematics is to apply problem based learning learning models. This research purpose to see whether the the outcomes of learning in mathematics of students who study using the problem-based learning model in class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Kota Bengkulu was more good than the outcomes of learning by students using learning in conventional models.This research type was a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent posttest only control group design. The selection for sample was conducted using technique by simple random sampling, so that class VIIID was selected as the class for experimental and class VIIC as the class for control. The instruments in research were in consist of quizzes and final tests outcomes of learning in the form of essays. According on the research data analysis results at the real level α = 0.05 using the t test obtained P-value = 0.018, that means that P-value < ? so reject H0. This shows that the outcomes of learning by students in mathematics who study using the model of problem-based learning are more good than students who study using learning in models of conventional in class VIII SMPN 10 Kota BengkuluKeywords– Problem Based Learning, Mathematics Learning Outcomes.

Mathematicaliiproblem-solving skills are one of the skills that students must master. But their math problem-solving skills aren't the best. This is because the learning model used failed to develop students' math problem-solving skills. Implementation of the Connecting,Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) learning model can be used to improve students' math problem-solving abilities. The achievement of this research is to see students' ability to solve math problems by applying the CORE model were superior to those of students learning in direct learning. Based on this research, we know that students learning with CORE are superior in solving math problems than those using direct learning models.Keywords. – Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending, Mathematical problem-solving skills.

The aim of this research is to elucidate and analyze the errors made by SMA Negeri 8 Padang Phase E students when attempting to solve word problems on a system of three-variable linear equations based on Newman's error theory. The errors studied were based on the types of error indicators of Newman's errors which included inaccuracies in reading the questions, inaccuracies in understanding the questions, inaccuracies in the transformation of the questions, inaccuracies in processing skills and errors in writing the final answer. The results showed that the research subjects tended to make (a) The percentage of errors in process skills is 35%.; (b) The percentage of errors in the transformation is 30%.; (c) The percentage of errors in comprehend the problem is 17%.; (d)The percentage of errors in writing the final answer is 11%; (e) The percentage of errors in reading the questions is 7%.Keywords: Student error analysis, newman's error theory, math word problems.
