The problen in this research is the low ability of mathematical communication that belongs to grade VIII students of SMP N 21 Padang. Teacher based learning is the cause of low learners mathematical skill. One of the many solutions that can improve the mathematical communication skill of the students is the implementation of Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative learning modell. The reason of Think Talk Write (TTW) type learning modell is chosen to facilitate students to practice speaking both orally and writing. The purpose of this the study is to knowing and describe whether mathematical communication skills learned to use a Think Talk Write cooperative learning modell is better than the mathematical communication skills of the learners that to use direct learning modell in class VIII SMPN 21 Padang Year lesson 2018/2019. This research is conducted with the type of Quasy experiment research by using the modell design Randomized Control-Group Only Design. The sample of this research is the student of VIII. Final tests and quizzers are the instruments used to collect data in this study. The result is the mathematical communication skill of learness who use a Think Talk Write modell of cooperative learning can improve. Good learning outcomes make things important for students. However, the thing that is often faced in learning mathematics is the low learning outcomes of students. The learning outcomes of students of class XI MIPA SMA 3 Bukittinggi are still relatively low and the learning process has not been carried out optimally. The solution applied is the TSTS type of cooperative learning model. The purpose of this study is to describe the difference in learning outcomes of students who study with the cooperative learning model TSTS type with students who learn by direct learning and describe the development of learning activities of students who learn with cooperative learning models of TSTS type in the XI MIPA class of SMA Negeri 3 Bukitiinggi..This type of research is quasy experiment and research design of Static Group Design. The population of this research is the students of class XI MIPA of SMA Negeri 3 Bukittinggi. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling Data technique so that the class XI MIPA 1 is obtained as an experimental class and XI MIPA 3 as a control class. Collecting data in research through student learning activities and final test data in the form of learning outcomes tests that are analyzed by t test.Based on the results of the study showed the learning activities of students tended to increase after the TSTS type of cooperative learning model was applied. Based on the analysis of the final test results was obtained at the real level ???? = 0.05 which means that the learning outcomes of students who applied the TSTS type of cooperative learning model were better than those of students learning with direct learning in the XI MIPA class of SMA 3 Bukittinggi, therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the application of the TSTS type cooperative model to the learning outcomes of students of the XI MIPA grade 3 SMA Negeri Bukittinggi.Keywords – TSTS (Two Stray Two Stray, learning outcomes)

Abilityyof mathematicall understanding concepts isi one of mathematics learning purpose. The capability of mathematiical communication is a base ability that each students whould have in learning, however the fact of mathematiical communiication at the grade of SMP N 20 Padang is low yet, that it needs to be improved.Learning process nowadays tend to be teacher center. To solve this problem, teacher needs to apply a learning model than canfacilitate the students in understanding the material and to build their knowledge. The learning model that can be applied is Cooperative Learning type Formulate-Share-Listen-Create (FSLC). Type of this research is a quasi-experiimental with Static Group Design. Base in data analysis that using the t test obtained P -value = 0.019 < α = 0.05, we deduce that the capability of mathematiicalncommunication in students by using Cooperative type FSLC is better than the students that learn by using conventional learning.Keywords–cooperatif learning, Formulate-Share-Listen-Create, mathematical communication, conventional learning

Mathematical reasoning ability is one of the abilities that must be possessed by every student in mathematics learning. But in reality the mathe|matical reasoning abi|lity of class VIII stu|dents of SMPN 8 Padang is n|ot op|timal. One of the factors that causes it to occur is learning that has not been fully able to facilitate students to develop mathematical reasoning abilities properly. Efforts can be made to improve students mathematical reasoning ability, one of which is to implement discovery learning models. T|he pur|pose of t|his stu|dy wa|s to deter|mine the differenses in mathe|matical reasoning abil|ities of stu|dents who use discovery lear|ning wit|h mat|hematical reasoning abilit|ies that use conventional lear|ning in the class VIII of SMPN 8 Padang. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with Static Group Design. The population in this study was class VIII SMPN 8 Padang with samples class VIII.E and VIII.F. The research instrument used was a tes of mathematical reasoning ability in the form of esaay quastion. Based on the analysis of the date from the final tes results obtained that at a significant level og 0,005 by performing the t-test obtained P-value = 0,048 because the P-v|alue < α th|en H0 is re|jected. This shows that students mathematical reasoning abilities with convensional learning in class VIII of SMPN 8 Padang. In this case, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model influences students mathematical reasoning abilities. One of the abilities that must be developed in mathematics learning is the ability to think critically. But in learning and assessment the results of mathematics learning the ability to think critically is not a concern. There is a test that is widely used to measure students' critical thinking skills, namely Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal (WGCTA). The research objective is to describe the level of students' critical thinking skills based on the WGCTA indicator. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were students of class VIII-1 who were selected based on certain considerations. The research instrument is in the form of test questions and interview guidelines. The data obtained are the results of tests regarding critical thinking skills and the results of interviews. The analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The guarantor technique for the validity of the data used is technical triangulation. Based on the results of analysis and triangulation, it can be concluded that students' critical thinking skills are in the moderate category. The level of critical thinking skills of students is classified as being on the indicator of deduction and interpreting information, classified as low to moderate on indicators of inference and analysis of arguments, classified as low on the indicator of assumption (regnition of recommendations) . A mathematical communication ability is a skills that must be own by the student’s. However, based on the results of tests that have done in SMPN 3 Padang Panjang it still low and centered teacher learning. This can be improved by applying the cooperative type Thiink Pair Square learning model so it makes the student’s become active in the learning process. The purpose of this research are to know and describes whether the ability of mathematical communication skills of the student’s of the experimental class is better than the control class and to know how is the learning activities of the students by applying to Think Pair Square learning models. This type of this research is a combination of quasy experiment and descriptive research with a static group design research design.
