Abstract

Alas Trik Museum, Kedungbocok Village, has adopted catalog-based digitization as a step to facilitate public access to its historical collections. With the rapid advancement of digital technology, this change allows museums to overcome some of the limitations of traditional collection management. Catalog-based digitization creates opportunities for museum collections to be widely accessible through the internet, allowing people from various countries to explore and learn about local history and culture without having to physically visit the museum. This paper discusses in detail the implementation of catalog-based digitization at Alas Trik Museum, which not only increases the effectiveness of collection management and presentation, but also opens up new avenues for education and information dissemination. With digitization, historical collections can be presented more engagingly and interactively, fostering a deeper understanding and respect for the cultural and historical values contained therein. However, the process of implementing this digitization also faces various challenges, such as the need for appropriate technological infrastructure, educated human resources, and adaptation to ever-changing technological developments. This article also discusses these challenges and how efforts to overcome them can have a positive impact on the growth of museums and the preservation of cultural heritage. With this discussion, it is hoped that readers can better understand the significance of digitalization in the context of museums and how this innovation can enrich the visitor experience and expand publications on history and culture, so that the Alas Trik Museum remains relevant and contributes to the preservation of culture globally.

Abstract

Abstract. Problem: Dental caries is a disease caused by plaque bacteria. Dental caries often occurs in children aged 6-12 years in the changing teeth phase. Changing teeth are easily damaged by plaque bacteria because at this phase the tooth structure has not matured. Efforts that can be made to avoid dental caries are to provide counseling about the dangers of plaque bacteria in the changing teeth phase. Method: The method used is counseling with an open-ended process-based approach using PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) media and leaflets. The type of data obtained is primary data (pretest and posttest). Results: The results of the counseling obtained an average knowledge before counseling of 54.44% and after counseling of 88.04%.

Abstract

Strengthening practical 21st century skills, such as creativity, logical thinking and problem solving, needs to be instilled from an early age to form a generation of learners who are adaptive to technological developments. This community service activity aims to introduce and implement robotics learning to grade 5 students at SDN Margorejo 1 Surabaya as part of an extracurricular program. The program was implemented for two months in the form of weekly workshops which included an introduction to basic robotics concepts, practice assembling line follower robots, as well as child-friendly, visual-based programming logic simulations. The implementation method uses an active-participatory approach through reflection, interactive discussions and direct practice in groups. Evaluation is carried out through qualitative observations and measuring students' enthusiasm and involvement in completing robotics challenges. The results of the activities showed a significant increase in students' interest in learning, logical thinking abilities, and creativity. Responses from teachers and parents also show that this activity is relevant and worthy of adoption as a form of innovative learning at the elementary school level. This program provides evidence that robotics learning can be an effective medium for fostering critical and collaborative thinking skills from an early age. Keywords: robotics creativity, programming logic, elementary school, community service, educational workshops

Abstract

Abstract

Energy shortages remain a major challenge for remote communities, impacting sustainable economic development. Micro-hydropower plants (PLTMH) utilizing flowing water resources offer an efficient and cost-effective renewable energy solution, especially for small-scale electricity needs (<100 kW). a community-based service research project in Bedadung Village, Jember Regency, examined the application of Archimedes screw turbines in PLTMH with variations in the immersion levels of the waterwheel (0.5 and 0.75 of the wheel diameter) and measurements taken at different time intervals. Simulation results showed that a waterwheel immersion of ¾ below the water surface produced an average rotation of 476.27 rpm and a voltage of 12.75 V, which was more optimal for meeting the electricity needs of the local community, particularly in tourist locations and commercial areas. A participatory approach and learning-by-doing methods enhanced community understanding of local resource potential while sustainably building energy and economic self-reliance. This study emphasizes the importance of turbine design adjustments and water resource management for the technical and ecological sustainability of PLTMH in remote areas.
