Abstract

This study examines the influence of socioeconomic factors on the prevalence of wasting among toddlers in Boyolali Regency during 2014–2023. Despite improvements in economic indicators such as Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and per capita income, progress in reducing wasting has lagged behind neighboring areas. Using multiple linear regression analysis, the study investigates the relationship between GRDP, poverty, food prices, per capita income, and the number of children on severe wasting rates. The study uncovers that poverty and food prices have a significant positive impact on wasting, while per capita income has a significant but negative impact, suggesting that increased income worsens wasting due to inequality and shifting consumption priorities. Whereas, GRDP and the number of children show no significant relationship with wasting. The study concludes that poverty and food prices require targeted interventions to address inequality and promote nutrition education. Policy implications include improving social assistance programs and enhancing access to quality food. This research contributes to understanding socioeconomic determinants of malnutrition and supports local government strategies to improve child nutrition.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact and effectiveness of monetary policy on the decline of the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research employs a quantitative approach using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) with equations 2017-2024 to evaluate the relationship between monthly IHSG and variables such as BI Rate and Exchange Rate. The findings reveal that IHSG significantly affects JUB, con-sistent with previous research indicating that monetary expansion by Bank Indonesia en-hances market liquidity and raises IHSG. However, during the pandemic, global uncertainty disrupted the relationship between IHSG and other economic variables, as evidenced by the insignificance of IHSG concerning BI Rate andthe significant impact of Exchange Rate in the first equation, and Dow Jones in the second. The significant influence of Dow Jones on IHSG highlights global market integration and its effect on investor sentiment in Indonesia. The study emphasizes the importance of understanding the relationship be-tween IHSG and economic variables amid global uncertainty.

Abstract

The reduction in poverty and the high gap between the target and the actual poverty percentage are followed by an increase in capital expenditure, a drastic increase in regional investment in 2022 will not reduce poverty drastically, labor absorption will increase drastically by 3.1%, and economic growth is ranked 3rd. throughout the island of Java. So this research aims to determine the influence of Capital Expenditures, Regional Investment, Labor Absorption, and Economic Growth on Poverty in Central Java Province in 2017-2022. The samples used in this research were 35 regencies/cities in the province of Central Java in the period 2017 to 2022. Data analysis used in this research was multiple linear regression using the T-Test, F Test, and Coefficient of Determination (R2) . The research results show that capital expenditure has a significant positive effect on poverty, regional investment has an insignificant negative effect on poverty, labor absorption has an insignificant negative effect on poverty, and economic growth has a significant negative effect on poverty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the factors that influence the economic growth of West Java Province. These factors include foreign investment, domestic investment, health, education and infrastructure. This study uses panel data regression analysis on secondary data of 18 regencies and 9 cities in West Java Province in 2017-2022. The results showed that foreign investment, education and infrastructure tend to have an impact on increasing economic growth in West Java Province. Domestic investment and health have no effect on increasing economic growth in West Java Province. The implication of the findings in this study is that the West Java government needs to increase the attractiveness of foreign and domestic investment and allocate investment to strategic sectors that have great potential for economic growth. In addition, increasing economic growth can be achieved by improving the quality of health and education, as well as strengthening infrastructure, especially water infrastructure. Thus, it can encourage the acceleration of economic growth and improve the welfare of the people in West Java Province.

Abstract

The implementation of national development cannot be separated from the role of the government through the programs it funds. Government spending is generally allocated to productive activities that can basically contribute to reducing disparities between provinces in Indonesia. However, not all of this government spending ends in waste alone. Based on this, this study aims to measure the extent to which publik spending efficiency can contribute to the convergence of economic growth in Indonesia by using government function spending data from 34 provinces for the period 2017 to 2022 taken from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. Furthermore, dynamic panel data estimation uses the Generalized Method of Moment (GMM) method to obtain the economic growth convergence coefficient.
