Abstract

The socioeconomic transformation that has occurred in recent decades has brought significant changes in labor force participation patterns, particularly women's involvement in entering the labor market. This study aims to analyze the driving factors that can influence women's decisions to work in both formal and informal sectors. This research uses education level, number of children, husband's income, and marital status as independent variables. This study employs a quantitative approach with binary logit method as the estimation technique. The type of data used is secondary data from SAKERNAS (National Labor Force Survey) 2024. Based on the estimation results, it was found that education level has a high probability of influencing women's decisions to work in Malang City, while the number of children, husband's income, and marital status do not have a high probability of influencing women's decisions to work.

Abstract

Environmental issues alongside the looming climate crisis have developed into serious problems. ;Sustainable development lenses are becoming increasingly important in natural resource and environmental management decisions. Among other things, it relates to measuring the capacity of a resource and the changes in the environmental quality. Agriculture is one of the most vulnerable sectors. Broadly speaking, all types of agriculture are sensitive to changes in natural conditions. On the other hand, there is an increasing demand that accompanies population growth. Therefore the agricultural sector requires attention related to the application of a sustainable approach. Through this research, the costs incurred in the production through the form of; resource depletion and; environmental degradation have been calculated. As well as mapping the correlation that exists between the two. The research took a case study of the food crop sector in Malang District over the period of 2018-2023. The research then shows the findings that the conventional food crop sector in Malang District has caused an impact on depletion and degradation. Meanwhile a positive correlation was found between the two. However, it is considered at a very weak level of closeness. The results of this study provide information and reference on the state of depletion and degradation in the food crop sector.

Abstract

The Indonesian capital market, represented by the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG), serves as a crucial barometer reflecting the national economic condition and market participants' perceptions of macroeconomic variables such as inflation, the USD/IDR exchange rate, interest rates, and money supply (M2). This study aims to analyze the influence of these macroeconomic variables on changes in the IHSG during the 2019–2025 period using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) approach. The results indicate that only the money supply (M2) variable significantly affects IHSG changes both in the long and short term. Inflation, exchange rate, and interest rate variables do not show significant effects on IHSG. These findings suggest that monetary liquidity plays a central role in the dynamics of the Indonesian stock market during the study period, hence monetary policy management should focus on supporting capital market stability. This study recommends that investors and policymakers pay close attention to developments in the money supply as a key indicator in investment decision-making and economic policy formulation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Special Allocation Fund (DAK), Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR), Average Years of Schooling (AYS), and Life Expectancy (LE) on the poverty rate in Ngawi Regency during the period 2003–2024. Poverty in Ngawi Regency is a complex issue that requires serious attention from both local and central governments, especially in the context of fiscal allocation. This research uses a quantitative approach with the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method to analyze the long-term and short-term relationships between the independent variables and the poverty rate. In general, an increase in DAK allocation, labor force participation, education level, and public health status contributes to reducing poverty. This study is expected to serve as input for formulating more strategic regional fiscal policies focused on sustainable poverty alleviation efforts.

Abstract

The use of reusable bags has been proven to reduce the volume of single-use plastic waste (SUPB). This study analyzes the Willingness to Pay (WTP) and the factors that affect WTP for the use of reusable bags when going shopping at Chatime Soehat Corner, Malang City. The research methods used are descriptive analysis, Contingent Valuation Method (CVM), and binary logistic regression, with data collection was done by distributing questionnaires. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the majority of respondents are female, aged 20–30, with an income of less than Rp 1,500,000, and are unemployed. The WTP values obtained through CVM analysis revealed that the majority of respondents chose Rp 2,000 as the maximum price, with an average resulting in Rp 3,935. In other words, the factors significantly affecting WTP are price perception and consumer lifestyle, while income and knowledge do not have a significant effect. The implications of this study reveal consumers' willingness to pay more for reusable bags, which can be utilized by the government and business actors to support sustainable industries. By implementing reusable bags as a replacement for Single-Use Plastic Bags (SUPB), this policy can lead to a reduction in plastic waste.

Abstract

The property and real estate sector in Indonesia is highly capital-intensive and vulnerable to financial instability, making the early identification of financial distress crucial for corporate sustainability. This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability (ROA), liquidity (CR), leverage (DER), free cash flow (FCF), and firm size (Total Assets) on the level of financial distress in property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018–2024 period. The research employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression with the Random Effect Model (REM) and robust standard errors, based on a sample of 17 companies over seven years. The analysis uses a modified Z-Score formula as an indicator of financial distress. The findings reveal that CR and FCF have a positive and significant effect on the Z-Score, indicating stronger financial resilience, while DER and firm size significantly reduce the Z-Score, suggesting a higher risk of financial distress. ROA does not show a statistically significant influence. These results highlight the critical role of liquidity and free cash flow in maintaining financial health, while excessive leverage and scale can amplify financial risk. The study implies that firms must strengthen their asset management and capital structure to mitigate distress and enhance long-term viability.
