Abstract

This study examines how contextual factors and influences shape undergraduate students' attitudes and behaviors regarding artificial intelligence (AI) learning. Globally, AI is becoming increasingly important in education, making it imperative to understand the readiness and intentions of students for AI-enhanced learning. One hundred and ninety-two higher education students in Nigeria were surveyed online about their confidence, attitudes, self-efficacy, and age–the relationships between these factors and students' intentions to learn through AI were analysed using structural equation modelling. A significant direct association was found between confidence, attitudes, self-efficacy, and subjective norms and the intention of students to use AI. Mediation analyses demonstrated that attitudes significantly mediate the relationship between subjective norms and intention. Perceived usefulness is therefore of paramount importance. Despite this, age does not play a significant role in modifying these relationships. A review of the study’s quality criteria, including fit indexes and reliability measures, indicated that the model reasonably fit the data. The study provides valuable insights into the factors influencing undergraduate students' intentions to engage in AI learning

However, many villages in Lamongan regency have not used the application due to various factors, even though in Lamongan there is a SID application called SIGENDUK (Superior Village Movement Information System with Character). This article discusses assistance in the use of the SIGENDUK application to improve public services in Lamongan district. Assistance was carried out in three villages in Lamongan regency, namely RejoTengah, Kendalkemlagi and Menongo, because the three villages have not used the SIGENDUK application in public services. Assistance is carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The assistance results concluded that the village government did not use the SID application because there was no socialization and training on SID, there was a lack of human resources who were technology experts and because of costs. On the other hand, the Lamongan Regency Government has a SID application called SIGENDUK which can be used for free. Based on this, socialization and training on the SIGENDUK application were held for residents and village officials. With this socialization and training, the village government has access rights to use the SIGENDUK application and devices to serve various administrative and data storage services.

Abstract

This article aims to provide an overview of pioneer orientation initiatives designed to promote religious moderation among religious leaders in West Kalimantan, organized by the Regional Office of West Kalimantan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs. The content of this article is derived from our community engagement activities at Hall 2 of the Asrama Haji [Hajj Dormitory]. The importance of strengthening religious moderation among religious leaders in West Kalimantan cannot be overstated, given their crucial role in promoting religious harmony. This reinforcement is achieved through pioneer orientation activities aimed at preparing religious leaders to incorporate religious moderation into their daily practices within the community. The material for these pioneer orientation activities to strengthen religious moderation is provided using the discovery learning model. This model maximizes participants' ability to systematically, critically, and logically explore and investigate, allowing them to independently acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and skills required for religious moderation within the context of their roles. The desired outcome is a tangible change in behavior. An analysis of the pretest and posttest results, as well as the assessment process that we conducted reveals a significant increase in knowledge, accompanied by shifts in attitudes and behavior of religious leaders towards a more moderate approach.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is an instructional approach designed to address the diverse needs of students, considering their varying levels of readiness, interests, talents, and learning styles. Challenges such as low student engagement and the limited capacity of teachers to adapt instructional materials have been identified as key issues. This Community Service Program aims to assist teachers at SMPN 1 Padalarang in developing and implementing differentiated learning strategies, promoting student-centered activities and improving student engagement. The program employs a service-learning approach, structured into three phases: preparation, which includes partner location surveys and module development; service delivery, involving theoretical socialization, group discussions, and classroom mentoring; and reflection, which entails academic assessments, satisfaction surveys, and evaluation reporting. The results of this community service initiative indicate a significant improvement in the knowledge and insights of the teachers at SMPN 1 Padalarang, West Bandung Regency, with 95% of participants demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of differentiated learning implementation in the classroom. Additionally, the teachers showcased enhanced skills in designing Lesson Plans (RPP) that integrate differentiated learning in terms of content, process, and products, achieving an average success rate of 90%. Furthermore, a Discussion Group Forum focused on differentiated learning was established, providing a platform for continuous professional development. Notable outcomes also include the selection of lead teachers for differentiated learning and the initiation of a monthly program by the Subject Teachers Association (MGMP) aimed at reflecting on and setting learning goals based on differentiated instruction principles.
