Abstract

This study aims to examine the information content contained in the announcement of the emergency Community Activity Restrictions policy announcement on July 1, 2021 which was carried out by analyzing abnormal returns and trading volume of healthcare sector activity in the period surrounding the event. This research is a quantitative research with an event study approach. The data analysis tool used to test the hypothesis in this study is the one sample T-test statistical test on the abnormal return indicator and the Paired sample t-test on the trading volume activity indicator. The results of the t-test indicate that there is a positive abnormal return on the main board stocks, thus proving that the market responds to the event as good news. Meanwhile, on the development board stock, there is an abnormal return that has a negative value, thus proving that the market responded to the event as bad news. It can be concluded that the healthcare sector stock market responds to the emergency PPKM announcement differently according to the characteristics of the stock listing board. The results of the different Paired Sample T-test on the average trading volume activity (ATVA) indicator before and after the emergency PPKM announcement show that there are differences in ATVA on the main board and development board stocks. This difference may be caused by the behavior of investors who sell or buy stocks in the health sector based on the category of the stock listing board

Abstract

Banking as an intermediary institution whose task is to collect funds from the community and channel it back to the community in the form of credit. In distributing credit, there are internal bank factors such as bank health that must be considered, which can be seen from several ratios such as CAR, LDR, NPM, BOPO, ROA, and NPL. This study aims to examine the effect of banking health ratios on the distribution of working capital loans to MSMEs during the Covid-19 pandemic. The object of this research is banking which is included in the list of BUKU for the period 2019-2021. The research sample used was 15 banking companies. This type of research is explanatory research with quantitative research methods. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that during the study period the CAR variable, LDR had a significant positive effect and NPL had a significant negative effect on the distribution of working capital loans to MSMEs. Meanwhile, simultaneously, all variables have a significant effect on the distribution of working capital loans to MSMEs with a magnitude of effect of 0.994106 or 99.41%. Some banking ratios are still in a stable condition even though the economy is weakening due to the pandemic, this is a strategic step for the government and banks, one of which is to maintain the quality of lending.

Abstract

Financial Performance is a key indicator for banks in evaluating and identifying the role of financial ratio in supporting their operational performance development. The purpose of this research is to identify the effect of delivery channel, firm size, and liquidity on banks’ financial performance using panel data regression analysis. This study finds that delivery channel does not influence Non-Performing Loan (NPL) and Return on Assets (ROA), but it affects Return on Equity (ROE) and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). Then, firm size affects all ratios that are used as the proxy of financial performance, while liquidity does not influence them. Furthermore, delivery channel, firm size, and liquidity simultaneously affect the financial performance of Indonesian banks. This research can be used by banks as a foundation to evaluate their future financial performance and to inform the public about their revenues from delivery channel transactions with their customers. In addition, it can be used by the public to support banks’ financial performance through the use of their financial products and services and by the government to make correct decisions for their policies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) score on the company's stock returns. This study uses a sample of companies listed on the IDX30 Index from 2017-2020. The analysis technique used is in the form of multiple linear analysis using ESG score as the independent variable and stock return as a dependent variable and analyzed with the application of E-views 10. The results show that only the environmental score influences the company's stock returns. In further analysis, the social score and governance score do not affect the company's stock returns. Environmental score has a negative effect on stock returns. Companies must increase investment and assets if they want to reduce and limit the number of emissions issued in their business processes. This will affect the company's profitability so that it can influence investors' decisions.
