Nozzle : Journal Mechanical Engineering (p-ISSN 2301-6957, e-ISSN 2776-219X) publishes research articles, conceptual articles, reports field studies, the best practices and policies of mechanical engineering on a national and international stage (See Focus and Scope). The articles of this journal are published every six months, that is in January and July (2 issues per year), and published by the Politeknik Harapan Bersama Tegal. The editors will only accept the manuscripts which meet the assigned format. Abstract

Abstract  Corn is one of the main ingredients that can be processed into several types of food to meet the needs of the community. The process of processing corn using tools is growing rapidly along with technological advances so as to provide convenience for the community, especially farmers, in processing agricultural products. The machine used is a sheller type which is expected to reduce long processing times and save fuel costs if used in the long term. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in pulley diameter on fuel consumption of the MCT 5-60 corn sheller engine using a Mct 5-60 15 sheller engine and an additional GX 160 diesel engine with a power of 5.5 PK for the purpose of experimenting data collection with pulley 2 inch, 2.5 inch, and 3 inch with a fixed rpm of 1500 at the time of this test with 3 trials each. Specific fuel consumption is defined as the amount of fuel used to produce a unit of power to determine the effect of variations in pulley diameter on fuel consumption. The test method uses the experimental method, namely by changing the variation of the diameter of the pulley on the engine that is driven with a load of 3 kg, the diameter of the pulley is 2 inch, the fuel is 16 ml and the average time is 2.27 minutes, the pulley is 2.5 inch the average material burn 12 ml and the average time is 1.22 minutes. The 3 inch pulley is 5 ml and the average time is 1.04 minutes. and the size of the diameter of the pulley which is driven by a 4.5 inch diameter engine and the best results on a 3 inch diameter pulley with an average fuel consumption of 5 ml and an average testing time of 1.04 minutes.

Abstract

Abstract -- Population growth can trigger an increase in the need for electrical energy, but this is not balanced with an increase in the supply of electricity, where the installed power capacity is fixed, while the needs of the community continue to increase and various supporting activities. Such conditions encourage the search and study of the use of new energy sources, which are renewable, environmentally friendly, and environmentally friendly which aim to produce electricity without any assistance from BBM and are expected to provide convenience in obtaining electricity. , by utilizing a 12 volt, 75 Ah battery / battery, a 12 volt dc alternator equipped with an inverter with a voltage of 1500 watts to convert DC current to AC, 500 watt ac driving dynamo, pulley with a ratio of 1,333 : 1 inch. The test was carried out with a variation of the pulley ratio of 1,333 : 1 inch, the maximum load material tested was using a 50 watt, 100 watt, 200 watt, 250 watt, 300 watt, 350 watt, 380 watt light bulb. Based on the test data using the maximum load with a pulley ratio of 1,333: 1 inch for 380 watts, the voltage drop can reach 11.4 volts more than the maximum load the portable electric machine does not work optimally. This causes the alternator to not be able to issue an electric voltage of more than 12 volts for the battery charging process, so that the inventor cannot work properly which results in a low inverter output voltage unable to provide electric current to the propulsion motor.

Abstract

Abstract  The paving block press machine uses a 2 ton capacity electric jack made from plastic waste which functions to press and melt, with the help of an electric jack. The aim of this research is to determine the process of making an electric jack press machine with a capacity of 2 tons from plastic waste. In this research, the method used is a descriptive qualitative method, because the research will only explain how the process and manufacture of an electric jack press machine with a capacity of 2 tons is made from plastic waste. Therefore, research activities are only limited to finding out about the tools and materials needed in the process of making the machine using the cutting process, welding process, sanding process, assembly process, painting process.

Abstract

Abstract  A manual hydraulic press machine with a capacity of 20 tons is a production tool that functions to press or press thick-layered workpieces with the help of a hydraulic pump. The aim of this research is to determine the process of making a manual hydraulic press machine with a capacity of 20 tons. In this research, the research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method, because this research will only explain the process of making a 20 ton capacity manual hydraulic press machine, therefore research activities are only limited to finding out about tools and materials. what is needed in the process of making the machine and also about the process of making the machine. Based on research, the appropriate materials used in the process of making a 20 ton capacity manual hydraulic press machine are materials that have been well tested, such as UNP ST 37 iron material which produces a maximum tensile strength of 481,559 N/nm2 with a loading force of 77, 5000 kN. and in testing assental iron with a diameter of 16mm and a length of 24cm, it produces a bending test of 17.6044 kgf/mm2 with a loading force of 3,575.06 kgf, has a yield load of 56.4063 kN and a tensile load of 350.490 N/nm2. Apart from that, in making a manual hydraulic press machine with a capacity of 20 tons, there are several processes, namely design, measuring, cutting, welding, smoothing, assembling, punching, and painting and tensile testing on ST 37 steel plates.

Abstract

Abstract -- A lawan mower is a tool used for cutting grass or plants. This tool is ususally used to tidy up the garden. One of the most important suppliers of lawn mowers using remote control is fuel so that the lawn mower can move according to is permormance. The purpose of this final project is to find out how the fuel consumption of a lawn mower uses a remote control. The test was carried out ussing a lawn mower with a capacity of 196cc which was operated at speeds of 1500, 2000 and 2500rpm. The fuel used is pertalite and pertamax 92. The test results show that the higher the engine speed, the greater the cutting capacity. High fuel flow rate (consumption) with engine speed, it is very important to analyze the fuel consumption with the results of 5,7 ml/seconds at 1500rpm rotation, at 2000rpm 6,8 ml/second using pertalite fuel and at 2500rpm rotation 9,5 ml/second results. At 1500rpm, 2000rpm and 2500rpm engine speed using pertamax fuel is 6,2 ml/second, 9,3 ml/second and 9,3 ml/second.
