Abstract

Universitas merupakan institusi pendidikan tinggi yang memiliki peran strategis dalam mencetak sumber daya manusia yang unggul, berdaya saing, serta mampu berkontribusi terhadap pembangunan bangsa. Dalam menjalankan perannya, universitas tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat transfer ilmu pengetahuan, tetapi juga sebagai pusat penelitian, pengembangan inovasi, serta pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, produktivitas, kualitas, dan kinerja menjadi tiga aspek utama yang menentukan keberhasilan sebuah universitas dalam mencapai visi dan misinya. Namun, dalam praktiknya, banyak universitas menghadapi berbagai permasalahan yang menghambat pencapaian produktivitas optimal, kualitas pendidikan yang tinggi, serta kinerja institusi yang efektif dan efisien.Selain itu, penerapan keuangan yang transparan dan akuntabel dapat memperkuat tata kelola dan budaya kerja. Sistem pelaporan keuangan yang baik meningkatkan pengawasan dan mengurangi potensi penyimpangan. Lingkungan kerja yang tertib dan terpercaya akan mendorong kolaborasi, koordinasi, serta komitmen seluruh civitas akademika dalam mencapai visi dan misi universitas.Lebih jauh, pengelolaan keuangan yang profesional juga meningkatkan kepercayaan pemangku kepentingan, seperti pemerintah, lembaga akreditasi, dan mitra eksternal. Kepercayaan ini berdampak pada dukungan kebijakan dan pendanaan yang lebih besar, sehingga universitas mampu meningkatkan kinerja secara berkelanjutan dan berdaya saing tinggi.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan fondasi pembangunan manusia dan masyarakat, namun berbagai permasalahan dapat menurunkan kinerja siswa, guru, dan sistem secara keseluruhan. Kinerja di sini merujuk pada hasil belajar, produktivitas, dan pencapaian akademik. Berikut adalah beberapa permasalahan utama yang sering diidentifikasi dalam literatur pendidikan, berdasarkan analisis global dan lokal. Penerapan Total Quality Management (TQM),   di pendidikan, melalui pendekatan seperti TQM, standar ISO, atau reformasi berbasis data, memberikan manfaat signifikan bagi siswa, guru, institusi, dan masyarakat secara keseluruhan. Ini membantu mengatasi permasalahan seperti yang disebutkan sebelumnya, dengan fokus pada peningkatan standar dan hasil jangka panjang. Berikut adalah manfaat utama, didukung oleh bukti empiris dari studi global.
