Abstract

This research was motivated by the low results of science learning on puberty material in class VI students at SDN Burangkeng 02, Setu District, Kab. Bekasi. The aim of this research is to determine the improvement in science learning outcomes regarding puberty through the Problem Based Learning model. This type of research uses Classroom Action Research (PTK) with planning, implementation, observation and reflection steps. This PTK is carried out in two cycles. Cycle I was carried out on 03 April 2023 and Cycle II was carried out on 04 May 2023. The research was carried out in class VI at SDN Burangkeng 02, Setu District, Kab. Bekasi with a total of 20 students consisting of 6 men and 14 women. Based on the conclusions of the research results, it shows that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve science learning outcomes for puberty material in class VI students at SDN Burangkeng 02, Setu District, Kab. Bekasi. The increase in science learning outcomes in building materials is known from the test results in Cycle I and Cycle II which show an increase in the average score and percentage of classical completion. The average student score for spatial construction material in the initial condition (pre-cycle) was 69 with classical completeness of 40% (8 students) out of 20 students who achieved a score ≥ 75 (KKM score). In cycle I, a score of 74 was obtained with classical completeness of 60% (12 students) achieving a score of ≥ 75 (KKM score). Cycle II obtained a score of 81 with classical completeness of 80% (16 students) which achieved a score of ≥ 60 (KKM score).

Abstract

This research describes educational robotics for elementary/primary students. This research is library research. The analysis shows that educational robotics (ER) can be introduced in elementary/primary schools, as it is compatible with subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The benefits of educational robotics are enhancing higher-level thinking skills, computational reasoning, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Robotics activities foster creativity and imagination, technological capabilities, teamwork, and collaborative skills, interest in technology culture, and skills development both motor and soft skills development. Educational robotics bridges the gap between students' learning and teachers' teaching methods, stimulating curiosity, interest, and motivation and also improving students' collaborative abilities and special needs education. By incorporating hands-on exercises, technological engagement, and collaboration, robotics can develop 21st-century skills. Educational robotics can help students with special needs by reducing teacher pressure and promoting personalized learning experiences. Therefore, the advancements in robotic technology make students more accessible and can be used as learning media to support their skills. However, educational robotics faces challenges in education including gender, teachers, teaching methods, curriculum, technology, resources, technical issues, teachers' lack of knowledge, teaching incentives, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, inadequate measures for successful integration, time, rules/regulations, and high costs.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach at SD Negeri Sukabumi Utara 07 Jakarta, especially regarding students' abilities in solving problems. The research method used is a case study by collecting data through observation and interviews. The informants in this research were teachers and students. Research findings show (1) there is an increase in students' problem solving abilities after participating in PBL-based learning; (2) students are more involved and active in PBL learning; (3) students feel more motivated in the PBL learning process because they are faced with problems that are challenging and related to everyday life; and (4) PBL provides opportunities for students to develop social skills, such as teamwork, communication, and leadership, which are also very important in real life. This research makes an important contribution to strengthening results regarding the effectiveness of the PBL approach in improving students' problem-solving abilities at the elementary school level.

Abstract

In order to achieve the goals of national education, the Indonesian government has established the Merdeka Curriculum as the current curriculum in place. The Pancasila Student Profile is part of the Merdeka Curriculum designed to meet Indonesia's education targets as a producer of young generations with Pancasila values. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach aimed at depicting diverse conditions in actual research. Data collection techniques in qualitative research include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate that Pancasila plays a central role in shaping the identity and character of the Indonesian nation. As the foundation of the state, Pancasila reflects the diversity of values and characteristics of the Indonesian nation. The concept of Pancasila Students emphasizes the importance of education in shaping individuals who are skilled, morally upright, globally diverse, cooperative, independent, critical thinkers, and creative. The implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile at SDN 58/IV Kota Jambi has been successful, demonstrating a commitment to shaping the younger generation who firmly uphold Pancasila values for the nation's progress.

Abstract

Post-pandemic learning requires adaptation to enhance students' readiness to learn. Observations indicate that students' self-directed learning motivation is low, in line with learning outcomes below the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM). A lack of enthusiasm in the learning process was also noted. To address these issues, Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted to improve students' mastery of science concepts on the Solar System topic using audio-visual media. The research was carried out at SDN Lubang Buaya Bekasi with 40 sixth-grade students in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The study was conducted in 2 cycles, each consisting of two meetings. Each cycle involved planning, action implementation, evaluation, and reflection stages. The results showed an increase in student activity and concept mastery, with the class average rising from 72.00 in cycle I to 86.00 in cycle II. Classical completeness was achieved with 90% of students meeting the KKM in cycle II. The research methods included observation, interviews, and written tests. Data collection techniques included observation sheets, field notes, and evaluation questions. These results demonstrate that the use of audio-visual media positively impacts the mastery of Solar System concepts.

Abstract

One of the learning activities in campus teaching activities is using the project-based learning model. This research aims to describe good practices, challenges and good experiences from implementing learning activities using project-based learning in rotating ice cream making activities. This research is qualitative research, with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this research were 20 students in class IV of one of the elementary schools in Cirebon district. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation of learning activities. Data analysis uses data triangulation techniques which include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of research from learning in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects using project-based learning in the activity of making rotating ice cream, good practices were obtained: students were able to produce rotating ice cream products, students understood the concept of Change of Form material, namely the concept of "freezing” and “melt”. Challenges: related to time management and class order as well as student involvement in project activities. Abstract

This article discusses the use of the technology-based learning platform Wordwall in the context of the Natural Science (IPA) subject at the elementary school level. Natural Science plays a crucial role in shaping students' understanding of natural phenomena and scientific processes, but student motivation in this subject is often a challenge. Wordwall has proven effective in increasing student participation, building conceptual understanding, and enhancing learning motivation. This literature review article analyzes several studies related to the use of Wordwall in the context of IPA in elementary schools, highlighting the positive impact of Wordwall on student learning motivation. The research employs a literature review method and evaluates three articles that focus on the use of Wordwall in IPA education in elementary schools. The results of the research indicate that the use of Wordwall effectively enhances student learning motivation, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This medium helps boost students' interest in learning and enables an engaging learning experience. In conclusion, the utilization of Wordwall in elementary education has the potential to improve student learning motivation, and educational innovations should be considered to ensure sustainable learning quality.
