About the Journal Indonesian Health Literacy Journal (IHLJ) is a journal that publishes original and applied products of the scientific studies, researches, analyses, and community services conducted towards the purpose of protecting and developing the health of individuals and community to improving the quality of life for audiences of scientist, researcher, educator, practitioner, and students throughout the world. Indonesian Health Literacy Journal (IHLJ) aims to bring together the parties working on the fields of health protection/development and healthy life on a joint platform. Health literacy means individuals achieving the necessary knowledge, skill, and self-confidence level for changing their lifestyle and conditions towards improving self-health and social health. It is also closely linked to understanding challenging health conditions and issues. Due to the healthcare services perceived sometimes as complex and confusing, many people have a hard time getting information about health and healthcare options. This journal provides health literacy in research and community service become easy-accessible. Indonesian Health Literacy Journal (IHLJ) covers a wide range of health subjects, such as community health, nursing & midwifery, psychology, and pharmacy. This journal is an open-access and peer-reviewed journal, published four times a year by Suluh Adiluhung Publisher (SAPub), Indonesia. Scientific projections of future point out to the need for strengthening the cooperation platforms on the field of health literacy. Abstract

Lansia yang kurang memperhatikan kemampuan fisiknya yang telah mengalami penurunan keseimbangan, penurunan otot tungkai bawah, penurunan penglihatan dan pendengaran, sehingga akan sangat berisiko jatuh. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan pada Minggu pukul 08.00-10.30 WIB bertempat di GTDI Tetes Embun Desa Paron Kab. Kediri. Pelaksana PKM terdiri 2 dosen dan 8 mahasiswa serta tim pelayanan kesehatan dari eXBM Kediri. Tahapan pelaksanaan dimulai dari pendaftaran, skrining resiko jatuh, pemeriksaan tekanan darah, pemeriksaan kadar gula darah, asam urat, pengobatan dan penyuluhan serta pemberian makanan tambahan. Sasaran yang diperiksa sejumlah 57 lansia. Hasil kegiatan PKM didapatkan bahwa lansia memiliki resiko jatuh yang tinggi, hasil skrining pada lansia didapatkan resiko jatuh berdasarkan faktor intrinsik 22,8%, faktor ekstrinsik 22,8%, dan faktor situasional 68,4%. Lansia mengalami hipertensi lebih dari 50% (61,4%), Asam urat (38,8%), Diabetes Milletus  (8,8%). Disimpulkan PKM peningkatan derajat kesehatan pada lansia di GTDI Tetes Embun Paron Kediri diperoleh hasil skrining resiko jatuh meliputi resiko faktor intrinsik, faktor ekstrinsik, dan faktor situasional yang tinggi pada lansia dengan temuan kasus hipertensi yang utama dan asam urat serta diabetes milletus. Pendidikan kesehatan melalui skrining ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kesadaran lansia untuk mencegah jatuh dan komplikasinya.
