Abstract

Internship programs are crucial in higher education, providing students with practical work experience and preparing them for professional careers. However, the internship monitoring process at LP3L Universitas PGRI Kanjuruhan Malang is still conducted manually, resulting in inefficiencies in student registration, progress tracking, and final report archiving. These manual processes often cause delays, miscommunication, and difficulties in effectively monitoring student progress. This research aims to design and develop a web-based internship monitoring system using the Prototype model and User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. The system is intended to streamline the internship process by providing a structured and automated platform for students, lecturers, and administrators. Key features of the system include online student registration, automated progress tracking, and digital archiving of final internship reports. The system is developed using the CodeIgniter framework for the backend, MySQL for database management, and Bootstrap for the user interface, ensuring a user-friendly and efficient experience. The User Acceptance Test (UAT) results indicate an average satisfaction rate of 88.60%, proving the system's effectiveness in enhancing internship management. The implementation of this system significantly improves workflow efficiency, reduces administrative burdens, and facilitates better communication among stakeholders, ultimately leading to a more structured and transparent internship process.

Abstract

CV. OKTA is a printing company engaged in packaging production. The company faces several issues, including poor recording of customer orders, lack of proper tracking of raw materials used during the production process, and unrecorded production outputs. These problems can disrupt production activities and potentially lead to significant losses if not addressed. To overcome these challenges, an Information System was developed using the Prototype Method, which involves thorough analysis to gather requirements and generate system concepts. This method includes five main stages: Communication, Quick Plan, Modeling Quick Design, Construction of Prototype, and Deployment Delivery & Feedback. The resulting Production Process Information System can be accessed by Admin, PPIC, Operator, and Owner, with all stages from start to finish being recorded in the system. The system was developed using the PHP programming language and Laragon as the database environment. The results of the study show that the system functions effectively and supports the operations of CV. OKTA, achieving an average User Acceptance Test (UAT) score of 93.23%.

Abstract

Malinau Kota District is a sub-district in Malinau Regency, North Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. This sub-district serves as middle of directorate and commercial activity in Malinau Regency. The economy in Malinau Kota District is supported by the trade, agriculture, and handicraft sectors. This region is renowned for its local craft potential, reflecting the richness of the region's culture. Furthermore, Malinau Kota offers strategic access as a gateway to the hinterland, making it a hub for local economic development, including the UMKM sector. The design and construction of a UMKM Marketplace for Handicraft Products in Malinau Regency, North Kalimantan, aims to utilize e-commerce technology as a means of promoting UMKM products nationally and internationally. This portal is designed to increase the visibility of local handicraft products, thereby expanding market share and introducing the potential of the Malinau region to the wider community. The research suggests that strengthen the competitiveness of Malinau's handicraft products in the global market.

Abstract

The web-based fish auction management information systemwas designed to address various problems arising from manual transactionmanagement at the Fish Auction Place (TPI) of Sendangbiru Hamlet, MalangRegency. The continued reliance on manual processes leads to calculationerrors, loss or damage of documents, and is time-consuming in transaction management, particularly in the lengthy and error-prone process of note creation. Each transaction requires the manual creation of several types ofnotes, thereby increasing the possibility of human error and the accumulationof unpaid notes. In this research, a User-Centered Design (UCD) approachalso using tools like MySql as main database and CodeIgniter framework wasused to ensure that the developed system truly aligns with the needs of users,such as fishermen, traders (bakul), and TPI managers. Evaluation using UserAcceptance Test (UAT), UAT evaluation results showed that the designedsystem meets feasibility criteria with high percentages in the aspects ofusability (87.5%), portability (94.38%), reliability (97%), business processsuitability (83.75%), and performance (91.87%). System show that the fishauction transaction process becomes faster, more transparent, and accurate,and it reduces the risk of errors that occur in the manual system. This systemprovides easier access for fishermen and traders to monitor transactions,simplifies data and information management for TPI managers. Thus, theimplementation of this system is improving the quality of fish auctionmanagement at TPI Sendangbiru Hamlet.

Abstract

Parking deposit management often encounters obstacles ranging from deposit discipline to transaction recording. Field conditions show that parking attendants frequently delay the deposit process, especially during unfavorable weather, while treasurers face time constraints as they work during the same hours as the attendants, making them often unavailable. The limited devices owned by parking attendants also pose a challenge, as their smartphones can only run lightweight applications and are restricted to basic browsing and communication via WhatsApp. These conditions demand a technological solution that is flexible, easy to use, and does not burden the devices used by attendants. The purpose of this study is to implement a Progressive Web Application (PWA) with WhatsApp gateway notifications to support parking deposit reporting. PWA enables web applications to function like mobile applications but with minimal resources and fast access. The results of this study successfully developed a web-based parking deposit application by applying PWA, transforming the web-based deposit program into a mobile-like application that simplifies user access. Users no longer need to type URL addresses through the browser. Furthermore, the implementation of WhatsApp messages or notifications allows real-time communication, while receipt delivery becomes easier and does not consume smartphone storage space since receipts are sent in the form of links.

Abstract

The development of information technology and e-commerce has changed people’s shopping patterns, allowing consumers to shop online without going to physical stores. Kepanjen market in Malang regency is facing challenges from a decline in the number of buyers due to increasing interest in online shopping, especially after the pandemic. To solve this problem, this research offers a website-based e-commerce information system with a UCD approach, which gives traders in the Kepanjen market the opportunity to sell goods boldly and reach more buyers. After going through the design and evaluation stages using black box testing, this system was tested with a user acceptance test which obtained a score of 81.9%, which is included in the category of strongly agreeing with the existence of this information system.
