Abstract

In decision-making involving parents and children, sometimes there are differences of opinion in it, especially to determine the future such as the level of education. To determine this level of education, the factor that sometimes becomes a dispute between parents and children is the orientation of the intended career path. For this problem, especially the determination to enter college, there are many obstacles for both. For this reason, this research was conducted to analyse the reasons for the difference of opinion for further study to college between children and parents. Therefore, the researcher has observed several gap year students in 2022 to be observed regarding their reasons for choosing a gap year and their parents' opinions on the reasons why they gap year.

Abstract

Perkembangan di bidang media komunikasi tidak ada habisnya termasuk munculnya media baru atau yang lebih dikenal dengan media sosial. Pemanfaatan media sosial tidak terbatas pada fungsi komunikasi saja akan tetapi media sosial dapat digunakan sebagai sumber informasi, edukasi. Salah satu platform media yang banyak digunakan adalah Tiktok dengan presentase 70,8% dari total pengguna media sosial pada tahun 2023. Salah satu kreator Tiktok yang menyediakan konten edukasi karya dengan banyak peminat adalah akun @vmuliana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh konten @vmuliana terhadap mahasiswa ilmu komunikasi UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan penyebaran kuesioner melalui google form dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 142 orang dari total mahasiswa. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori ekologi media. Dari analisis data melalui uji regresi linier sederhana diperoleh hasil koefisien determinasi R square sebesar 0,744 yang berarti  nilai presentase perubahan variabel bebas Var Y yang mampu dijelaskan oleh variabel terikat Var X sebesar 74,4% sedangkan sisanya sebesar 25,6% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa konten tiktok @vmulian memiliki pengaruh yang kuat terhadap kesiapan kerja mahasiswa angkatan 2023.  Kata kunci: Tiktok, Vina Muliana, Kesiapan Kerja

Abstract

United Nations Fund for Population Activity (UNFPA) became one of the international organizations that is active in giving aid to help social and gender issues such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). The Egypt government itself has made regulations related to the prohibition of FGM that clearly resulted giving the negative impact on women, such as on health sector and women's rights regarding private affairs. The presence of UNFPA and NCW is expected to be able to suppress and reduce the potential growth of FGM cases through the cooperation. With concerns related to gender inequality and misogyny, through this study, this analysis will be using the theory of liberal feminism and the International Organization Theory as the basis regarding to UNFPA – NCW’s efforts in supporting the Egyptian Government’s project to eliminate FGM in Egypt by 2030. This research will use qualitative method including document-based research and interview with Hala Yousry as the professor of rural sociology and as Vice Head of Rural Women Committee at the NCW This research is expected to be able to increase readers' awareness of the impact of FGM and how the international organizations and the country’s government combating the specific issue.   Keywords: FGM, Egypt, Liberal Feminism, International Organization Theory, UNFPA, NCW

Abstract

Abstract Personal branding strategy of Dedi Mulyadi as a humanist political figure on Instagram @dedimulyadi71 This study analyzes how Dedi Mulyadi uses Instagram to build a humanist political image through consistent visual storytelling, cultural symbols, and direct social engagement. Using a qualitative descriptive method with an interpretative approach, data were gathered from Instagram content analysis and in-depth interviews with followers. Findings reveal that Mulyadi’s empathetic and grounded communication style fosters public trust and reshapes perceptions of political leadership. His strategy highlights the power of authentic narratives in digital political branding. This research contributes to political communication studies and offers practical insights for politicians navigating social media platforms. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami strategi komunikasi pemasaran melalui konten viral di media sosial, khususnya pada akun Instagram @nonocorner_. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode observasi langsung terhadap konten yang dipublikasikan secara publik pada rentang waktu Maret hingga Mei 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi viral marketing yang diterapkan oleh Nono Corner melalui akun Instagram @nonocorner_ telah berhasil meningkatkan engagement dan jangkauan konten. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa elemen-elemen seperti emosi, nilai informatif, keterkaitan sosial, daya visual, dan kemudahan untuk dibagikan merupakan faktor-faktor kunci yang mendorong viralitas konten. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan manfaat bagi pemahaman tentang strategi komunikasi pemasaran di media sosial dan dapat digunakan sebagai referensi bagi bisnis yang ingin meningkatkan kehadiran online mereka.
