Abstract

Nongkrong is a term often used in Indonesia to describe casual gathering and socialising, usually in public places such as cafes, food stalls or parks. It has become an integral part of the lifestyle of young Indonesians, especially among teenagers. The purpose of this study is to explore the role of nongkrong as a way to deal with stress among adolescents in Makassar City. Qualitative research methods were used by conducting in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and thematic analysis to understand how nongkrong can help reduce stress and improve emotional well-being. The results showed that nongkrong provides important social support, allowing adolescents to share their experiences and feelings in a relaxed and supportive environment. The social interactions that occur while nongkrong help reduce academic and social pressures while improving social and emotional abilities. However, this study also highlights the negative impacts of nongkrong such as disruption to study time as well as the risk of being influenced by negative peer behaviour. Therefore, it is important for adolescents to be selective in their choice of friends and manage their time wisely. Therefore, it is important for adolescents to be selective in their choice of friends and manage their time wisely. Overall, nongkrong can be an effective way for adolescents to deal with stress as long as it is done wisely and in a positive environment. Support from family and educational institutions is needed to help adolescents manage stress with healthy and constructive strategies. This study provides new insights into cultural stress management practices among university students in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research was taken from a business operating in the food and beverage industry located in the Pontianak area, West Kalimantan, precisely on Jalan Hijas, namely "Tartar Cake," This shop sells a variety of drink and dessert products with various interesting flavors. The aim of this research is to determine the profit optimization model using the simplex linear programming method. The simplex method is an approach to finding optimal solutions that have two or more decision variables. The product studied was the slice cake variant of double chocolate and double cheese which sold for IDR 20,000.00 with the decision variable being the raw material used for tartar cake. Based on the tested data, optimal results have been obtained, namely X1 = 100, X2 = 100, and Zmax = 120,000,000. This means that in one production there are 100 units of Double Chocolate Cake (X1) production and 100 units of Double Cheese Cake (X2) production which will produce a maximum profit of IDR 120,000,000.

Abstract

The Constitutional Court (MK) Decision No. 90/PUU-XXI/2023 has attracted widespread attention regarding the dissenting opinion arguments put forward by a number of judges regarding the application of the Open Legal Policy (OLP) principle and the Code of Ethics of MK Judges. In this juridical review, we explore the various arguments contained in the dissenting opinion of Decision No. 90/PUU-XXI/2023, particularly those related to legal considerations related to OLP and the moral obligations of judges in interpreting and applying the law. This abstract aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the dynamics of legal interpretation and conflicting arguments in the context of this controversial Constitutional Court decision. By analyzing the arguments put forward in the dissenting opinion, we highlight the complexity of the legal and ethical issues involved, as well as the implications for the legitimacy and authority of the constitutional court. Through this review, it is hoped that a deeper insight into how the Constitutional Court dealt with the conflict between OLP and judges' code of ethics in the context of its decision-making can be found, as well as the implications of this decision for the future of constitutional justice in our country.

Abstract

Maternal mortality during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum is a critical indicator of healthcare quality in a country. Despite various efforts by the Indonesian government, the maternal mortality rate (MMR) remains alarmingly high, as evidenced by data from the Maternal Perinatal Death Notification (MPDN) showing an increase from 4,005 deaths in 2022 to 4,129 deaths in 2023. This narrative literature review aims to analyze the implementation of policies to reduce maternal mortality in Indonesia, identify challenges, and provide recommendations for improving policy effectiveness. The study reviewed 15 previous research articles, selected using the Publish or Perish application with a focus on publications from 2020 to 2024. Key findings indicate that Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive antenatal care (ANC) and implementing special programs like Childbirth Planning and Prevention of Complications (P4K) and Maternity Insurance (Jampersal). Effective stakeholder coordination, community empowerment, and continuous evaluation and adjustment of health programs were identified as critical factors in successful policy implementation. The research concludes that a comprehensive and sustainable approach, involving enhanced coordination among stakeholders, participatory community programs, equitable healthcare services, and regular program evaluations, is essential to significantly reduce maternal mortality and improve maternal and child health in Indonesia. The findings underscore the need for ongoing efforts to address the persistent challenges and ensure the effective implementation of maternal health policies.
