Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam (ISSN 2088-9992; E-ISSN2549-8738) accredited Sinta 5 Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, is an academic journal that emphasizes on actual issues related to Islamic guidance and counseling. Journal of Counseling Religi Journal of Islamic Counseling Guidance is published twice a year (once every six months, issued in June and December) by the Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi Islam Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Ampel Surabaya is valid since the first Journal of Vol.1, No 1, June 2011. Abstract

This research aimed to produce effectiveness of social guidance for developing adolescence  assertive behavior.  The method of research used quasi-experimental research design  with non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study were adolescence of Child Social Welfare Institution (LKSA) Nugraha 2015, aged 15-17 years, totaling 28 adolescents (15 adolescencents in the experimental class and 13 adolescencents in control class). Data was collected by assertiveness instrument, arranged on the aspects of thought, feeling, and action. The results showed social guidance effective to develop adolescence assertive behavior, increased of ten indicators of self respect and respect for others, positive thinking, responsible for the opinions expressed, open to change, confidence, self esteem, self-acceptance, listening to others, eye contact, give and receive feedback, indicators were not significant  for empathy, open body posture, and participate in the association. Recommendations showed  for guidance and counseling study program, child social welfare institution (LKSA) and further research.

Abstract

Islamic Parenting in minority region ( The way of Islamic family to teach and maintain in the member of the family in the center of Semarapura Tengah, Klungkung – Bali). There two focuses in this research (1) How the way the process of to Islamic Parenting in minority region ( The way of Islamic family to teach and maintain in the member of the family in the center of Semarapura Tengah, Klungkung – Bali)? (2) How the result of Islamic Parenting in minority region ( The way of Islamic family to teach and maintain in the member of the family in the center of Semarapura Tengah, Klungkung – Bali)? The researcher uses qualitative descriptive method to answers the research problem in the following above. The aim of this method is to express the faith of the member in minority region. The data that use in this research derived from observation and documentation that serving in chapter presentation and analyzing data. Subject of this research was derived from the Muslim family in center of Semarapura Tengah, Klungkung – Bali. The previous step is analyzing data that already found and collected to answer the research problem. The process of Islamic Parenting in minority region, the parents not only give advice and surveillance but also show good behavior as the role modal for their children. The parents also teach moral value of Islam and also strength relationship and harmonization. The results of the process Islamic Parenting in minority region are application of the parents to obey the rule of the God that become moral value of islam that teach start from childhood also in their society as a harmony life without any differences from the race, region  or religion, and etc.

Abstract

This study discuses some factors that affect someone to be a transgender, family interaction and explain the important role as parent using feminist counseling. This study shows that environmentand family interactions are the factors that affect a person becomes transgender. A counselor has several steps to change the role of transgender in parenting use feminist counseling. They are include identification of problem, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment using empowerment techniques which is explain the counselor’s aim and expectations. Understanding of gender’s role explains how to solve trangender’s problem and their role as a parent. It has function to make the client know their research is quite success, some of transgender can change their attitude, their appearance and know their role as a parent

Abstract

This study examines about the process of SUSCATIN (the course of the bride and bridegroom candidate or pre wedding counseling) and the effectiveness of SUSCATIN which was done by KUA Kecamatan Sumbersuko, Lumajang to create a happy family. This study used quantitative approach by using survey method which is research method to collect data from the specific natural place but the researcher did a treatment in collecting the data. In this study, the researcher only did one test because the part of KUA Kecamatan Sumbersuko, Lumajang had done SUSCATIN to the object that will be examined. The result of this research which had been done by KUA Kecamatan Sumbersuko, Lumajang is effective in creating a happy family

Abstract

The study was carried out as a response to a problem faced by a student, teacher, class teacher and parent on a lack of fresh student’s self-adjustment competence in school circumstance. The student’s lack competence in adjusting him/herself, if it is ignored and not solved well, would affect their comfort in learning at school, resulting some consequences such as poor  learning achievement, dropping out and moving to new school.One of approaches  which can be done in improving student’s self adjustment is to serve group counseling through discussion technique. This study is aimed at revealing the effectiveness in improving student is self-adjustment. The theory refered to adjustment to school theory from Schneider and discussion technique from Bulatau. Pseudo-experiment with non-equivalent control group design was applied. The data then were analyzed with statistical non-parametric mann whitney and kolmogorov-semirnov.  The study shows that the depiction of students self-adjustment is in an average category, school choice which is determined by parents  becomes a quality background in students self-adjustment and discussion technique in group counseling in improving self-adjustment in showing  respect and applying teacher’s rule indicators. The recommendation of the study can be addressed to: 1) school management; the counseling service in improving student self-adjustment should be performed during first semester for student not from Taruna Bakti Junior High and empathy and corporation for student from Taruna Bakti Junior High. 2)  Counselors; a councelor can develop a personality aspect such as understand and do teachers’ rule with responsibility through group and  individual counseling service approach as usually happens in school circumstance. The approach can be one of solutions in eradicating self-adjustment problems. 3) Next researchers; the next researchers can consider parent-student communications in deciding school choice in improving the maturity of personality aspects in obtaining the quality of self-adjustment in school environment and for the researcher who is interested in the approach of discussion technique in next research is suggested that a group should be in one class (in-tack group), not from different classes.

Abstract

Efektivitas Konseling Kognitif-Perilaku untuk Mereduksi Stres Akademik (Penelitian Eksperimen Kuasi Terhadap Peserta Didik Kelas XI Farmasi SMK Al-Wafa Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015). Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling. Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas konseling kognitif-perilaku untuk mereduksi stres akademik. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif melalui metode penelitian eksperimen kuasi dengan pola Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Hasil studi pendahuluan tentang gambaran stres akademik terhadap 51 peserta didik menunjukkan 16 peserta didik yang termasuk ke dalam kategori stres akademik tinggi, 35 peserta didik yang termasuk ke dalam kategori stres akademik sedang, dan tidak ada peserta didik yang termasuk ke dalam kategori stres akademik rendah. Penelitian ini digunakan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan antara peserta didik yang diberi perlakuan berupa konseling kognitif-perilaku dengan yang tidak diberi perlakuan. Untuk itu, hasil penelitian ini diuji dengan menggunakan Uji Mann-Whitney. Adapun hasil uji statistiknya adalah p value 0,16 < 0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa konseling kognitif-perilaku efektif untuk mereduksi stres akademik peserta didik kelas XI SMK Al-Wafa Bandung. Adapun indikator gejala stres akademik yang berhasil direduksi dengan menggunakan konseling kognitif-perilaku adalah merasa kebingungan atau sulit konsentrasi, jenuh (merasa tidak menikmati hidup), berbohong, dan membolos.

Abstract

This study exposed behind by the importance of career orientation in the lives of teenagers in the age of  junior hight school. The study aimed effectiveness of guidance by role playing techniques to develop students' career orientation. This study is based on the theory of career maturity by Donald E. Super which focuses on the career development process focuses on the growth and direction of individual career issues throughout its life span. This study uses a quantitative approach, the experimental method and design repeated measures design. The study was conducted at the Junior School Master of Indonesia, Depok (school orphans and street children) by the number of participants as much as 7 student experiments. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data on career orientation were collected using a questionnaire developed career orientation of the theory of Donald. E. Super. Data analysis technique used was Wilcoxon test. The results showed an increase in student scores experimentation before and after the intervention as well as changes in the behavior of each counseling session. Recommendations of the research  was intended to: (1) Master of Guidance and Counseling should be active and creative in using the techniques in providing guidance and counseling services. (2) School Master Indonesia which practically should undertake the preparation of additional learning activities with role playing techniques as an alternative to the teaching at the school in directing students to plan their future. (3) Homes to provide child protection services with role playing as an alternative technique to provide a good lesson to plan for the future and the needs of others. (4) Researchers further to follow up the results of the study with regard variables related career orientation.
