Reflection : Islamic Education Journal, intended for the publication of scientific articles published by Asosiasi Riset Ilmu Pendidikan Agama dan Filsafat Indonesia, is a journal that presents insights, research, and critical thinking in the field of Islamic education. The journal emphasizes the importance of reflection in the process of learning and teaching Islam, both in schools and in informal education settings. Each issue of this journal takes readers on a journey of deep reflection on various aspects of Islamic education. From evaluating the teaching methods that have been used, analyzing the Islamic education curriculum, to describing personal experiences in understanding and applying Islamic teachings in everyday life. This journal is published 1 year 4 times (February, May, August, and November).

<![CDATA[As a nation with a predominantly Muslim population, Indonesia bears a profound responsibility to cultivate Islamic religious education (PAI) that transcends mere knowledge transfer and serves as a means to shape the character of the younger generation. PAI is anticipated to foster a character rooted in the noble values of Islam, as well as to internalize moral and ethical principles as guiding standards in daily life. However, religious education at the school level faces considerable challenges, as conventional teaching methods tend to result in minimal student engagement. This research aims to explore the impact of revitalizing Islamic religious education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Baitul Arqom on the character development of students. Employing a qualitative approach, this study utilizes interviews, participatory observations, and focused group discussions to gather data. The analysis reveals that the implementation of routine activities, such as dhuha prayers, exemplary teaching by educators, and active learning methods positively contributes to the enhancement of students' discipline, sense of responsibility, and social concern. This research also uncovers a positive correlation between the quality of religious education and the character development of students, thereby underscoring the necessity for innovation within the curriculum and teaching methodologies of PAI. Recommendations are put forth for the development of educational programs that are more responsive to the demands of the times and the aspirations of the younger generation, ensuring that religious education in Indonesia can cultivate individuals who are intellectually astute and morally upright.]]>

<![CDATA[The digital era has changed the way teenagers interact with information and spiritual practices. On the one hand, quick access to various sources can enrich religious knowledge. On the other hand, inaccurate or deviant information is also easily spread, potentially leading to shirk practices. Teenagers in the identity search phase are often influenced by social media content and popular culture that can cloud their understanding of monotheism. The main challenge faced is the shift in spiritual values where traditional religious practices are often replaced by new rituals and beliefs that are not in accordance with religious teachings. The transformation of spiritual practices among teenagers is also seen in their adaptation to digital platforms, where many seek community and spiritual support online. The purpose of this study is to identify effective strategies to support a correct understanding of monotheism and reduce the influence of shirk, as well as to utilize the potential of digital media for constructive religious education. Empowering teenagers in understanding and practicing religious teachings critically is very important to maintain the authenticity of spiritual practices in the digital era. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method, by making the Qur'an, books of hadith, books, magazines, articles and related journals as the main reading sources. The results of the study show; (1) that the advancement of digital technology has a great influence on the imitation of foreign cultures that smack of polytheism, (2) several figures exemplify the culture of polytheism while social media spreads it, (3) It is difficult to stem the flood of information on social media. Efforts to improve it include frequently listening to studies and attending training on the dangers of polytheism.]]>

<![CDATA[The background of this study is the increasingly rapid social, cultural, and technological changes that have an impact on the dynamics of morality in society. In the midst of these changes, aqidah (belief) and ethics become important foundations in building solid morality. However, the main challenge faced is how to maintain the relevance of the teachings of aqidah and ethics in the context of modern life that continues to develop. This study aims to analyze the role of aqidah and ethics in shaping individual and collective morality amidst changing times. The main objective is to understand how religious beliefs and ethical principles can be applied effectively in maintaining moral integrity amidst the rapid flow of global change. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with analysis carried out by looking at the relationship between the values of aqidah, ethics, and morality in everyday life. The results of the study show that aqidah and ethics have an important role in shaping resilient morality amidst change. A deep understanding of aqidah and the application of ethical principles have proven to be a foundation for society to maintain positive moral values. However, the results also show that adaptation and renewal in the approach to teaching aqidah and ethics are needed to be more relevant and accepted by the younger generation living in the digital era.]]>

<![CDATA[Prophet Muhammad SAW, was a religious leader and state leader who had a commendable personality. He is the best role model (uswatun hasanah) for Muslims throughout the Islamic world. Through the Islamiyah da'wah organization, the Prophet was able to change the course of history and greatly influence the development of Islamic broadcasting from the jahiliyah (pre-Islamic) era to the era of Islamic civilization. The mission of Rasulullah SAW during the Mecca to Medina period was aimed at forming a pluralistic Muslim personality (in Mecca) as an absolute element of building an Islamic government in Medina where the community of Medina residents was plural. Pluralism in Medina was reflected in the existence of differences in religion, ethnicity and class and to create tolerance between each other through the Islamic da'wah organization. The Prophet's success in building a government was marked by the creation of the Medina charter as a law that regulated the plural community of Medina residents. This was despite his efforts in fighting for and preaching Islam, so that he was known as a highly respected Messenger and received sympathy from Muslims in Mecca - Medina at that time and the Islamic world in general. This study aims to reveal the events of the Prophet Muhammad's migration, the factors that caused it, its impacts, and the lessons that contributed to the formation of Islamic society. The research method used in this research is the method This descriptive study uses literature as a data collection tool. The analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show; (1) That in the da'wah journey there are strategies so that the da'wah conveyed can be accepted, (2) the importance of knowing the important elements in da'wah activities to describe the journey of the Prophet's da'wah according to Islamic history (Mecca - Medina period).]]>

<![CDATA[The concepts of justice and peace in Islam are fundamental elements that underlie the social, political and moral structure in Islamic society. Justice (al-'Adl) in Islam includes not only legal or distributive justice, but also social and spiritual justice which demands a balance between individual rights and collective interests. This research aims to provide a deeper understanding of the importance of these two concepts in creating a harmonious and civilized society, as well as how Muslims can contribute to creating a better world. This research is descriptive-analytic in nature, namely describing and analyzing in depth how Islam views justice and peace based on available sources. Following are the research steps: Determine the main research theme (justice and peace), collect data sources, read and analyze relevant texts, identify Islamic principles related to justice and peace. These principles of justice are strengthened by the teachings of the Koran and Sunnah which emphasize the importance of equal treatment, eliminating injustice and fulfilling human rights. Peace (as-Salam) in Islam is not only interpreted as the absence of conflict, but as a state of harmony rooted in justice and a sense of social responsibility. This research can provide deeper insight into the concept of justice in Islam. Islam teaches that justice is not only applied in the context of human relationships with God, but also in relationships between humans. This research can examine how these principles of justice can be applied in various contexts of daily life, including government, economics and social relations.]]>

<![CDATA[The writing of this thesis is motivated by the many problems that occur to the younger generation that show moral degradation. This thesis aims to find out the concept of moral education values in the book Al-Usfuriyyah by Shaykh Muhammad bin Abu Bakar Al-Ushfuri and its relevance to modern Islamic education. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with library research data collection techniques and data analysis using content analysis. The results of the study that 1) The values of moral education are an effort to form a noble person through teaching about manners, morals and ethics. 2) The content of the book of Al-Usfuriyyah covers three aspects, namely spiritual aspects (creed), moral aspects (morals), and legal aspects (sharia). 3) The values of moral education in the book of Al-Ushfuriyyah inclaud morals to Allah SWT, morals to oneself, morals to others, morals to nature. 4) The values of moral education in the book of Al-Usfuriyyah are relevant to be implemented to overcome the moral degradation that occurs, because it emphasizes the importance of fostering faith and morals as the basis for good character building.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to: 1) Identify the learning outcomes of students of the Al-Qur'an Hadith at MTsN 01 Wonosobo; 2) Analyze the application of Nearpod-based learning media at MTsN 01 Wonosobo; 3) Assess the effectiveness of the application of Nearpod-based learning media on the learning outcomes of students of the Al-Qur'an Hadith at MTsN 01 Wonosobo.The approach used is a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group pretest posttest design. The subjects of the study consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Before the learning process, both classes were given pretest questions. The experimental class received learning using Nearpod-Based Learning Media, while the control class used PPT Media. After that, both classes underwent a final test in the form of a written test. The test results were then analyzed using the t-test and gain test to determine the differences between the two classes and the improvement in learning outcomes.Data analysis showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the application of Nearpod compared to conventional learning methods. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of technology-based learning media in Islamic education and encourage teachers to integrate technology in the teaching and learning process in order to achieve better results. The results of the study showed that in learning the Qur'an and Hadith, students who used Nearpod-Based Learning Media experienced a significant increase, with the gain test value for the experimental class reaching 0.618. In addition, there was a significant difference between students who were taught with Nearpod-Based Learning Media and those who were not taught with the media, as evidenced by the t-test with a tcount value> ttable at a significance level of 1%, namely 3.21> 2.676, and at a significance level of 5%, namely ttable 2.008.]]>

<![CDATA[Polygamy in Islam is regulated with clear provisions based on the Qur'an and Hadith. Surah Al-Nisa/4:3 permits polygamy with a maximum of four wives, under the primary condition of fairness in fulfilling material needs such as food, clothing, and shelter. However, Surah Al-Nisa/4:129 emphasizes that emotional fairness, such as inclinations of the heart, cannot be mandated as it is beyond human capability. The Prophet Muhammad SAW exemplified how to practice polygamy while adhering to the principle of justice emphasized in Islam. Historically, the regulation of polygamy aimed to address social crises in early Islamic society, such as the high number of widows and orphans due to war. Polygamy was viewed as a social solution to protect the rights of women and children, albeit under strict conditions. In conclusion, polygamy in Islam is an option permitted only in specific circumstances, not an obligation or outright recommendation, with a strong emphasis on justice and the welfare of all parties involved.]]>

<![CDATA[Religious tolerance is an essential concept in religious life reflected in Islamic teachings. Islam teaches the importance of respecting and honoring differences, whether in religion, ethnicity, or culture. The concept of religious tolerance in Islam can be found in several verses of the Qur'an, which call for not imposing religion, living in harmony and peace, and helping one another regardless of differences. The freedom to choose a religion is a fundamental human right that must be respected, as each individual has the right to choose and embrace their religion according to their belief. Islam not only teaches acceptance of differences but also respects the existence of other religions, whether major or minority. Religious tolerance in Islam goes beyond merely respecting differences; it also includes the attitude of living together peacefully and helping one another, in order to create a harmonious and blessed life.]]>
