Abstract

Anang Sya’rani Street in Martapura Timur Subdistrict, Banjar Regency, serves as a vital access route for community activities in the areas of economy, social interaction, and religious tourism, particularly for pilgrims visiting local religious sites. However, this road frequently experiences flooding during the rainy season due to its low elevation, which disrupts mobility and accelerates road surface damage. To address these issues, a community service initiative was carried out involving the elevation and improvement of the road using a technical approach. This included the installation of a Lower Base Course (LPB), Upper Base Course (LPA), asphalt paving using Hot Rolled Sheet–Wearing Course (HRS-WC), and concrete casting of road shoulders to ensure structural stability. The activity was conducted over a two-month period, with strict supervision on material quality, final elevation levels, and occupational safety compliance. Evaluation results indicate a significant improvement in the road’s resistance to water inundation, along with positive feedback from local residents. This road elevation effort has proven to be an effective solution in enhancing public mobility and improving the sustainability of local infrastructure.

Abstract

Assistance in the financial reporting of village administration is a strategic effort to enhance the capacity and accountability of village governments in managing finances transparently and in accordance with regulations. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of implementing financial reporting assistance for village officials, particularly through the use of the Village Financial System application (Sistem Keuangan Desa or SISKEUDES). A participatory approach was employed, using observation, interviews, and document review methods to compare financial reporting practices before and after the implementation of assistance. The results show a significant improvement in the technical capabilities of village officials, timeliness in financial report submissions, and better organization of administrative documents. Furthermore, the program encouraged public transparency by publishing summary reports to the community. Existing challenges include limited human resources and the need for continuous training. Therefore, financial reporting assistance has proven to be a relevant and effective intervention in strengthening good village financial governance.

Abstract

Women who take on dual roles as professionals and homemakers are vulnerable to psychological pressure, role conflict, and mental health disorders. Female teachers in pesantren-based secondary education institutions face unique challenges due to the intersection of moral, cultural, and professional expectations. This community service initiative aimed to provide education on both the positive and negative aspects of dual roles, along with practical strategies for time management and mental health maintenance. The implementation used a participatory approach and visual media. The activity was conducted on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at secondary education institutions in Suryalaya, Tasikmalaya, and was attended by 30 female teachers. The program included interactive lectures, educational video screenings, group discussions, and collective reflection. The results of the pre–post test showed a 68% increase in participants' understanding. Evaluation indicated that 92% of participants found the activity highly beneficial, and a post-event support group was formed. Abstract

Organizational vision serves as a strategic compass that directs all elements of an institution toward long-term goals. However, without effective leadership, the process of internalizing and operationalizing this vision often fails to reach its full potential. This community service initiative aimed to strengthen the capacity of educational personnel in pesantren-based institutions in Suryalaya by developing their understanding and application of effective leadership principles. The intervention employed participatory approaches through interactive workshops, group discussions, and strategic planning simulations. Thirty education staff members from various institutions took part in the program, representing roles from school leadership to teaching and administration. The results showed a significant increase in the participants’ ability to articulate their organizational vision, identify key performance indicators, and develop actionable leadership strategies. Post-activity evaluation indicated that 90% of participants considered the program useful and applicable to their institutional context. This program highlights the importance of aligning leadership capacity with the organizational vision to foster institutional resilience and progress.

This community service initiative, conducted by lecturers from STIE Latifah Mubarokiyah (STIELM), aimed to enhance the managerial capacity of retail business units under the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School by developing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategies and providing technical assistance in financial report preparation. The activity employed a participatory and hands-on learning approach. Thirty participants from pesantren-affiliated retail businesses joined the sessions, which covered CRM principles, customer loyalty programs, and basic bookkeeping. Practical outputs included the formulation of customer service guidelines and structured income-expenditure records. Evaluation results indicated that 87% of participants gained new insights and expressed confidence in applying CRM techniques and financial recording practices. The program involved 35 participants, comprising housewives, youth, and micro-business owners, and focused on business planning, marketing strategies, and participatory learning. As a result, 20 business plans and marketing tools were produced, while 91% of participants expressed high satisfaction. Abstract

The digital era has transformed the way organizations manage their human resources, demanding adaptive skills, digital competencies, and agile systems. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), especially in rural and semi-urban areas, often struggle to adapt to these rapid changes due to limited knowledge, technology access, and workforce readiness. This community service program aimed to enhance the human resource management (HRM) capacity of MSME actors in Tasikmalaya through digital literacy training, workforce planning, and the introduction of simple HR digital tools. Using the IPOO framework (Input–Process–Output–Outcome), the program was attended by 30 MSME owners and managers and facilitated by faculty members from STIE Latifah Mubarokiyah. Results showed increased understanding of HRM principles, improved ability to manage digital workforces, and enthusiasm to adopt digital tools for employee data and task tracking. This initiative underscores the importance of equipping MSMEs with modern HR skills to remain competitive and sustainable in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of sustainable tourism on the community surrounding Kiara Artha Park, Bandung, from a social, economic, and environmental perspective. The approach used in this study was descriptive qualitative, with data collection methods through direct observation and interviews with eleven visitors and several vendors operating in the park area. The results indicate that the park has a positive impact on social comfort, where visitors feel safe, calm, and have a space to interact and exercise. From an economic perspective, the park's presence has increased the income of small vendors and created new business opportunities. However, several obstacles remain, such as noise from surrounding traffic, facilities that are not accessible to people with disabilities, and a lack of informative signage. This study concludes that Kiara Artha Park reflects the principles of sustainable tourism, although it still needs strengthening in terms of inclusivity and environmental management. Future research is recommended to use a quantitative approach to measure economic impacts more thoroughly and involve more actors in the analysis.
