Abstract

This research explores the determinants influencing decision making among online food delivery app users in Can Tho City, Vietnam, against the backdrop of the city's evolving culinary landscape and the rapid expansion of digital technologies. Through qualitative methods including semi-structured interviews, thematic analysis, participant observation, and document analysis, key factors driving user decisions are identified. These factors include convenience, trust, food quality, delivery time, price sensitivity, and social influences. The findings underscore the complexity of user behavior within this context and highlight the importance of addressing these factors to improve user satisfaction and engagement with online food delivery apps. Despite the study's valuable insights, limitations such as geographical specificity, sample size, and reliance on self-reported data are acknowledged, suggesting avenues for future research including longitudinal studies, comparative analyses, experimental interventions, and quantitative assessments. By addressing these gaps, future research can advance our understanding of user behavior in online food delivery contexts and inform strategies for enhancing the user experience.

Abstract

This research explores the intricate relationship between digital innovations and market dynamics within the Turkish tourism businesses. Employing a qualitative approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including representatives from tourism agencies, hoteliers, tour operators, and technology providers. Thematic analysis of the data revealed several key findings. Firstly, digital innovations have enabled tourism businesses to enhance customer engagement and deliver personalized experiences, leveraging social media, online booking platforms, and mobile applications. Secondly, technology adoption has led to improved operational efficiency and cost reduction through automation and optimization of various processes. Thirdly, digital platforms have facilitated market expansion and global reach, enabling businesses to tap into new markets and attract international tourists. However, challenges such as digital literacy, data privacy concerns, and the need for government support remain prevalent. Collaboration between the public and private sectors is crucial in driving digital transformation and fostering sustainable growth in the Turkish tourism industry. While the qualitative nature of this study limits generalizability, future research endeavors could explore longitudinal trends, conduct comparative studies across regions, and investigate the role of emerging technologies. Overall, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the impact of digital innovations on the Turkish tourism sector and provides valuable insights for academia, industry practitioners, and policymakers alike.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are integral to Indonesia's economic development, comprising a vast majority of national business entities and significantly contributing to the GDP. Despite their importance, MSMEs face challenges in a highly competitive landscape, exacerbated by foreign competition. This study focuses on Agribusiness MSMEs in Balikpapan City, aiming to analyze their entrepreneurial orientation and business performance while identifying factors influencing this relationship. Employing a quantitative approach, data was collected through structured questionnaires from registered MSMEs. The analysis, conducted using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), reveals that innovation, proactiveness, and autonomy significantly influence business performance, while competitiveness and risk-taking do not. The findings underscore the pivotal role of innovation in enhancing SME performance, providing insights for policymakers and managers to support SME growth and sustainability. Despite its contributions, the study has limitations, including its focus on a specific sector and reliance on qualitative data. Future research could explore comparative studies across industries, integrate quantitative methods, and investigate the role of government policies in fostering SME innovation. Overall, this research contributes to understanding the relationship between innovation and SME performance, guiding strategies to support SMEs in Balikpapan and beyond.
