Abstract

The quality of health services is one of the key factors in determining the level of patient satisfaction, especially for National Health Insurance (JKN) participants served through the Social Security Organising Agency (BPJS). This study aims to analyse the effect of health service quality on BPJS patient satisfaction at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) of Aceh Besar Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through a questionnaire distributed to 68 respondents of BPJS patients who receive outpatient services. Service quality variables were analysed through five SERVQUAL dimensions, namely tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The results showed that the quality of service at the Aceh Besar District Hospital was in the Good category at 73.5% and Not Good at 26.5%. Meanwhile, the level of patient satisfaction showed a Satisfied category of 52.9% and Unsatisfied of 47.1%. Further analysis with linear regression showed that all dimensions of service quality had a positive effect on patient satisfaction, with the empathy and assurance dimensions contributing the most. These findings emphasise the importance of improving the quality of interactions and trust in health services for BPJS participants. This study recommends that RSUD Aceh Besar continue to improve service quality, especially in the aspects of communication and personal attention to patients

Abstract

Nausea and vomiting are common symptoms in the first trimester of pregnancy. The hormones estrogen and progesterone cause excessive stomach acid production, causing nausea and vomiting, especially in the morning, known as morning sickness. Psychologically, nausea and vomiting during pregnancy affect 80% of pregnant women, resulting in a decreased appetite. In this condition, mothers must continue to eat to ensure the fetus's growth and development. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and access to information in the use of complementary therapies to reduce nausea and vomiting in first-trimester pregnant women. This study was conducted from February 3 to June 20, 2024. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The type of research used was a cross-sectional analysis approach. The population in this study were first-trimester pregnant women with a sample of 18 respondents using the accidental sampling method. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods using the chi-square statistical test. The results showed that most respondents had good knowledge (38.8%) and good access to information (55.6%). The results of the Chi-Square test showed a significant relationship between knowledge and the use of ginger tea (p-value 0.001), and a significant relationship between access to information and the use of ginger tea (p-value 0.002). It is hoped that health workers will continue to play an active role in introducing complementary therapies to reduce nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in the first trimester by providing accurate information so that they can apply them safely and effectively, and the need for anti-nausea medication can be minimized.

Abstract

A birth ball is a simple physical therapy or exercise that uses a ball, applied to pregnant women, women in labor, and postpartum women. The benefits of using a birth ball are to increase blood flow to the uterus, placenta, and baby, relieve pressure, and provide comfort to the knees and ankles, as well as provide counter-pressure to the perineum and thighs. This position works with gravity to encourage the baby to descend into the pelvic floor, thereby accelerating the labor process. In addition, using a birth ball can help optimize the baby's position during pregnancy and childbirth, balance the body on the ball to help strengthen the back, and help align the baby in preparation for birth. Objective: To determine the effect of birth ball exercise as a method of reducing pain in mothers in stage 1 of labor at the TPMB Y Health Center in West Cikarang District. Research Method: This study used a pre-experimental design with a pre-test-post-test design. The population consisted of 18 people, and the sample size was 18 respondents who met the inclusion criteria, namely physiologically healthy primiparous and multiparous women in labor at TPMB Y, West Cikarang District, from January to February 2024, without a control group. The data collection process involved filling out pretest and posttest observation sheets for respondents and standard operating procedure (SOP) sheets for the provision of birth ball techniques. Results: Based on the Paired T-Test using SPSS, a P-Value of 0.001 (<0.05) was obtained, so it can be concluded that H1 is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of the birth ball technique on the pain scale in mothers in stage I labor at TPMB Y, West Cikarang District. Conclusion: There is an effect of birth ball exercise on the pain scale in women in the first stage of labor at TPMB Y, Cikarang Barat District.

Abstract

Recurrent stroke is one of the major challenges in patient care, affecting not only the patient’s physical condition but also the psychological well-being of their family. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the frequency of stroke attacks and the anxiety levels of stroke survivor families. This research employs a quantitative descriptive correlational design with a sample of 69 stroke survivor family members selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire on stroke attack frequency and the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS), and analyzed using the Spearman rank test. The results indicate a significant relationship between the frequency of recurrent strokes and family anxiety levels, with a p-value < 0.001 and a correlation coefficient of 0.706, suggesting a strong positive correlation. The more frequent the stroke attacks, the higher the level of anxiety experienced by the patient’s family. Data analysis shows that the majority of families with patients experiencing their first stroke reported mild anxiety (69.6%), while those facing recurrent strokes tended to experience higher levels of anxiety. Increased anxiety is influenced by uncertainty regarding the patient's condition, financial burden, and emotional demands of caregiving. Based on these findings, it is recommended that healthcare professionals provide education on preventing recurrent strokes and stress management strategies for stroke survivor families to help reduce anxiety and improve their quality of life.

Patient dissatisfaction can be caused by various things, including inefficient time, poor product or service quality, service quality, prices or costs that do not meet patient expectations. Factors causing patient dissatisfaction include the quality of health services that are below standard. Service satisfaction standards are set nationally according to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2016 concerning Minimum Service Standards for patient satisfaction, namely above 95%. The aim of this research is to identify and analyze the relationship between the quality of health services and patient satisfaction at the South Banjarbaru Community Health Center. This research method is quantitative research with a cross sectional design approach. The population in this study was an average of 1398 patients seeking treatment at Puskesmas Banjarbaru Selatan  2022. The sampling method was 94 respondents using accidental sampling and tested using Chi-Square analysis. Univariate results of patient satisfaction 89.4% satisfied, reliability 84.0% good, responsiveness 92.6% good, assurance 90.4% good, empathy 97.9% good and tangible 88.3% good. The results of this analysis bivariat show that between 5 dimensions of health service quality with patient satisfaction at Puskesmas Banjarbaru Selatan, namely reliability (p-value = 0.000) OR (95% CI) = 22.167 (4.770-103.009), responsiveness (p-value 0.025) OR (95% CI) = 8.571 (1.590-46.199), empathy (p-value=0.010) OR (95% CI) =0,887 (0,043-0,169), tangible (p-value 0.015) OR (95% CI)=7.333 (1.664-32.312) there is a relationship with patient satisfaction at Puskesmas Banjarbaru Selatan, while assurance (p-value=0.052) OR (95% CI) =5.571 (1.140-27.241) has no relationship to patient satisfaction. It is hoped that the community health center can increase the response speed of services, improve facilities and infrastructure so that public complaints can be minimized and the E-puskesmas system can be utilized optimally
