Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effect of using mind mapping learning accompanied by classical music on chemistry learning outcomes on hydrocarbon compound material in class X students at Public High School 2 North Bengkulu. Methodology: This research uses an experimental method with a t-test research design, where class X-3 is the control group that follows conventional learning, and class. Data collection instruments consist of pre-test and post-test questions. The analysis used data about learning outcomes using analysis descriptive and inferential. Main Findings: The results of descriptive analysis show that the experimental class that used mind mapping accompanied by classical music had higher learning outcomes compared to the control class that followed conventional learning. The results of inferential analysis using the homogeneity test and normality test stated that the research hypothesis was accepted, indicating that there were significant differences in student learning outcomes between the two groups. The use of mind mapping learning accompanied by classical music can significantly improve student learning outcomes in hydrocarbon compound material compared to conventional learning. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research is to determine the effectiveness of applying the mind mapping learning model accompanied by classical music to improve chemistry learning outcomes on hydrocarbon compound material.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to describe increasing students' learning motivation using the inquiry method in chemistry subjects in Class X of Public High School 6 South Bengkulu. Methodology: In this research, the subjects were class X C students at Public High School 6 South Bengkulu, totaling 41 students. The object of this research is the application of inquiry methods in learning. The type of data obtained from this research is qualitative data. This data was collected using observation and documentation techniques. The data collection tools used were tests, observation sheets of teacher and student activities. Description The action research procedure was carried out in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Indicators of success are shown by the fulfillment of predetermined motivation indicators. Main Findings: In cycle I, indicator achievement was only 16.67%, while in cycle II achievement was 100% of the indicators set by the author and based on the targets set by the author. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that using inquiry strategies can increase students' learning motivation in class. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research is to determine the effectiveness of increasing student learning motivation by using the inquiry method in chemistry lessons.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to find out whether the application of learning techniques for sending greetings and questions can achieve complete chemistry learning on chemical bonding material. Methodology: The instruments used in this research are tests, observation and documentation. Tests are carried out to determine student learning outcomes. Observations are carried out to determine the development of teachers and students in the ongoing learning process. Meanwhile, documentation is carried out to obtain school data, teacher data and also student data. Main Findings: Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that student learning completeness (classical) before the action was 42.5%, cycle I 47.5%, cycle II 72.5%, cycle III 87.5%, which increased with each meeting. , so it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning techniques of sending greetings and questions can achieve complete student learning. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research is to determine the effectiveness of applying cooperative learning techniques for sending greetings and questions to achieve complete chemistry learning in chemical bonding material.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The aim of this research is to improve the chemistry learning outcomes of class X students at Public High School 5 Bandar Lampung through the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) cooperative learning model. Methodology: The subjects in this research were 18 class X Public High School 5 Bandar Lampung students. Meanwhile, the object of this research is the application of the Cooperative type cooperative learning model Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) to improve chemistry learning outcomes for class X Public High School 5 Bandar Lampung. Main Findings: Based on research results, the application of cooperative learning strategies of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and type Composition (CIRC) in the learning process in class X Public High School 5 Bandar Lampung improves student learning outcomes. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research is to determine the effectiveness of implementing the cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) type cooperative learning model to improve chemistry learning outcomes. In addition, this research also contributes to the educational literature by presenting empirical data regarding the effectiveness of CIRC in improving understanding and retention of chemistry material.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to determine whether there is an increase in the chemistry learning motivation of class X3 students at Public High School 11 South Sumatra, through the use of handouts in the form of picture stories. Methodology: The instruments used in this research are observation and documentation. Observations are carried out to determine the development of teachers and students in the ongoing learning process. Meanwhile, documentation is carried out to obtain school data, teacher data and also student data. Main Findings: Based on the results of data analysis, the percentage of student motivation before action was 49.4%, cycle I 53.8%, cycle II 60.9%, and cycle III 76.4%, which increased with each meeting, so it can It was concluded that the use of handouts in the form of illustrated stories could increase students' learning motivation. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research is to determine the effectiveness of using handouts in the form of illustrated stories to increase students' learning motivation on the subject of chemical bonds.
