Abstract

Scouting extracurricular activities have an important role in shaping leadership attitudes through the development of students' emotional intelligence. This study aims to determine the effect of Scouting extracurricular activities in shaping leadership attitudes through emotional intelligence. This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The data used in this study are quantitative data obtained from primary data with a questionnaire data collection technique given to research respondents. The population of this study were students of SMA Negeri 1 Sei Suka who participated in extracurricular activities at the school while the sample used were students who participated in scouting extracurricular activities, which were 56 people. The data processing technique used in this study was PLS (Partial Least Square) with the help of SmartPLS software. The results of the study showed that scouting extracurricular activities had a positive and significant effect on leadership attitudes, scouting extracurricular activities had a positive and significant effect on emotional intelligence, emotional intelligence had a positive and significant effect on leadership attitudes, and scouting extracurricular activities had a positive and significant effect on leadership attitudes through emotional intelligence.

Abstract

In running a micro, small and medium enterprise, good management elements are needed, one of which is financial management which plays a very important role in managing a business and is evidence of fund development in the modern era today. Catfish farming, which is one of the MSMEs, has become one of the main businesses of the Kuta Baru Village community, Tebing Tinggi District, Serdang Bedagai. However, there are still many catfish farmers who experience obstacles in managing their business, especially in managing their financial management. The role of the Campus through Student KKN activities tries to help solve the problems in the Kuta Baru Village community. In this activity, catfish farmers are given guidance and assistance on how to make basic financial reports such as cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets, as well as strategies for managing production costs, maximizing profits, and long-term financial planning. The Maqasid Syariah aspects are also applied as an effort to realize community welfare through catfish farming which has a positive impact on entrepreneurs and their families as well as the surrounding community.

Abstract

This study explores the English literacy challenges faced by 12th-grade students in Indonesia as they prepare for the UTBK 2025, focusing on reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar. Using a qualitative research approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and classroom observations from a purposively selected sample of 20-30 students. Thematic analysis revealed that the primary challenges students face include difficulties with complex academic texts, limited vocabulary knowledge, and grammatical errors, all of which hinder their performance in the English section of the UTBK. The study further investigates the factors influencing students’ English literacy preparation, such as the quality of educational support, access to external resources (e.g., online learning platforms, tutoring), and peer support. Results indicate that students attending well-resourced schools and those utilizing additional learning resources felt more prepared. Peer learning also played a key role in overcoming literacy challenges. Moreover, students employed various coping strategies, including active reading, vocabulary-building techniques, and practice tests, to improve their skills. This study provides valuable insights for educators and policymakers seeking to improve English literacy preparation for high-stakes exams like the UTBK.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of the Merdeka Curriculum with constructivism theory in the learning of Islamic Religious Education for class X at SMA Negeri 1 Tebing Syahbandar. The Independent Curriculum, which is designed to provide flexibility for teachers and students, is implemented with a constructivist approach that emphasizes the active role of students in constructing their own knowledge. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the research show that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Islamic Education subjects has gone well, marked by teachers understanding what is done in implementing the independent curriculum and students playing an active role in Islamic Education learning using constructivism theory in the independent curriculum. The teacher plays the role of a facilitator who helps students in the knowledge construction process. Learning evaluation is carried out through three types of assessments, namely diagnostic, formative and summative assessments, which are used to measure student understanding and skills. The conclusion of this research is that the Merdeka Curriculum with a constructivist approach is effective in increasing student involvement, promoting deeper understanding of the material, and building critical, creative and independent character.

Abstract

Plagiarism is an act intentionally or unintentionally in obtaining or trying to obtain credit or value for a scientific work, by quoting part or all of another party's scientific works and/or works that are recognized as scientific works, without stating the source accurately and adequately. In practice, although some have received sanctions, however, there is no uniformity in determining plagiarism, so each university has its own policy. The problem in this research is how is law enforcement against plagiarism of scientific work as an effort to prevent and deal with plagiarism in universities? The research method used is normative juridical. The results of the research show that law enforcement against plagiarism of scientific work as an effort to prevent and deal with plagiarism in tertiary institutions has not been implemented properly. This is due to multiple interpretations of Article 10 paragraph (3) of the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Number 39 of 2021 concerning Academic Integrity in Producing Scientific Work, due to the indecisiveness of the phrase "partially", thus making universities in Indonesia ultimately has its own policy related to scientific writing that can be categorized as plagiarism.

Abstract

As a source of regional income, UMKM also play a role in reducing unemployment. Tofu making is a small business engaged in manufacturing that produces every day. To produce tofu. The raw materials needed are often scarce and experience price fluctuations. In addition to the problem of raw materials, UMKM UD Marmi which produces tofu also experiences problems in calculating production costs which are only based on estimates. The method used in this student collaborative activity seeks to help solve the problems that exist at UD Marmi in Kampung Dalam, Bajenis District, Tebing Tinggi City, engaged in the tofu factory industry. After conducting a survey and direct interviews with business owners and their workers. The input given is how to overcome the scarcity of raw material supplies and apply the calculation of production costs based on the Full Costing method, so that it is appropriate in determining the selling price of the tofu they produce.

Abstract

Budgeting and oversight are essential for ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of non-profit organizations (NGOs). This process includes thorough financial planning, strategic resource allocation, and careful monitoring to guarantee that funds are used to support the organization’s mission. In the budgeting process, the involvement of various stakeholders—such as the board of directors, executive directors, financial managers, and program heads—is crucial for creating a realistic budget that meets the organization’s needs. Additionally, effective budget oversight is vital for ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency, which are core values in NGO management. A practical approach to budgeting involves identifying strategic priorities, projecting revenues, and evaluating expenditures in relation to the organization’s programs and operations. Good budget oversight includes monitoring progress, analyzing the discrepancies between planned and actual results, and implementing corrective measures when necessary. With effective budget management, NGOs can enhance their credibility in the eyes of donors, ensure the smooth implementation of programs, and reduce financial risks that could impede the achievement of their goals. This study highlights the significance of a transparent and accountable budgeting and oversight system in promoting the sustainability and effectiveness of NGOs. In conclusion, an integrated and data-driven approach to budget preparation and monitoring strengthens financial governance and enhances the social impact of the programs implemented.
