Abstract

The research titled the Inluence and haw to plant shallot (Allium ascalonium L.) on the result was conducted on March to October 2016 in BP3K Girimulyo, Girimulyo Kulon Progo with height of 250 m on soil type vertisol. The research used randomized block design arranged in factorial consisting two treatment factors with three replications. The irst factor (P) consists of 2 levels, P0=without cutting, P1= cutting 1/3 of tuber. The second factor of how to plant shallot consist of 4 levels, (S1)=spacing 20 X 20 cm population 177.778 clumps per hectar, (S2)= planting jajar lewogo 2:1 spacing 20 X 20 cm population 271.111 clumps per hectar, (S3) spacing 20 X 15 cm population 231.111 clumps per hectar, (S4)= planting jajar lewogo 2:1 spacing 20 X 15 cm population 351.111 clumps per hectar. The result showed there is interaction of second treatment to parameter of wet bulb weight per clumps highest (71.26 gram), parameter diameter of dry tuber treatment P1S1, P2S1 highest (19.65 mm, 19.95 mm). Conclusions of this study are: 1. On how to plant, cutting 1/3 of tuber tip gives good result to most of observation parameters; 2. The Tajarwo 2:1 system is better than the conventional system (non tajarwo) to shallot yield per plot of size 4,6 m2 parameter; 3. the Conventional system can increase the diameter of the shallot bulbs.

Abstract

Food security is a trending topic and is a global problem that is interesting to continue to be discussed. The problem of food security cannot be separated from the three (3) main aspects, namely the aspect of production, distribution and consumption. One of the empowerment program of food security that is being done is the strengthening of the Public Food Distribution Institution Program or commonly abbreviated LDPM. The program provides grant assistance in the form of social capital (social assistance) to the combined group of farmer beneficiaries remedy used as venture capital to business units owned. The success of the program needs to be institutionalized norms or rules that exist in the program LDPM the combined members of farmer groups in order to target the norms or rules become part of the lifestyle people of Malang district. This study aims to determine how the institutionalization LDPM members of farmer groups at the transmitter and how farmers understand. The study was conducted using qualitative descriptive approach and conducting depth inter views and observations to the informants as many as 30 people. Based on their search conducted is known that the members of the Joint LDPM transmitter farmer groups have not been fully institutionalized because the norms that emphasized not fully accepted by members of the community because in line with the local wisdom that is in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse internal and external factors into strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and formulate an alternative strategy development of Agricultural extension information through Simluhtan Program in Sleman District. The research method is qualitative method with deep description strategy. The research location was UPT BP3K (Agricultural Extension Offices at Sub-District Level) in Sleman. Location determination was selected purposively, and data collection is done by deep interview, literature, and documentation. The results show the strength of the Simluhtan program is its online presence, availability of fast and accurate related facilities and administrator, while the weakness is the remote BP3K location, lack of administrator and officers on duty, lack of data update as well as coordination. Opportunities that can be utilized for the sustainability of the program is the accessible data online, the existence of government policy in institutional development of Agricultural Extension towards Sleman Smart City, easier and more efficient information technology, the need for data accuracy, while the threats are the existence of hackers, lack of coordination in the shift of the system from the central government, as well as decrease in numbers of extension officers as the main actors. Strategies that can be proposed is related to human resources development in terms of information technology, extension institutional development and the extension officers ability in implementing the programs, and development of support facilities connected to the Internet.

Abstract

The research aims to know treatment combination influence of media composition, media thickness, and paddy seeds density on the result of planting seen from the seed amount per hole, plant depth and level of clumsiness with indojarwo trans planter 2: 1. This research was conducted in Celeban, Agricultural Extension College, Yogyakarta. This research was performed from October 30, 2016 to November 17, 2016. The research method arranged in base pattern Randomized Complete Block Design, consisting 3 factors. The first factor is the composition on media (P), consists of 3 level types, soil 1,5: compost 0,5 (P1), soil 1: compost 1 (P2), soil 0,5: compost 1,5 (P3). The second factor is the thickness of media (M), consists of 3 types, media 1 cm and cover 0,5 cm (MI), media 1,5 cm and cover 0,5 cm (M2), media 2cm and cover 0,5cm (M3). The third factor is the density of paddy seeds (K) consists of 3 types, 60 g/ dapog (KI), 70 g/ dapog (K2) and 80 g/dapog (K3). Each combination receives 2 times treatment, total 54 units of treatment. Statistical analysis was conducted to determine the influence difference between treatment with diverse examination 5% and 1 % and to know the real difference between treatments with 5 % DMR test. The result of the research combination treatment of comparison/ composition seedlings media (P), media seedlings thickness (M), and seed density (K) had no significant effect on the average number of seeds per hole, the average plant dept, and average of seed stands on rice plant. The combination of the treatment of comparison/ composition seedlings (P), the thickness of seedlings (M), and seed density (K) that showed the best result of planting with trans planter parameter number seed/ hole that is combination of P1M2K2, plant dept parameter that is combination P3M2K3, and seed stands parameter on rice plant combination is P3M2K3. Number of seed/holes, depth of planting, and the seed stand of rice plant with trans planter planting, influenced by other factors, its land preparation factor.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to design a model of synergistic partnership in cluster development of potato agribusiness in an effort to increase revenue and bargaining position of farmers in Aceh Province. System dynamics methodology was applied, a modelling approach based on systemic thinking and a perspective based on feedback information as well as delays to understand the complex dynamic behaviour of physical, biological, and social systems on the agribusiness cluster of potato. Potato production centres in Aceh Province, namely Central Aceh and Bener Meriah, were chosen to be the working area of the study. Identification of the need for synergistic partnership model done through literature and interviews with experts from stakeholders, namely practitioners and policy makers involved in the procedure of input supply, production, and marketing of potato output. Data collected consisted of primary and secondary data. The primary data obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with respondents, as well as the activity of Focus Group Discussion, while secondary data obtained through the study of literature from various sources of literature, books, scientific journals, and a variety of publications related to this research. Formulation of the models was conducted by using Vensim DSS Software, followed by simulation. The result of this study indicated the role of three major scenarios which were important to design a model of synergistic partnership in cluster development of potato agribusiness in Aceh Province, those were: (1) the scenario of shortening the payment receivables interval of farmers and cooperatives, which showing the increasing of cash amount, (2) the scenario of designing model of synergistic partnership through the addition of loan funds and the elimination of receivables structure, resulting in the increasing number of revenues, profits, R/C, and cash, (3) the scenario of doing certification to the potato from synergistic partnerships farmers, showing the increasing of acceptance, profitability, R/C, and cash. To design a model of synergistic partnership in cluster development of potato agribusiness is a model of innovation and institutional management, which can accelerate the development of potato commodity, increase revenue and bargaining position of farmers, as well as accelerating economic growth in the region.

Abstract

Corn is second search of food after rice which is found higher protein content and available with affordable price. The aims of this research are to determine differences in quality sensory kremus cookies with the use of varieties of Bisi-2 and Srikandi Putih in terms of colour, flavour, taste and texture indicator; and the preference level panellists to kremus cookies. Research method with comparative study of the use of corn flour varieties Bisi 2 and Srikandi Putih. Data analysis with t-test to know difference of kremus cookies quality of corn flour and descriptive percentage is used for preference test that is know the level of preference to product kremus corn flour. The results of research on the use of corn flour varieties Srikandi Putih and Bisi-2 there is a real difference in the flavour indicator. Sample of the best corn flour kremus cookies of corn flour bisi 2 varieties showed the highest mean value of 3,51 with colour indicator 4,08; flavour 2,97; taste 3,61 and texture 3,39. In the preference test, the panellist liked of kremus cookies of varieties of Bisi-2 corn flour with the colour indicator showing an average value of 4,11 (82,22%) likes criteria, flavour average value 3,56 (71,11%) likes criteria, taste average value of 3,94 (78,89%) likes criteria, texture average value 3,78 (76%) likes criteria.
