Journal of ICT, Design, Engineering and Technological Science (JITDETS) focuses on the logical ramifications of advances in information and communications technology. It is expected for all sorts of experts, be it scientists, academicians, industry, government or strategy producers. It, along these lines, gives an exceptional discussion to papers covering application-based research subjects significant to assembling procedures, machines, and process reconciliation. JITDETS maintains the high standard of excellence of publishing. This is guaranteed by subjecting each paper to a strict evaluation strategy by individuals from the universal publication counseling board. The goal is solid to set up that papers submitted do meet all the requirements, particularly with regards to demonstrated application-based research work. It is not satisfactory that papers have a hypothetical substance alone; papers must exhibit producing applications.

Abstract

This research is motivated by observations and experiences of the researchers that a motorcyclist wants comfort while driving, but on a motorcycle, there can be many factors that cause problems. For example, experiencing a lack of air pressure on tyres (deflated) or a flat tyre becomes a serious problem when driving on a quiet road so that the driver feels disturbed. It is necessary to make a tool that can be used to pump tyres easily and efficiently. In making and designing tools, product specification design methods were used, ranging from task translation to detailed design. The Product Design Specification (PDS) method focuses on the criteria for being achieved in ideas and concepts. The value of pressure from the theoretical calculation is different from the calculation of the tool; the results of the theoretical calculation of the tool obtained air pressure of 38.8 Psi, while the tool testing can directly reach a pressure of 30 Psi. Although figure 30 Psi has been able to fill the front and rear tyres of a motorcycle, the difference in numbers is certainly caused by observable factors. With a variety of factors that affect the performance of the tool but still can meet enough criteria to be able to pump motorcycle tyres and also the design of this tool is made for use in emergency conditions, so that when a motorcycle experiences a flat tyre and the condition is not in the immediate vicinity with a tyre pump workshop, the tool can be used.

Abstract

The study objectives are to analyze BIM application in the project practice and evaluate different implementation influence during the construction period. Building Information Modelling (BIM) combines various building information data in the model. It has a series of characteristics of visualization, coordination, simulation, optimization, and others. For the whole life cycle of building, BIM has prominent advantages in project management and operation management. The main research method is the case study for this paper. The case Forest City project reported BIM application on a typical high-rise condominium project in Malaysia. Two precast residential buildings executed the BIM tool for construction management. The participants tried to use the entire construction process simulation. They intend to obtain the best management method to improve their work efficiency and reduce project cost. From the Forest City project case study, the designers and engineers provided various precast components 3D presentation. It reduced rework through BIM clash detection. Main-con QS took off this project quantity accurately through the BIM platform. BIM technology helped relevant participants to improve work efficiency. The research implications are displayed a useful technology for precast construction management, such as BIM 3D/4D/5D functions.

Abstract

KIT Physics Navigation, a self-adaptive e-learning website of physics covering study contents for high school and university students, was published on the web in March 2016. It was built on the concept that “one web page should contain one topic”. For the first time, the access log analysis was performed on this website by examining how visitors browsed the webpages and deepened their understandings. It is noted that this analysis was carried out by using only the access logs acquired from the visitors who had browsed a webpage entitled “Uniformly accelerated linear motion” at least one time to extract the browsing path of the visitors who had an interest in the topic of the webpage. As a result, it was found that most of the visitors deepened their understandings of physics in stages by browsing from the web pages about fundamental topics to those about advanced topics. Furthermore, cluster analysis, which is widely known as the unsupervised learning method of machine learning, was performed on this website. Here, Ward’s Method was applied, and the variables were the number of visits and the visit duration. The result showed that the web pages about the following topics, “Derivation of uniformly accelerated linear motion from graph” and “Derivation of uniformly accelerated linear motion by using integration”, was classified as the group which had a large number of visits and long visit duration by the dendrogram. In the future, the websites need further improvements based on the results of these analyses.

Abstract

This study proposes the development of an IoT application with computation, analysis, display, and notification mechanisms based on GPS, BLE, mobile communications, and SMS technology on iOS and Android smartphone operating systems. Advancements in smartphones and mobile communication technology have ushered in a generational trend of connectivity for all devices; using smartphones as a platform to manage vehicles online has become the trend. Smartphones using Bluetooth to bind vehicles and then send out GPS tracking information, including real-time data computation, analysis, display, and notifications, have turned IoT applications into reality. The research methods and procedure of this study are categorized into A) system structure, B) main application structure, C) QR code Bluetooth pairing, D) data processing, transfer, and retransmission mechanisms, and E) emergency incident and notification mechanisms. This study integrates QR code pairing, mo- bile notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), automatic retransmission mechanism for GPS tracking information, exception management, and emergency notification to achieve a lightweight electronic tracking and management App for implementing a Vehicle Tracking System on the smartphone. This study can be applied to all Bluetooth connected IoT applications; the principle is using smartphones and Bluetooth connectivity to connect items that cannot connect to networks.
