Abstract

The development of information technology encourages workshop businesses to adopt digital solutions to improve customer service. However, many workshop websites are built without comprehensively considering User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) aspects, causing navigation difficulties and decreased customer satisfaction. This research aims to design the UI/UX of the 21 Motoshop Workshop website using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method to create an effective and user-friendly digital platform. The UCD method was applied through four stages: understanding the context of use through observation and surveys of 35 respondents, determining user needs both functional and non-functional, designing solutions using UML and system implementation based on CodeIgniter 4 with MySQL, and usability evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The research results show that the system functions well functionally with main features such as mechanic data management, products, transactions, and online booking. SUS testing resulted in an average score of 84.25 which falls into the "Excellent" category with grade B, proving that the UCD approach successfully created a website that meets user needs, is easy to use, and improves overall workshop service quality.

Abstract

The digital era and globalization have brought significant changes to early childhood parenting patterns. Parents now face new challenges in the form of strong technological exposure to children's behavior and character. This study aims to analyze parenting patterns in the digital era and globalization and their implications for early childhood character development. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with interviews and documentation methods involving four parents at TK An-Nida Medan as key informants. The data were strengthened by a literature review of books and scientific journals published between 2020 and 2025. The results show that parenting patterns in the digital era have shifted from traditional patterns to digital-adaptive patterns that emphasize technological literacy, open communication, and moral supervision. Parents who implement digital-authoritative patterns show positive character development outcomes, such as discipline, responsibility, empathy, and religiosity in children. Meanwhile, digital-permissive patterns tend to weaken children's self-control and reduce social interaction. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between parents, schools, and the environment in shaping early childhood character amidst the currents of globalization and digitalization
