Abstract

Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the production of blacksmith craftsmen in the Dokdak Village has decreased. This decline occurred due to the weakness of the marketing system and the lack of public knowledge about the values of local wisdom. To empower local wisdom, especially the production of blacksmiths, community service was carried out with the aim of creating a modern marketing system and increasing public understanding. In achieving this goal, the P3 (Planning, Training, and Assistance) method was carried out, in three stages. The first stage of planning begins with a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The second stage of implementation was a survey of the community around the service locus, by meeting local community leaders. The third stage is mentoring activities on strengthening local wisdom values. The locus of service was carried out in Dokdak Village, Baregbeg Village, Baregbeg District, Ciamis Regency. Participants in the dedication activity consisted of 30 blacksmiths. The results of the training and mentoring evaluation showed that the response of the training participants regarding historical and cultural understanding increased from 42.3% to 84.6%. Then the understanding of the importance of local wisdom values also increased from 34.6% to 76.9%. Furthermore, participants had knowledge related to how to establish business partners, one of which was with local BUMDES (Village Owned Enterprises). The results of online marketing training and assistance had been successfully carried out, namely by registering a blacksmith business group in the Shopee marketplace. This training and mentoring activity was expected to be useful for participants in the Dokdak Village environment, especially in improving welfare/the economy.

Abstract

Young coconut fruit is an agricultural commodity with high economic value. The utilization of young coconuts needs to be followed up with post-harvest handling, such as preservation, packaging, and storage because young coconuts are easily damaged. Currently, young coconut consumption is starting to increase because it is widely used as a toxin neutralizer or consumed to maintain body health and fitness. The problem that occurs among young coconut ice sellers is how to deal with young coconut shell waste. Therefore, there is a need for innovation that can help young coconut ice sellers to handle waste from young coconuts and turn the coconut waste into something useful. The solution for processing young coconut waste in this community service activity is carried out by processing young coconut waste into ready-to-use organic fertilizer and planting media. In addition to overcoming the problem of young coconut waste, this activity is aimed at enabling the Women Farmers Group to be able to utilize young coconut waste to be used as organic fertilizer and planting media by applying appropriate technology to reduce the impact of environmental pollution due to the abundance of this waste. As the results of these activities, the women farmer groups have been able to utilize young coconut waste to be used as material for making organic fertilizer and planting media which were initially not of economic value by using a chopping machine, so as to reduce the impact of environmental pollution caused by the abundance of this waste.

Abstract

Indonesian local cultural heritage is a worthwhile asset to develop in the recent era. It is an important industry generating millions of jobs and billions of dollars in revenue yearly. However, despite the tremendous economic and socio-cultural benefits, little attention is usually paid to its conservation and to developing innovative big-picture strategies to conserve and promote to be globally familiar. This perspective aims to compile some of the relevant global needs to explore alternative ways to conserve steps associated with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. From this perspective, it is conceptualized how emerging artificial intelligence (AI) and digital socio-technological models of conservation based on local culture “Batik Eco-print” through digital storytelling can represent an alternative transformative solution by going beyond the current global communication and technical limitations in the heritage conservation community, while also providing digital promotion to conservation practitioners, which can truly help the conservation process as the way promote local culture to be globally acknowledged. This article employed a qualitative research approach implementing a descriptive with a deductive research design. One of the results showed that social workers use digital media technologies that reflected the consistency of the social workers with the literature on social media engagement more generally. Another result showed that participants believed that their understanding of digital technology and digital storytelling was potential in reducing communication barriers in professional contexts.

Abstract

This community service is intended to provide solutions to the problems experienced by a partner named UMKM Usaha Laksana Mandiri (MSMEs Usaha Laksana Mandiri), namely the low marketing literacy of trade. In implementing the objectives of this community service, an instructional method is adopted which has three stages of implementation, namely 1) socialization of the use of online sales media, 2) training in making designs and packaging goods, and 3) training in inputting data on goods to be sold in the admin menu. After going through several stages, there are several positive results from the implementation of this community service, including 1) understanding the use of online marketing information technology, 2) attractive product packaging strategies, and 3) sales skills through online marketing media by UMKM Usaha Laksana Mandiri.

Abstract

Internet use is currently growing rapidly in many aspects of life; education, economy, social life, politics and culture. The needs and rapid developments in the use of the Internet network require a balance provision of Internet connection. In fact, connectivity is not always run smoothly because of low bandwidth capacity and network traffic increases. These problems cause network connection interrupted and data lose. Load balancing system is one of the solutions to get a better quality of internet service. Using more than one different ISP (Internet Service Provider) which is then balanced with load balancing system, can make the traffic run optimally, maximize throughput, minimize response time and avoid overload on any of the connection lines. This system worked by distributing the traffic load on two or more connection lines in a balanced way so that traffic can run optimally. By using load balancing system, when the internet is interrupted, then there will be a backup. This study focuses on implementing backups from Internet network sources or backups from dependency on one Internet service provider. The method used in this study is a case study. The instrument used is an observation at the Benteng Village Office in Ciamis. The process started by selecting the right ISP source to be used as a backup. Then continued with the Mikrotik installation and the application of load balancing in Mikrotik. The next steps are testing of the load balancing system which is carried out by technical testing of the implementation. The process includes testing the speed, the function, and optimization of the load balancing. The result shows that the use of load balancing system can be applied optimally. When network traffic increases due to the distribution of balanced connection lanes, it can run without changing the existing network and makes the connection run more optimal.
