Abstract

Background: Cigarette smoke is a source of free radicals. If inhaled, its activity can damage the structure of erythrocyte membrane function which affects the decrease in hemoglobin and hematocrit. The influence of free radicals can be suppressed through the administration of antioxidants. Dragon tail leaves contain phenolic compounds in the form of polyphenols which are antioxidants. Objective: To determine the effect of administration of dragon tail leaf extract (rhapidhophora pinnata schott) with multilevel doses on hemoglobin levels and hematocrit of blood of mice exposed by cigarette smoke. Method: The method used was an experimental method with a Post Test Control research design. The Design Group used the Mus Musculus Bablc albino male which was divided into 4 groups. The control group, P1 at a dose of 50mg / kgBB, P2 at a dose of 100mg / kgBB, P3 at a dose of 150mg / kgBB with 1 cigarette / day for 14 days. This research was conducted on May 22-June 5, 2019 in the Anatomy Fisiology Stikes Piala Sakti Pariaman. Results: The results of data analysis using one way ANOVA revealed that the administration of dragon tail leaf extract dose had a significant effect between hemoglobin and hematocrit levels with a P-value of 0,000. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the antioxidant content of flavonoids found in leaves (Rhapidhophora Pinnata Schott) can increase hemoglobin and hematocrit levels. And it is necessary to do further testing on humans as an effort to test the safety of doses

Abstract

Based on reports from the World Health Organization (WHO), the prevalence of anemia in the world is still quite high with an incidence rate of 2.3 billion, in Asia it is known that the prevalence of anemia is still very high, it is known that 85% of anemia sufferers are women and children, about 50% of these events are iron deficiency anemia. This research uses descriptive analytic method using a cross sectional approach to see the relationship of events at one time. The study was conducted in March 2018 at the Pariaman city gas station. The sample was taken using a total sampling method with a total sample of 15 Jati gas station operators with night shift work. The data collection method begins with observing and interviewing the operator to get operator schedule data. Afterwards, each operator who is on a night shift is examined by taking a sample of peripheral blood through the fingertips. The blood obtained was analyzed using the Neubeur technique to see the number of red blood cells, while for Hb levels using the EasyTouch GCHb tool. From the results of the above table, it is known that the p value (0.00) shows that the time of night work has an influence on hemoglobin levels and the number of red blood cells in the Pariaman gas station. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the time of night work on hemoglobin levels and the number of red blood cells at the jati gas station night shift operator.

Abstract

Soursop leaf (Annona muricata L.) is a plant that is often used as medicine of the community. Soursop leaves contain saponin compounds. Saponins are known to be spermiosides which can affect the process of spermatogenesis which causes a decrease in the number of spermatozoa. Right Diagnosis from Healthgrades 2015 shows the prevalence of South Asian men infertility that Vietnam as the first with a total of 1,853,834 people, then Indonesian 1,753,330 people, and the Philippines in the third with the number 643,130 people. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of graded soursop leaf extract saponins on the number of spermatozoa of male albino mice (Mus Muculus Balb/c). This study uses an a Post Test Control Group Design research design using experimental animals male albino mice (Mus musculus babl/c). Divided into 4 groups, the control group was P1 at a dose of 14mg / KgBB, P2 at 28mg / KgBB, and P3 at 56mg / KgBB. This research was conducted in 21 May-05 June 2019 in the anatomy laboratory of STIKes Piala Sakti Pariaman. The sampling technique uses Purpose Sampling technique with a sample of 24 mice. One Way Anova test results showed the effect of soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata L.) on the decrease in the number of spermatozoa with a p value of 0.000 then continued with the Post Hock LSD test to find out significant differences between groups. The results showed that soursop leaf extract can reduce the number of spermatozoa of mice with the value of the control group 7.63±0.05, P1 7.43±0.05, P2 7.26±0.05, P3 7.13±0.05. Need to do further testing on humans as an effort to test the safety of doses.

Abstract

KEK merupakan salah satu keadaan malnutrisi, malnutrisi adalah keadaan patologis akibat rendahnya konsumsi energi dalam makanan sehari-hari sehingga tidak memenuhi angka kecukupan gizi. di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman tahun 2016 masih tingginya jumlah ibu hamil yang menderita KEK yaitu sebanyak 659 orang, dan wilayah kerja puskesmas pauh kambar merupakan 3 terbanyak. Faktor yang mempengaruhinya jumlah asupan gizi dan status ekonomi ibu. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Hubungan Jumlah Asupan Gizi Dan Status Ekonomi Dengan Kejadian KEK Pada Ibu Hamil Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Pauh Kambar Tahun 2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Desain penelitian survey analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Total Sampling yaitu semua ibu hamil yang menderita KEK. Data di olah secara komputerisasi menggunakan uji statistic chi-square. Penelitian dilakukan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Pauh Kambar Pada 12-18 Oktober Tahun 2017. Hasil penelitian yang di dapat dari 34 responden terdapat lebih dari separuh 23(67,6%) responden Jumlah Asupan Gizi tidak terpenuhi, lebih dari separuh 21 (61,8%) responden status ekonomi rendah. Lebih dari separuh 24 (70,6%) responden yang tergolong gizi kurang. Setelah dilakukan uji statistic ada hubungan jumlah asupan gizi dengan kejadian KEK pada ibu hamil di dapat P value = 0,009 dan ada hubungan status ekonomi dengan kejadian KEK pada ibu hamil di dapat Pvalue = 0,004. Dari hasil penelitian di simpulkan ada hubungan jumlah asupan gizi dan status ekonomi dengan kejadian KEK pada ibu hamil. Diharapkan Pada petugas kesehatan untuk selalu memberikan penyuluhan tentang pentingnya memenuhi nutrisi saat hamil, serta dapat memberikan PMT (Pemberian Makanan Tambahan) pada ibu hamil yang mengalami Kekurangan Energi Kronik (KEK).

Abstract

Injury is a discontinuity of a tissue, it is known that the incidence of injury has a prevalence reaching millions of cases / year. Some nutritional components become important factors in the wound healing process including protein and collagen. Protein acts as a regeneration of damaged body tissue. Collagen has the ability of hemostasis, interaction with platelets, interaction with fibronekin, increasing cellular components. Protein sources that researchers take are eels (Monopterus Albus). This study aims to determine the effect of giving eel flour (Monopterus Albus) to the wound healing process in male albino rats (Rattus Norvegicus) which were injured.This study used an experimental method with a Post Test Control Group Design design using experimental animals namely male albino rats (Rattus Norvegicus) divided into 4 groups. The control group without giving eel flour, P1 at a dose of 50 mg, P2 at a dose of 100 mg, and P3 at a dose of 200 mg.From the One Way ANOVA test there was an effect of giving eel flour (Monopterus Albus) to the wound healing process with a p-value of 0,000. Then proceed with the LSD test to find out the significance between groups namely control with P1, control with P2, control with P3, P1 with P2, P1 with P3 and P2 with P3 with p-value 0,000. The mean of wound healing in all groups is control 12.33, P1 9.50, P2 7.67, and P3 5.67.Based on the research results obtained it can be concluded that the content of eel flour (Monopterus Albus) namely protein and collagen can accelerate the wound healing process and the higher the dose of eel flour is given, the faster the wound healing process.Further testing on humans is needed as an effort in the process of wound healing.
