ABSTRACT - This research aims to find out : (1) the effect of the implementation of active learning strategy; Active Knowledge Sharing strategy towar student achievement in Biology at the grade of Class X at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta; (2) the effect of students?learning style toward student achievement in Biology at the grade of Class X at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta; and (3) the interaction between learning strategy and learning style simultaneously toward student achievement in Biology at the grade of Class X at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta. Learning process at school which is dominated by teacher causes student haven't got active role. The different learning styles of the students necessitate the teacher has to use varied and innovative learning strategyes that enable students to be actively involved in learning process. The use of those strategies are expected to be able of optimizing students achievement. This research belongs to Quasi experiment which use Randomized Control Only Design. The independent variables of this research are learning strategy and learning style, while the students? achievement in Biology is the dependent variable. The population of this research is all student of Class X at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta in Academic Year 2011/2012. The sample of this research are the students of class X-5 as the control group and the students of class X-4 as the experimental group that are taken by cluster random sampling. The data of the students? achievement are completed by test and observation techniques. Learning style is meansured by questionnaires. The analysis technique of this research is two away anava in different cell while the advance analysis is Bunfferoni test. From the results, it can be concluded that: : 1) Active Learning; Active Knowledge Sharing strategy has significant effect toward biology?s student achievement (cognitive, affective, and psycomotor) of Class X at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta; 2) Learning style does not have significant effect toward biology?s student achievement (cognitive, affective, and psycomotor) of Class X at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta; 3) There is an interaction between learning strategy and learning style toward biology?s student achievement (cognitive, affective, and psycomotor) of Class X at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta. ABSTRACT ? The purposes of this research were to know: 1) the influence of team quiz active learning strategy to the result of study biology; 2) the influence of student?s learning asks activity to the result of study biology; 3) the interaction between learning strategy and aska activity to the result of study biology. This research was quasi experiment research using Randomized Control Only design. Learning strategy and asks activity were independent variables and student?s achievement of study biology was the dependent variable. The population of this research was all of XI grade of natural science students of SMA Negeri 1Karangpandan. The samples of this research were the students of class XI IPA 4 as the control group and students of class XI IPA 3 as the experimental group. The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The data about the result of study biology collected by use test and observation. Asks activity meansured by using questionnaires. The analisis of this research was anava two away in different cell and the advance test used Bunfferoni test. The conclusion of this research were: 1) Team Quiz active learning strategy had significant influence to the result of study biology in pshycomotor domain but didn?t have significant influence in cognitive domain and affective on XI grade of SMA Negeri 1 Karangpandan; 2) Asks activity had significant influence to the result of study biology on XI grade of SMA Negeri 1 Karangpandan; 3) There wasn?t interaction between learning strategy and asks activity to the result of study biology on XI grade of SMA Negeri 1 Karangpandan. ABSTRACT ? The purposes of this research were to know: 1) the influence of learning strategy toward achievement biology of student?s on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo ; 2) the influence of student?s learning activity toward achievement biology of student?s on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo ; 3) the interaction between learning strategy and student?s learning activity toward achievement biology of student?s on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo and; 4) the influence of the combined effects between of learning strategy and student?s learning activity which better of student?s on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo This research was a quasi experiment research with Randomized Control Only Design. Learning strategy and student?s learning activity were independent variables and student?s achievement of study biology was the dependent variable. The population of this research was all of student?s on Xl lPA grade of SMAN 1 Sukoharjo. The samples of this research were the student?s of class Xl IPA 4 as the control class and student?s of class XI IPA 3 as the experimental class. The sample of this research was established by Cluster Random Sampling. The techniques for collecting data were had test, questionnaire, and observation. The data were analyzed by anava two away in different cell and then continued test anova with test LSD to understand treatment influence step. The conclusion of this research were: 1) the learning strategy had significant influence toward achievement biology in cognitive, affective and pshycomotor domain of student?s on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo ; 2) the student?s learning activity had significant influence toward achievement of biology in pshycomotor but didn?t have significant influence in cognitive and afective domain of student?s on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo; 3) there wasn?t interaction between learning strategy and student?s learning activity toward achievement of biologi cognitive, affective and pshycomotor domain of student?s on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo and ; 4) on the strength of continued test have been obtained results that significant influence the effect of the combination between of learning strategy and learning activity which the achievemenant biology of higher with the use of active learning Student Question Have observed from the high student?s learning activity in cognitive, affective and psychomotor domain of student?s on XI IPA grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo. ABSTRACT ? This research aims at improving the creativity of learning biological science through active learning by using mind-map method towards eleventh grade students of science 3 program (XI A3) at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak, Boyolali. This research is a Classroom Action Research which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research is the eleventh grade students of science 3 program (XI A3) at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak, Boyolali in 2010/2011 academic year. The data of this research were collected through observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The technique of data analysis uses descriptive analysis technique and the data validity was obtained by using the technique of triangulation method. The result of this research shows that the Classroom Action Research which was done through active learning by using mind-map method can give improvement towards the creativity of learning biological science towards the eleventh grade students of science 3 program (XI A3) at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak, Boyolali. It can be seen from the result of observations, questionnaires distribution, and interviews. The overall mean of percentage achievement score for each indicator based on the observation of students? creativity in the first cycle is about 76% and about 84.67% in the second cycle (with 8.67% increase). Meanwhile, the overall mean of percentage achievement score for each indicator based on questionnaires of students? creativity in the first cycle is about 77.43% and about 78.87% in the second cycle (with 1.44% increase). Based on the result, it can be concluded that the implementation of active learning by using mind-map method can improve the creativity of learning biological science towards the eleventh grade students of science 3 program (XI A3) at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak, Boyolali. ABSTRACT ? The purposes of the research is to increase students learning activities through the implementation of inquiring minds want to know learning strategy in students of X-7 Class SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta School Years 2011/ 2012. This research is a Classroom Action Research with 2 cycle of action. Each cycle consisting of 4 phases which is planning, action, observation, and reflection. Observational subject is students of X-7 Class SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta school years 2011 / 2012. Observational data obtained from the questionnaire, observation, and interview. Technical analysis of data is using descriptive qualitative. Validate data by use of triangulation techic. Result of the research to prove that with action performing through learning strategy purpose inquiring minds want to know can increase students learning activities in students of X-7 Class SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta School Years 2011/ 2012. Averagely assesses percentage each indicator of students learning activities based on questionnaire data for pre cycle was 72,62%, first cycle was 78,07% (worked up 5,45%) and second cycle was 81,36% (worked up 3,29%). Meanwhile on a percentage point each indicator of students learning activities based on observation data for pre cycle was 71,31% and first cycle was 71,40% (worked up 0,09%). Averagely assesses percentage each indicator of students learning activities based on observation data for second cycle was 79,01% (worked up 8,61%). The result of interview with student indicates that implementation of inquiring minds want to know learning strategy can increase student curiousity by search in any information source. Base that result gets to be concluded that learning strategy purpose inquiring minds want to know can increase students learning activities of X-7 Class SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta School Years 2011/ 2012. Source of data derived from teacher and student information, places and events on going learning activities, and documentation. Techniques and tools of data collection are questionnaire, observation, and interviews. Technical analysis of data is using qualitative descriptive. Data validationis use methods triangulation Result of the research showed that with action performing brazes to pass through Implementation of Active Learning with Silent Demonstration can improve science process skillsin biology learning in class VIII-DSMP Negeri 14 Surakarta academic year 2010/2011. It wasgone upon on questionnaire result, observation and interview. The average percentage each indicator of student activities based on observation for pre cycle is 36,62%, a cycle of 68,94% and 78,28% for cycle 2. The conclusions that application of Active Learning with Silent Demonstrationcan improve student science process skillsand learning outcome by improvingstudent science process skills. ABSTRACT ? This research aims was to find out the use of video as media learning toward the students achievement of the class X at SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar. This study was a quasi-experimental studies which use Randomized Control-Group Only Design. The independent variable in this research is video as media learning and the dependent variable was biology students? achievement. The population of the study was the entire students of X second semester classes SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar 2010/2011 school year. The sample of the study was the students of X.6 class as the control group and the students of X.5 class as the experiment group. The sample was taken by using Cluster Random Sampling method. The data are collected by using test for cognitive achievement and the observation methods was used to find out the learning effectivity and psychomotor domain. The technique of data analysis by using t-test. The result shows the use of video as media learning was significantly influences the students? achievement in cognitive and psychomotor aspect, but did not give effects improve the affective achievement of class X at SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar Keywords: Media, Video Learning, Learning Achievement, The Air Pollution.

ABSTRACT - This research aims to improve student motivation in biology learning with implementation of Picture and Picture in grade students in SMP N 14 Surakarta of 2011/2012 academic year. This study is a Classroom Action Research with the research design consisting of two cycles and each cycle consisting of 4 stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were grade students of SMP N 14 Surakarta of 2011/2012 academic year, that are 40 students. The data collection was conducted using questionnaire, observation and interview methods. The data analysis technique employed in this research was qualitative analysis consisting of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion or verification. The result of research showed that The means gain percent of each indicator of the students? motivation questionnaire for pre cycle was 72, 09%,, cycle I was 74,09 %and cycle II was 79,96%. The means gain percent of each indicator of the students? motivation observation for pre cycle was 50,9%, cycle I was 74,06 % and cycle II was 86,87%. According to the result above it means that applying of Picture And Picture learning method can improve students motivation was 35,97% from result of observation and 10,5 % from result of questionare on class VIII D SMP N 14 Surakarta of 2011/2012 academic year Keyword: Picture and Picture , students? motivation

ABSTRACT ? The purposes of this research were to know: 1) the influence of index card match active learning strategy to the result of study biology; 2) the influence of student?s learning motivation to the result of study biology; 3) the interaction between learning strategy and learning motivation to the result of study biology: and 4) the influence of better learning strategy to the result of study biology. Background problems in this research are biology teachers, in general, are still not implementing the strategy of active learning in delivering learning, some teachers are oriented to the achievement of the cognitive. Lack of interaction between teacher and student, and also teachers do not involve students actively in each learning activity. Students? motivation in learning Biology is low because some students take identical biological material by rote. Index Card Match is an appropriate strategy applied to high school students because these strategies involve students in active, containing elements of the game, and gives a nice effect that will facilitate and enhance motivation to learn more diligent and to obtain the optimal results of biological studies. This research is as classroom action research. The experiment was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of the planning, acting, observation, and reflection. Subjects were students of class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Tahun Pelajaran 2011/ 2012. Source of data derived from teacher and student information, places and events on going learning activities, and documentation. Techniques and tools of data collection are questionnaire, observation, and interviews. Technical analysis of data is using qualitative descriptive. Data validation is use methods triangulation Result of the research show that with action performing brazes to pass through learning strategy purpose Active Knowledge Sharing questioning participation in biology learning in class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Tahun Pelajaran 2011/ 2012. It is gone upon on questionnaire result, observation and interview. The average percentage each indicator of student activities based on observation for pre cycle is 42,30%, a cycle of 62,69% and 79,92% for cycle 2. The conclusions that application of Active Knowledge Sharing strategy can improve Questioning Participation. Key words: Active Knowledge Sharing, Questioning Participation , Biology learning.
