Abstract

This study belongs to quantitative descriptive research using statistical analysis. The population of the research is all eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Surakarta. The samples are 64 students taken by using cluster random sampling. The instruments used to collect the data were questionnaire and documentation. The previous questionnaire had been tried out to check the validity and the reliability. The techniques which were used to analyze the data were Multiple Regression Correlation, t-test, F-test, R2 test, and relative and effective contribution.The result of data analysis shows that there is a linier regression equation as follow Y = 0,219 + 0,016X1 + 0,011X2 . The equation shows that there is a positive correlation between teacher?s ability in managing class and creativity. The conclusions of the research are: 1) the perception that teacher?s ability in managing class has positive influence to the students? achievement in history is accepted. It is according to the analysis of multiple regression of F-test, which Fcount  > Ftable; 64,811 > 3,15 and the level of significance is lower than 0.05 (0.0002); 2) there is a positive correlation between creativity and students? achievement in history. It is based on multiple regression analysis (t-test) in which tcount > ttabel; 5,588 > 2,000 and the level of significance < 0,05 (0,000).It has relative contribution 40% and effective contribution 27,2%; 3) there is a positive correlation between perception of teacher?s ability in managing class and students? achievement in history. It is according to multiple regression analysis in which tcount > ttable, 7,085 > 2,000 and the value of significance is lower than  0,05,that is 0,000. It also has relative contribution 60% and 40.8% for effective distribution; 4) The coefficient determination (R2) which is 0.68 shows that the percentage of the perception of teacher?s ability in managing class towards students? achievement in history of eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Surakarta in the academic year of 2014/2015 is 68% and the rest is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Sri Wulandari. Danudirja Setiabudis Educational Thought in the Netherlands Indies at 1912-1941 and the Relevance to Historical Learning Materials at Class IX of Senior High School. Thesis, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta. Desember 2014The purpose of this study were to describe: (1) a history of Danudirja Setiabudi, (2) the politics and education alstruggle of Danudirj aSetiabudi in the Dutch East Indies, (3) the effect of Setiabudi Danudirja struggle against the colonial government and Indieseducational policy, (4) the relevance of Danudirja Setiabudi seducational thought in 1912-1942 at Dutch East Indies towards material of historical learning at class XI Senior High School.In accordance with that objectives, this research used the historical method. This research took place in Monument Press, Rekso Pustaka Library Surakarta. Data were collected through literature study and analysis of primary sources such as books by Danudirja Setiabudi, newspapers and etc. Data analysis techniques in this research using historical analysis that is technical analysis emphasis on sharpness in the interpretation of historical data.Based on the results can be concluded: (1) Danudirja Setibudi born of the couple Auguste Henri Edouard Douwes Dekker, a Dutchman and his mother Louisa Margaretha Neumann.  This shows Danudirja Setiabudi are descendants of Indonesian or mixture included in group Indies. Danudirja Setiabudi as anIndis get a better education than the indigenous people. (2) Danudirja Setiabudi see gaps arise in him the desire transform and express his desire. The path chosen is journalism. Through newspapers Danudirja Setiabudi try express an opinion on the colonial government. Besides journalism Danudirja Setiabudi establish political parties with Ki Hajar Dewantoro and Tcipto Mangun Kusumo named Indische Partij. After this political field failed Danudirja Setiabudi continue his struggle in education by establishing Ksatrian Instituut School in Bandung. (3) As a result of the Setiabudi Danudirja struggle weremake the colonial government get a new provision that all organizations deemed not cooperative with the Dutch government then did not get the recognition of legal entities from the colonial government. His struggle in education give new color for education in the Dutch East Indies, where the school is formed Danudirja Setiabudi embed understand love of country which raised the understanding of nationalism in Ksatrian Instituut students. (4) Setiabudi Danudirja thinking in the field of education is still relevant to this day. Nasioanlisme is understood love of the homeland and a willing to sacrifice for the nation of Indonesia. It is closely related to classroom learning materials at class XI of Senior High School about the national movement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the history and development of the Isdiman Palagan Ambarawa Museum, (2) the condition and management of historic objects in the Isdiman Palagan Ambarawa Museum, (3) utilization of Isdiman Palagan Ambarawa Museum collection as instructional history media and source in SMA Negeri 1 Ambarawa.This study used qualitative descriptive method, with the shape of a single case study. The data source of this research was the informant, places, events, archives, documents and historical objects Isdiman Palagan Ambarawa Museum. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and analysis of documents. Footage used was purposive sampling techniques derived from Isdiman Palagan Ambarawa Museum manager, agents of history, history teacher, vice principal of curriculum, facilities and infrastructure vice principal, students, Dispora of Semarang District. The validity of the data used was triangulation techniques of data and methods. The data analysis technique used was interactive analysis, which was a process of analysis that move between the three components which include data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion.This research indicate that: (1) the history and development of the Isdiman Palagan Ambarawa Museum was built on the basic of respect for Lieutenant Isdiman and has historical value in the event of the Battle Ambarawa, (2) the condition and management of historic objects in the Isdiman Palagan Ambarawa Museum still limited to administrative management were still modest, (3) the use Isdiman Palagan Ambarawa Museum collection as instructional history media and source of SMA Negeri 1 Ambarawa adjusted to the Standards Competency and Basic Competency listed on the KTSP (Education Unit Based Curriculum).

Abstract

The purpose of this research to study and to find out: 1) the influence of inquiry learning method and lecture to learning achievement of history; 2) the difference in effect between students who have a high learning motivation with students who have a low learning motivation to learning achivement of history; 3) The interaction effect of inquiry learning methods and student motivation toward learning achievement history.This research is descriptive quantitative research with the conclusion through statistical analysis. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA IIS 6 Surakarta academic year 2014/2015. Samples taken as many as 120 students. Samples were taken at random cluster sampling technique. Necessary data obtained through questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques are used analysis of variance (ANOVA).The conclusion of the study as follows: 1) There is a significant difference between the use of methods of inquiry and discourse on the learning achievement of subjects with a history of Fcount = 16.132> F table = 4.00. History lesson learning achievement in the group of students with learning methods inquity tend to be higher compared with subjects learning achievement of students with a history of group teaching methods lectures; 2) There is a significant difference between students who have learning motivation high and low on the learning achievement of subjects History class X SMA IIS 6 Surakarta first semester of 2014/2015 Fcount= 6.512> F table = 4.00. History lesson learning achievement in the group of ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­_______________________1 Ringkasan Penelitian Skripsi2 Mahasiswa Program Studi Penedidikan Sejarah Universitas Sebelas Maret3 Dosen dan Pembimbing pada Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah, FKIP UNS, Surakartastudents who have a high level of learning motivation tends to be higher than the achievement of study subjects who had a history of a group of students learningmotivation level is low; 3) There is a significant interaction effect between the use of teaching methods and students' motivation towards learning achievement subjects with a history of values of Fcount = 4.408> F table = 4.00. Thus, it can be seen that a more effective method of inquiry used in learning activities to improve achievement and motivation to learn subjects History of SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta.

Abstract

The purposes of this research is to describe: (1) The understanding of the teacher history of Islamic culture about 2013 curriculum in MAN Karanganyar. (2) Learning planing the history of Islamic culture based on 2013 curriculum in MAN Karanganyar. (3) The implementation of learning history of Islamic culture based on curriculum 2013 in MAN Karanganyar. (4) The evaluation that was done by history of Islamic culture teacher on learning based on 2013 curriculum in MAN Karanganyar. (5) Supporting factor and constaints the teacher experienced in the implementation of learning the history of Islamic culture based on curriculum 2013 in MAN Karanganyar. This research used descriptive qualitaive method which emphasized the process and meaning of activity or state information. The research of the data collected by observation, interviews and document analysis. The test of the data used by trianggulation data and trianggulation method. In this research used interactive analysis model.The achievement of this research that found: (1) The teacher of the history of Islamic culture quite understanding enough of 2013 curriculum while in the implementation the teacher still having difficulty. (2) Planing the learning history of Islamic culture in MAN Karanganyar begins by the preparation of tools learning such as RPP based on syllabus 2013 curriculum. (3) The implementation of learning the history of Islamic culture in MAN Karanganyar devided into preliminary, core, closure and use a scientific approach is devided by the activity observe,  ask, explore, associate, and communicate. (4) Evaluation of the learning is done by an assesment of the aspect of knowledge,skill and attitudes of learners. (5) Factor inhibiting learning the history of Islamic culture is the unavailability of the student book specialization the history of Islamic culture as a source of learning, the use of media that is not maximized, the state of students is different educational backgrounds and too detail teacher assesment techniques  makes difficulty, supporting factor is the avability of supporting infranstructures learning adequate.

Abstract

The purpose of conducting the research is to find out the cooperative model application in learning history based on cultural value for improving learning achievements and character values of the students in XI D Dancing class of SMK N 8 Surakarta. The research is a classroom action research or Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). The research is conducted within two cycles, in which every cycle consists of planning, course of action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects are 17 students of XI D Dance class of SMKN 8 Surakarta. The sources of data are taken from teachers, students, and librarian. Technique of collecting data done by observations, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentations or recordings. While, for knowing the data validity, it uses data validation and method validation. In analyzing the data, it uses descriptive qualitative technique of analysis. Research procedure is the DDAER.The result is that the teacher is capable in carrying out the lesson plans and using the local culture values in the learning process so the learning process can run well. It can be seen from the increasing of the teacher?s and students? activity in learning process. Teacher uses cooperative model in which the local culture values are inserted within the learning materials when the implementation class action in progress. Therefore, the students can perceive the lesson that has been done. It has been proven that this kind of learning model can raise the students? learning achievements and characters values. It can be seen through the rising of the percentage of revenue from the first cycle to the second cycle. Based on the result of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that cooperative model in learning history due to the local culture can increase learning achievements and character values of the students in XI D Dance class of SMKN 8 Surakarta.

Abstract

The Aim of this research is to increase the character and the interest in Studying for the students of class XI IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta, by integrating nasionalism values by using cooperative learning model in the history learning.            The research is a classroom action research or Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK ). There are two cycles in applying of the research, by having each cycle consists of planing, action, observation, and reflection evaluation. The subject of this research is the students of class XI IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta, with the total of 24 persons. The data resource is from the teachers, students and the learning proceses. The techcnique of collecting data is done by observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation. The validity test is using triangulation technics that is data triangulation and method. The analyzing of the data is using analyzing technique of qualitative descriptive. The research procedure is using cycle PTK model that is developed by Suharsimi Arikunto ( Planning, Action, Observing, Reflection)            The result of the research is indicating that a teacher can be categorized in having ability in integrating of nasionalism values by being well in the cooperative learning model, so the process of learning can run well. The implementation of nasionalism values by having cooperative learning model can increase the character and the interest in the history learning of the students of class XI IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta that is from pre cycle to first cycle and from the first cycle to the second cycle. The character of the pre cycle students is 74% increasing to 81.6% on the first cycle, and on the second cycle increasing to 83.2%. The interest of the student in the history learning is on pre cycle is about 77.1% that is increasing to 81.9% on the first cycle and increasing to 84.4% on the second cycle.            Based on the result of the research and the above discussion we can conclude that the implementation in the history learning is integrated by nasionalism values that is by having cooperative learning model so that it can increase the character and the learning interest of the students of class XI IIS I SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the understanding of historical values and student learning outcomes of class X IIS 2 SMAN 1 Gemolong academic year 2014/2015 through the application of CTL model with Sangiran Site Media.This reasearch is classroom action research (CAR). The experiement was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects were students, teacher, and the teacher and learning in class X IIS 2 SMAN 1 Gemolong. Data and data sources come from students, teacher, and the learning process. Techniques of data collection is by interview, observation, questionaires, and tests. Test validity of data using the technique of triangulation method. Data analysis using comparative descriptive techniques. Research procedure is the spiral model.The result showed that; (1) the application of CTL model with Sangiran Site media can improve understanding of historical values student class X IIS 2 SMAN 1 Gemolong academic year 2014/2015. It can be seen from the result of the percentage of achievement indicators in the questionnaire understanding of historical values. In the first cycle the average achievement is 83,28 % and in the second cycle increased to 88,78 % of this acquistion has exceeded the target of 75 %; (2) the application of CTL model with Sangiran Site media can improve student learning outcomes. It can be seen from the mastery of cognitive test score, the student who complete the first cycle as much as 56,25 % and in the second cycle be 78,125 %, this result has exceeded the target of 75 %.The conclusion of this research is the application of CTL model with Sangiran Site media can improve understanding of historical values and student learning outcomes class X IIS 2 SMAN 1 Gemolong academic year 2014/2015 Keywords: CTL model, Sangiran Site media, historical values, learning outcomes

Abstract

The aim of this research are to find out: (1) the background of Chinese and Javanese cultural assimilation in Surakarta 1966-1998, (2) The process of Chinese and Javanese cultural assimilation in Surakarta 1966-1998, (3) The impact of Chinese and Javanese cultural assimilation after 1966-1998, (4) The relevance of the research result of Chinese-Surakarta ethnic assimilation in 1966-1998 for multicultural education.The method used in this research are qualitative research methods. The steps taken in this method including data collection, data reduction, data analysis, presentation of data, and conclusion.The result of this research are : (1) The background of Chinese and Javanese cultural assimilation are caused by internal factor and external factor. Internal factor include the condition of Chinese community in the middle of the Javanese majority and economic problem. The external factor are appeared because of the New Order government policy. (2) The process of Chinese and Javanese cultural assimilation are divided into two periods, Old Order period led by Soekarno and New Order period led by Soeharto. (3) The impact of Chinese and Javanese cultural assimilation are contained in performing art and celebration day that contains cultural combination between Chinese and Javanese culture. (4) The result of this research are relevant with education field. Particularly as additional teaching materials for multicultural education in high school education.

THE APPLICATION OF LEARNING MODEL OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING WITH INDEX CARD MATCH MEDIA IN INCREASING STUDENTS' ACTIVENESS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES IN HISTORY SUBJECT OF CLASS X MIA 1 SMA NEGERI 1 BREBES SALEM IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2014/2015. Thesis. Faculty of Education and Teacher Training. Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. July 2015.The purpose of this research is to enhance the students? activeness and learning outcomes of students in class X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Salem Brebes by applying the teaching model of cooperative learning with index card match media in history subject.This research is a classroom action research (CAR). The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of a plan, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 38 students of class X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Salem. Source of data was derived from the teacher, the students and the learning process. Data collection techniques were implemented by conducting tests, observations, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Testing the data validity was by using triangulation techniques. Data analysis was conducted by using comparative descriptive analysis techniques. The research model used was the spiral model (Planning, Acting, Observing and Reflecting).The results showed that the teacher could be categorized as be able to teach well in the learning process, so that the learning process ran well. The ability of teachers to teach in pre-cycle was 62.5% which increased to 79.5% in the first cycle and 85.71% in the second cycle. The implementation of teaching model of cooperative with index card match media could enhance the students? activeness and learning outcomes of studying history subject of class X MIA 1 in pre-cycle to the first cycle and from cycle I to cycle II. The students? activeness in pre-cycle was 63.15% which increased to 79.27% in the first cycle and 82.31% in the second cycle. The completeness of students? learning outcomes in pre-cycle was 65.79% which increased to 73.68% in the first cycle and successfully developed to 81.37 in the second cycle.Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be drawn the conclusion that the teaching model of cooperative learning with index card match media enhance the students? activeness and learning outcomes of class X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Salem Brebes.
