Abstract

Abstrack The objective of research is to describe: (1) History of Reog Brijo Lor conscience art emergence in Kalikebo village, Trucuk, Klaten Regency, Central Java, (2) the process of Reog Brijo Lor conscience art development in Kalikebo village, Trucuk, Klaten Regency, Central Java, and (3) the social effect of Reog Brijo Lor conscience art on Kalikebo village, Trucuk, Klaten Regency, Central Java. This study was a descriptive qualitative research, a way of investigating an event in the present by providing descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from certain people or behavior observed using certain procedures. This research employed a single embedded case study strategy. The data source used was object, place, event, informant, and document. Techniques of collecting data used were observation, interview, and document analysis. The sample used was purposive and snowball sampling. To validate the data, two triangulation techniques were used: data and method triangulations. Technique of analyzing data used was an interactive analysis, the one moving between three components of data reduction, data display, and verification/conclusion drawing, occurring in cyclically. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to increase the history understanding and students creativity subject of class XI IPS 2 SMA N 4 Surakarta in the second semester of academic year 2016/2017 using cooperative learning type NHT (Numbered Heads Together) by using mind map media.This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) and conducted into two cycle in which every cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this research were 26 students of XI IPS 2 SMA N 4 Surakarta. Research sources were the teacher, students, learning process, and document. Data collecting techniques used in this research were interview, observation, test, and documentation. Data validation techniques used triangulation, source and method. This research conducted data analyzing techniques namely interactive analyzing model. The research procedure used was Lewin?s theory, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting.The result showed that: (1) the implementation NHT using mind map media can increase history understanding. The number of students who complected the stage pre-cycle KKM only 11 students or 42,30%. In the first cycle increased to 18 students completed the classical KKM or 69,23% after the second cycle increased again to 23 students completed the classical KKM or 88,46%. (2) The implementation of NHT (Numbered Heads Together) by using mind map media can increase students creativity. The average percentage indicator of students creativity through observation on pre-cycle is 66,92% and then increased to 75,38% in the first cycle and the second cycle increased to 82,30%. The average percentage of creativity indicators mind map group result in the first cycle is 73,33% and increased to 80% in the second cycle. The conclusion of this research is the implementation of cooperative learning type NHT (Numbered Heads Together) by using mind map media can increase history understanding and students creativity subject of class XI IPS 2 SMA N 4 Surakarta in the second semester academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to know: (1) Political conditions in Surakarta palace before and during the reign of Pakubuwana VI, (2) Political strategy of Pakubuwana VI against Dutch colonial, (3) End of the match of Pakubuwana VI against Dutch colonial, (4) Implications of political strategy Pakubuwana VI in educationThis research uses historical method. The steps taken by the historical method there are four stages of activities: heuristic, criticism, interpretation and historiography. Data sources uses are written sources which archives, books, magazines and newspapers. Data collection techniques used is the technique literature. Analysis of the data used is the analysis of historical analysis that prioritizes sharpness in  interpretating the facts of history.Based on the research done, it can be concluded that: (1) Political conditions in Surakarta palace was heavily influenced by the Dutch colonial. The Netherlands also apply political divide et empera that aims to disrupt the stability of Surakarta palace. Relationship between Surakarta palace with colonial government created in the form of agreements. One of the important agreement is an agreement in 1749 that the contents of the devolution of authority to the VOC. (2) Conflict between Pakubuwana VI with the Dutch colonial government is due to the agreements made by the predecessor. Among them was an agreement in 1677, 1705, and 1749. All agreements are detrimental to the palace of Surakarta and limiting power Pakubuwana VI. (3) In the Java War Pakubuwana VI assist Prince Diponegoro. On the one hand Pakubuwana required to provide assistance to the Netherlands because of the bond agreement. For the Pakubuwana VI Prince Diponegoro recommend a relief to quietly. Some of the strategies used include Mimis Kencana tactics, tactics Candrodimuko, secret meetings and Guerrilla War. (4) At the end of the War of Javanese prince Diponegoro was arrested and exiled by the Dutch to Manado, and Pakubuwana VI exiled to Ambon on 8 July 1830. Pakubuwana VI died on July 5, 1849. (5) Implications of political strategy Pakubuwana VI in education, that can be used as literature in political education. Due to the political education not only include material about politics but also economics and history.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) Knowing the reason Suran Jomboleka still preserved by the community Karangpandan until now, (2) Knowing the public perception of Suran Jomboleka tradition, (3) Know the benefits of traditional values Ceremony Suran Karangpandan Jomboleka on people's lives.This study used a qualitative descriptive study design. Sample used is purposive sampling. While data collection techniques implemented by means of observation, interviews, and document analysis. To test the validity of the data the author uses triangulation of data sources and triangulation methods. Data analysis techniques in this study using a model of qualitative analysis and interactive analysis.Based on these results it can be concluded: (1) The ceremony Suran Jomboleka Talpitu Hamlet is based on belief or a strong impulse or because of feelings of fear of things that are not desirable (danger), so that people believe when carrying out the ceremony regularly every year, the village will be protected from all adverse events, and, if violated, will get a bala '. (2) Public perception of Suran Jomboleka ceremony, the authors classified into two categories, the first is the old group, this group still upholds the traditions or customs. The second is a young group, the response of this group to the ceremony Suran Jomboleka diverse, it is influenced by the level of education and the thickness of one's faith. This class of rational thinking, because of their higher levels of education, also established a devout prayers and other Islamic teachings. (3) Suran ceremony Jomboleka have values that can be useful in public life, among others. First, Suran Jomboleka ceremony is a form of gratitude for the blessings that have been bestowed by God. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students? questioning participation andlearning outcomes of students in class XI IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali by applying learning strategy of active knowledge sharing in history subject.This research is a classroom action research (CAR). The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of a plan, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 34 students of class XI IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali. Data source was derived from the teacher, the students and the learning prosess. Data collection techniques were implemented by interviews, conducting tests, observations, and documentation. Testing the data validity was done by using triangulation techniques. Data analysis was conducted by using comparative descriptive analysis techniques. The research model used was the spiral model (Planning, Acting, Observing, and Reflecting).The results showed that the teacher and students are able to apply learning strategy of active knowledge sharing in the learning process, so that the learning process ran well. Teacher's activities in pre-cycle teaching was 63,24% which increased into 75,00% in the first cycle and 91,67% in the second cycle. Students' activities in pre-cycle learning was 59,09% which increased into 77,08% in the first cycle and 93,75% in the second cycle. The implementation of learning strategy of active knowledge sharing can improve questioning participation and learning outcomes of studying history subject of class XI IIS 1 in pre-cycle into the first cycle and from cycle I into cycle II. The students? questioning participation in pre-cycle was 21,88% which increased into 69,70% in the first cycle and 88,24% in the second cycle. The completeness of students? learning outcomes in pre-cycle was 76,47% which increased into 82,35% in the first cycle and succesfully developed into 94,12% in the second cycle.Based on the research findings and discussion, it can be drawn a conclusion that the learning strategy of active knowledge sharing can improve questioning participation and learning outcomes of studying history subject of class XI IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali.

Abstract

This study is aimed to describe: (1) teachers? comprehension of multicultural education in historical learning, (2) the implementation of multicultural education in historical learning at SMA Islam Diponegoro Surakarta, (3) the obstacles in implementing multicultural education in historical learning at SMA Islam Diponegoro Surakarta, (4) the efforts taken to overcome the obstacles in implementing multicultural education in historical learning at SMA Islam Diponegoro Surakarta, (5) students' perception to the implementation of multicultural education in historical learning at SMA Islam Diponegoro Surakarta.This study is kind of descriptive qualitative research which investigates an event by providing descriptive data. The data source in this study is place, event, informant, and document. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and document analysis. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. To validate the data, data and method triangulation were used in this study. Technique of analyzing the data used is interactive analysis, which is encompassing in three components: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.Based on the results of this study, the following conclusion can be drawn as follows: (1) the history teacher has a good comprehension of multicultural education which marked by teachers understand the meaning and purpose of multicultural education as well as teachers understand the relevance of multicultural education with historical learning, (2) the implementation of multicultural education in historical learning is carried out through three stages of learning, which are learning plan by arrange the learning preparation based on multicultural approach, the learning implementation by implement discussion method with cooperative learning model, and learning evaluation by evaluate students? multicultural values, (3) the obstacle in implementing multicultural education in historical learning is teacher yet to implement learning content based on multicultural perspective, the implementation already used is by doing discussion method and giving the multicultural values tough, (4) the effort taken to overcome the obstacle in implementing multicultural education in historical education is by doing a mediation through In House Training (IHT) program, (5) students evaluate the implementation of multicultural education in historical learning has been implemented well because the students have been more understood the importance of giving tolerance in society when and after historical teaching and learning process with multicultural approach.

Abstract

Comparative Study of Cooperative Learning Model Study Teams Games Tournament (TGT) with Conventional Model Learning Achievement Against History Seen From Independence Students (An Experimental Study at SMA 1 Banyudono). Thesis. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. 2013. The purpose of this study was to know (1) the  impact  of  the  Teams Games Tournament (TGT)  and conventional  learning  models  on  the  students  history  education achievement (2) to  reveal  the  impact  differences between the students with high and low learning independence on their history education  achievement, and (3) to  find  out  the  interactional  impact  between  the learning models on  the students history education achievement and  their independent learning.   The research was carried out in SMA 1 Banyudono in the second semester of academic year 2012/2013. The study population was all students in class XI IPS SMA N 1 Banyudono, of the population of researchers got 32 students XI IPS 4 as the experimental group using the learning model of TGT and 32 students of class XI IPS 3 as control group using conventional learning. Sampling technique used was the cluster random. The data were analyzed with ANOVA multiple regression after precondition test. The normality analysis was tested using Lilliefors significant corection from Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, meanwhile the homogeneity analysis with Levene's Test. From the results of this research concluded that: 1) There is a significant differing impact of TGT and conventional learning models on the students history education achievement, as shown by F value = 4.861, and p value = 0.31> 0.05. 2) a significant differing impact between students with high and low learning independence is found as reflected by F value = 40.822, and p value = 0.000 <0.05, and finally 3) there is no interactional impact between the learning models and the students independent learning in history education as confirmed by F value = 2.063, and p value = 0.129> 0.05. Abstract

This study aimed to describe (1) the history teachers? understanding, (2) planning, (3) implementation, (4) barriers, and (5) solutions, regarding: the implementation of the values of heroism of General Sudirman for planting characters in history class XI IPS in SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo.This was a descriptive qualitative research, which used case study approach. The subjects of this research were history teacher and the XI Social grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo. The techniques of collecting data were interview, observation and document analysis. The data of this research consisted of primary data and secondary data. The sources of the data were informant, documents and place-incident.The results of the research were (1) the history teacher understood using learning history as building media of the heroism values of General Soedirman through teaching material which is contained characteristic values and efforts made to appreciate the struggle of heroes; (2) there was relevance between the heroism values of General Soedirman with Curriculum 2013, syllabus, and the lesson plan, there were KI 2 (attitude; spiritual) and 3 (knowledge), KD 2.4 ?imitated the behavior of the heroes?, 3.10 ?political developments early days of independence?, and 3.11 ?analyzing of the struggle of Indonesia in order to maintain independence from ally and Dutch?; (3) the planning of the history lesson which is implementing heroism values of General Soedirman was made by the teacher through make  a lesson plan based on 2013 curriculum; (4) based on the interview with the history teacher of XI grade students, history learning observation, and lesson plan analysis, showed that the implementation was done by steps of learning, discussion, and presentation method. There were five heroism values of General Soedirman which are observed leadership, braveness, responsibility, never surrender, and religious. Based on the research the learners more showed that they were never surrender; (5) the obstacles during implementing the heroism values of General Soedirman were time, teaching resources, the learners condition, and learning time. Abstract

The purposes of this study were to (1) determine the character values of Abdullah bin Abu Quhafah; (2) determine the implementation of teachers for learning the character values of Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah through the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) lesson in MAN Karanganyar; (3) the obstacle faced by teacher for learning the character values of Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah through the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) lesson in MAN KaranganyarThis study was conducted under qualitative descriptive method that emphasizes the process and meaning of the activity or information in the ongoing situation. The strategy used in this study was case study. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. In order to valid the data, the researcher used data sources triangulation and method triangulation. This research used an interactive model.The results showed that (1) the teacher?s understanding of the character values of Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah include honesty, courageous, generous, modest and religious. In the SKI lesson these character values have been applied properly; (2) the teacher implementation for learning character values of Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah through SKI includes planning, implementation and teacher evaluation. In the SKI planning as a media for learning character values Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah started with the preparation of lesson tools such as lesson plan (RPP) based on curriculum 2013 syllabus. RPP has contains character values. The implementation of SKI lesson consists of the beginning, middle, and the end. The third stage is used by SKI Teacher to learning the character values. Evaluation of the learning the character values of Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah is done by an assesment of the aspect of knowledge, skill, and attitudes of learners; (3) the constraints faced by SKI teacher in the SKI lesson as a media for learning the character values of Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah is limited teaching time, the limited resources of learners, the student school development environment different with the school outside environment.

Abstract

This study belongs to quantitative descriptive research using statistical analysis. The population of the research is all eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Surakarta. The samples are 64 students taken by using cluster random sampling. The instruments used to collect the data were questionnaire and documentation. The previous questionnaire had been tried out to check the validity and the reliability. The techniques which were used to analyze the data were Multiple Regression Correlation, t-test, F-test, R2 test, and relative and effective contribution.The result of data analysis shows that there is a linier regression equation as follow Y = 0,219 + 0,016X1 + 0,011X2 . The equation shows that there is a positive correlation between teacher?s ability in managing class and creativity. The conclusions of the research are: 1) the perception that teacher?s ability in managing class has positive influence to the students? achievement in history is accepted. It is according to the analysis of multiple regression of F-test, which Fcount  > Ftable; 64,811 > 3,15 and the level of significance is lower than 0.05 (0.0002); 2) there is a positive correlation between creativity and students? achievement in history. It is based on multiple regression analysis (t-test) in which tcount > ttabel; 5,588 > 2,000 and the level of significance < 0,05 (0,000).It has relative contribution 40% and effective contribution 27,2%; 3) there is a positive correlation between perception of teacher?s ability in managing class and students? achievement in history. It is according to multiple regression analysis in which tcount > ttable, 7,085 > 2,000 and the value of significance is lower than  0,05,that is 0,000. It also has relative contribution 60% and 40.8% for effective distribution; 4) The coefficient determination (R2) which is 0.68 shows that the percentage of the perception of teacher?s ability in managing class towards students? achievement in history of eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Surakarta in the academic year of 2014/2015 is 68% and the rest is influenced by other factors.
