Abstract

Geochemical characterization of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon and n-alkanes in sediment and water from New Calabar Rivers was carried out using gas chromatography – Flame Ionization Detector (FID). A total of twenty-six (26) n-alkanes were quantified and identified for water sample whereas the sediment sample recorded a total of twenty-five (25) n-alkanes. The n-alkane concentrations varied between 0.48-43.80 for sediment samples and 0.27-22.0 for water sample. The study involves the use of some geochemical parameters such as CPI, , Paq LHC/SHC for characterization of n-alkanes. The n-alkane in sediment and water from the study area ranged from with at suggesting mixed contribution of terrestrial plant wax and petroleum/microbial sources of organic matter. < 25 are indicative of petroleum and microbial source input while > 25 reflects the incorporation of higher plant wax. The PAHs detected and quantified in the samples are the regular PAHs found in the ecosystem and are formed from anthropogenic sources. Based on the study, it was discovered that water and sediment from the study area had variable contributions to n-alkanes and PAHs predominantly petroleum inputs as the secondary source (allochthonous) continental inputs and microbial inputs from organic matter such as macrophytes and phytoplanktonic derived organic matter as its primary source (autochthonous) planktonic inputs.

Abstract

The study ascertained the level of compliance with school-based social distancing practices among teachers and head teachers during COVID-19 pandemic in Vocational Enterprises Institute in Abuja, Nigeria. Two research questions were raised to guide the study and one hypothesis was formulated and tested at .5 level of significant. The research design used for this study was the descriptive survey research design, specifically, using cross-sectional study. The population of the study was 154 respondents consisting of 91 male and 63 female teachers. Total population sampling technique was used to select the whole population of the study. The instrument used for data collection was compliance with School-Based Social Distancing Practices Scale (S-BSDPS). The reliability indices of the instrument were found to be .88 and .91 using Cronbach Alpha statistical method. The study employed the use of mean to answer the research questions and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to test the null hypothesis using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25. Findings revealed that, teachers complied with 6 items and failed to comply with1 item while head teachers complied with 7 and failed to comply with 5 items on the school-based social distancing practices scale. The study recommended that, the education secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja should enforce the full compliance with school-based social distancing practices among head teachers during COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

The present communication is based on the sighting of five new species of butterflies viz recorded first time in Azmat Abad Village and Thanna Mandi District Rajouri Jammu and Kashmir, based on the field survey. The Butterflies recorded the first time in Azmat Abad village and Thanna mandi Viz (Junonia iphita) Chocalate pansy, (Pieris canidia) Indian cabbage white, (Fabricianan adippe)High brown fritillary, (Aglais caschmirensis)Indian tortoiseshell. The Altitude is 1668 meters above the sea level support sub-tropical to temperate vegetation and offers congenial climatic condition favorable for growth of vegetation including fauna. Altitude distribution of butterflies from higher to lower altitudes. With an altitudes ranges number of species present in lower altitudes and keep decreasing toward higher altitude .The present study added valuable information on diversity of butterfly fauna and will contribute in developing effective conservation in Azmat Abad village and Thanna Mandi District Rajouri of Jammu and Kashmir.

Abstract

The article describes the species of Dracocephalum L., distributed in the flora of Uzbekistan, the National Herbarium (TASH) of the institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and they analyzed the samples stored in the herbarium fund of the Moscow State University Lomonosov (MW). Accordingly, 2174 herbarium specimens collected from Central Asia and Uzbekistan were collected in the (MW) herbarium fund, and 1738 herbarium specimens of 22 species were critically analyzed in the TASH fund. An electronic database was linked based on the study.

Abstract

Pathological changes are observed mainly in the root part of cotton infected with bulging nematodes. As a result of the development of larval nematode larvae and the formation of giant cells, the function of the conductive tissue in the plant root is impaired. As a result, moisture and nutrients are spent on the larvae of bulging nematodes. As a result, crop yields are sharply reduced.

Abstract

Most Authors are victims of fake or predatory online journal trying to find out later that their submitted manuscript was published in a blacklisted or fake journal that som that they are indexed in a high impact journal such as Scopus, Web of Science and ISI. For the new authors who are starting with their career in Research and Publication they must be aware of the following situations that there are also fake or predatory online journals that are requested for Call of Papers for Publication. Furthermore, that Researcher is proposing of developing a Web-Based Framework that can detect or measured the impact of a certain Online Research Journal. With this type of study all authors will not be able to encounter these kind of problems and anomalies in Publications and will be able to submit manuscripts to the high impact journal in a much easier and faster way.

Abstract

In the article, the results and follow-up of the preparation and storage of dried apricots in plastic dishes are presented. The expediency of preparation for storage of dried apricot in plastic dishes by keeping them for 9 days in places where direct sunlight falls has been substantiated. After such preparation and storage, dried apricots are stored for more than 3 years without being damaged by pests. When apricot dried apricots are placed in plastic containers and stored in direct sunlight for 9 days, the plastic does not kill the worms due to the increased pressure inside the plastic container and high temperatures, killing insect eggs, fungi and bacteria.

Abstract

Due to the widespread and rapid rate of damage to the bronchopulmonary system, bronchial asthma (BA) will always remain the most urgent task of medicine. This study was conducted to determine the type of dyspnea, for verification of which the method of assessing the functional state of external respiration-Spirography-was used. A survey of 93 patients with AD, whose age ranged from 31 to 63 years, was conducted. In 71 (76.3%) patients with severe BA, and in 15 (16.1%) and 7 (7.6%) patients with moderate and mild BA, respectively. The basis for determining the violation of the ventilation function of the lungs for obstructive BA with a mild and moderate course, as well as a mixed type in severe BA, was the data of indicators of the external respiratory function (FVD).

Abstract

The sphere of information management is a set of all decisions necessary for management at all stages of an enterprise's life cycle, including all actions and operations associated with information in all its forms and states, and with the enterprise as a whole. At the same time, the tasks of determining the value and efficiency of using not only the information itself (data and knowledge) should be solved, so that each manager receives only relevant information, but also other resources of the enterprise, in one way or another, coming into contact with information: technological, personnel, financial, etc., is taught as an innovative specialty. This article examines information management as a field of scientific and practical activity.
