Abstract

This paper reviews the evidence of the impact of Islamic microfinance on poverty alleviation and identifies the determinants that can influence microfinance borrowers to realize the SDGs 2030 through a literature review. This study also promotes Islamic microfinance and suggests it as one of the best poverty alleviation tools, especially among Muslim communities by reviewing some of the measures suggested by other researchers through systematic literature reviews. This paper is a literature survey of more than 40 articles related to microfinance that attempt to review and analyze the areas researched by researchers in microfinance. This survey consists not only of empirical analysis and comparative analysis but recommendations and suggestions with some theoretical work. So to achieve the SDGs 2030 goal, it would be very good if Islamic microfinance institutions were used as the main alternative tool to alleviate poverty. Because the program and implementation of Islamic microfinance are always based on maslahah for the community

Abstract

This study aims to assess the feasibility of Bongo Village in the Gorontalo Regency as a religious tourism destination. The method used uses a qualitative descriptive approach by using Islamic religious tourism indicators, including tourists' motivation to visit Bongo Village, the behaviour of tourists while in tourist objects, the availability of halal food and drinks, and the availability of halal accommodation. The study results found that the application of religious tourism indicators in Bongo Village still experienced several obstacles, including the behaviour and ways of dressing some tourists and local people who were not following Islamic law. No accommodation was following the standard of halal accommodation according to international rules. However, in terms of tourism activities, several activities represent religious tourism activities where some tourists visiting Bongo Village are to study religious histories such as studying the Walima tradition as the Prophet's Birthday Commemoration and the activities of Pesantren Alam. In terms of food provision, several food stalls in Bongo Village have provided halal food. However, a halal certification from the MUI still has to be supported to ensure the trust of Muslim tourists when visiting Bongo Village.

Abstract

Cultural festivals as celebrated in Nigeria have enormous potential to drive fusion of diverse socio-ethnic construct. Our study focused on only three psychometric rationales or premise for evaluating common preference in cultural mixes. Fundamentally each ethnic group in Nigeria feels strong about the uniqueness of their culture. Distinct cultural traditions have been preserved and appreciated over history. We synthesized this construct at α = 0.05. Among others, key factors of multiculturalism (r = 0.39) (ideological condition that believe tradition must not be altered or acculturated) such as cuisines, costumes, rituals, languages did not significantly encourage fusion of socio-ethnic groups. Furthermore, among others, key factors of colorblindness (r = 0.52) (ideological condition that believe that culture has common origin “human beings” and common goals “satisfy human’s needs and desires”; and so people everywhere can bridge cultural differentia) such as local business, heritage site, Lifestyle, security correlates. However, lifestyle and security mediates in certain domains of cultural consumption that evokes fear of cultural mixing and which does not absolutely change ethnic predominant cultural mindset. Key factors of polyculturalism (r = 0.79) (ideological condition with the believe that traditions and perspectives influence each other as cultural groups continually make contact and interact) such as awareness, values, friendliness and markets appeared significant in driving fusion. Multiculturalism (p < 0.05) offers high propensity to increasing preference for cultural fusion options through increasing concerns about the impurity from the mixing elements of different socio-ethnic group
