Abstract

Abstract: Preface : The use of traditional medicine in Indonesia continues to increase. In the Special Region of Yogyakarta, the use of traditional medicines is quite high, reaching 58.1% in 2013. However, the community's knowledge of traditional medicines is still low and limited to herbal medicine. Purpose : To describe the level of knowledge, attitudes and the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards traditional medicines. Method : This research using analytic observational design with a cross sectional technic. The sampling technique used purposive sampling on 70 respondents in Majasem Hamlet, Madurejo Village, Prambanan District, Sleman. The data observed included patient characteristics (age, gender, education and occupation), level of knowledge, attitudes, and the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards traditional medicines, using the Kruskal-Wallis statistical test. Result : In this study, there were more female respondents than male respondents, namely 62%. The most age was the age group of 17-25 years (31%). Meanwhile, the most levels of education and occupation were housewives (34%) and high school (61%). The majority of the community's level of knowledge about traditional medicine was in the sufficient category (50%), the attitude towards the use of traditional medicine was in the majority in the good category (84.2%). The Kruskal-Wallis test results obtained a significance value of 0.005 <0.05. Conclusion : The level of community knowledge about traditional medicine is in the good (28.5%), intermediate (50%), and poor (21.5%) categories. Attitudes to the use of traditional medicine were in the good (84.2%), intermediate (14.3%) and bad (1.5%) categories, and there was a relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards traditional medicine. Keywords: traditional medicine, level of knowledge, attitude

Abstract

Skin disorders that are dry, dull, scaly, and not fresh affect everyone. Moisturizing cream is a cosmetic product that effectively hydrates and improves dry skin. Broccoli, scientifically known as Brassica oleracea L, is rich in vitamin C components, vitamin E (α-tocopherol), and flavonoids, which act as natural antioxidants and provide moisturizing properties for the skin. Producing extracts by the maceration process. Broccoli extract is utilized in the formulation of four moisturizing cream preparation compositions, each with a concentration of F1 (0%), F2 (2%), F3 (3%), and F4 (4%). The moisturizing cream formulation is assessed for its physical properties. Conducting tests to evaluate the dosage characteristics of moisturizing creams, includes organoleptic testing, homogeneity testing, pH testing, dispersion testing, adhesion testing, and viscosity testing. The concentration of broccoli extract in the four moisturizing cream preparation formulations is as follows: F1 (0%), F2 (2%), F3 (3%), and F4 (4%). The moisturizing cream formulation is assessed for its physical properties. Conducting tests to evaluate the dosage properties of moisturizing creams, including sensory evaluation, uniformity assessment, pH measurement, dispersion analysis, adhesion examination, and viscosity measurement

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease characterized by increased glucose levels in the blood. The prevalence of type 2 DM is currently increasing. In pharmacological treatment, metformin is the first-line oral therapy for most patients with type 2 diabetes. Therapy with targeted incretin has been shown to stimulate glucose-dependent insulin secretion, reduce glucagon secretion, improve beta cell function, slow gastric emptying, increase satiety, reduce appetite, and provide general benefits beyond the pancreas. Search for scientific articles by utilizing internet searches through Google Scholar and PubMed. Using keywords related to "Cost Effective Analysis", "Diabetes Mellitus type 2", "Sitagliptine" with Boolean operator "AND". Sitagliptin is less cost-effective when compared to liraglutide. Sitagliptin is the first agent of the DPP-4 inhibitor with other substances following soon after. The evaluation shows that the prevention of complications in patients with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease (CVD) in the SGLT2 inhibitor group is more recommended, namely empaglifozin as the second line compared to sitagliptin.

Abstract

Introduction: The quality control (QC) process of a pharmaceutical company must be carried out following the Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB) guidelines. Evaluation of the QC process in the pharmaceutical industry needs to be carried out to minimize notes and risks that could affect the final results of the tests carried out. Six Sigma and risk management can be used to identify defects and risks in the quality control processes carried out. The Six Sigma and risk management methods were used in this research to improve the performance of the pharmaceutical company PT. X in the Quality Control (QC) section. Method: The method used in this research is an observational method with primary and secondary data types. Data collection is carried out by interviews, observation, and documentation that focuses on defects and risks in the QC process. Data analysis uses the Six Sigma method with DMAIC stages and SPSS 25 statistical tests. Results: results of the risk management performance values of the PT QC section. X decreased by 7.7% with a DPMO value from 328,000 to 251,200 and the Six Sigma value increased from 1.95-sigma to 2.19-sigma. Statistical analysis using the SPSS 25 chi-square method shows a value of 0.005, which means there is a difference between the risk value before and after improvement. The results of the contingency coefficient test show a value of 0.803 (close to 1), which means the data obtained has a strong relationship. The data results show an increase in the performance of the Quality Control (QC) section of PT. X which can be seen from the risk value, DPMO, and sigma value

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious disease caused by a Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, also known as acid-fast bacteria. To achieve a cure for TB patients, it is possible to increase knowledge and treatment compliance behavior. The Health Belief Model (HBM) is an effective treatment widely used to improve compliance and health behavior. This study aims to measure the validity and reliability of the knowledge construct and the HBM in pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Kedungmundu Health Center and Tlogosari Wetan Health Center, Semarang City. This research adopted a quantitative observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The results show that the validity test was based on the corrected item value of 0.361, while the reliability test used internal consistency techniques on the Cronbach Alpha value of 0.70. Meanwhile, the results of the knowledge construct had a validity value of 13 items with a corrected item value of 0.361 and reliability with a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.796. Also, the HBM construct to measure compliance and behavior had a validity value of 20 items with a corrected item of 0.361 and reliability with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.817.
