ABSTRACTYulia Wahyu Andika, THE EFFECT OF SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE AVAILABILITY AND LEARNING SPATIAL LAYOUT ON LEARNING INTERESTS IN THE OFFICE ADMINISTRATIONS DEPARTMENT STUDENTS OF SMK MURNI 2 SURAKARTA IN SCHOOL YEAR OF 2013/2014, Skripsi : Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, June 2014.The objective of this research was to find out: (1) how much was the effect of school infrastructure availability on learning interests in the Office Administrations Department students of SMK Murni 2 Surakarta in School Year of 2013/2014, (2) how much was the effect of learning spatial layout on learning interests in the Office Administrations Department students of SMK Murni 2 Surakarta in School Year of 2013/2014, and (3) how much was the effect of school infrastructure availability and learning spatial layout on learning interests in the Office Administrations Department students of SMK Murni 2 Surakarta in School Year of 2013/2014.This research used the descriptive quantitative research method. The population of research was all of Office Administrations Department students of SMK Murni 2 Surakarta in School Year of 2013/2014 consisting of 64 students. The sample consisted of 39 students. The sampling technique used was proportional stratified random sampling. Meanwhile, techniques of collecting data used were questionnaire and documentation. Technique of analyzing data used was statistical test with correlation and multiple regression analyses.Considering the result of data analysis, it could be concluded that: (1) there was a significant effect by 0,003 of school infrastructure availability on learning interests in the Office Administrations Department students of SMK Murni 2 Surakarta in School Year of 2013/2014, (2) there was a significant effect by 0,005 of learning spatial layout on learning interests in the Office Administrations Department students of SMK Murni 2 Surakarta in School Year of 2013/2014, and (3) there was a significant effect by 0,001 of school infrastructure availability and learning spatial layout on learning interests in the Office Administrations Department students of SMK Murni 2 Surakarta in School Year of 2013/2014. The multiple linear regression was ?=29.432 + 0.429 X1 + 0.235 X2. The relative contribution (X1) to (Y) was 53.46% and that of (X2) to (Y) was 46.54%. Meanwhile the effective contribution of (X1) to (Y) was 18.12% and that of (X2) to (Y) was 15.78%.Keywords: school infrastructure, learning spatial layout, and learning interest.

A STUDY OF SATISFACTION OF THE APPRENTICE USERS OF STUDENTS OF  ECONOMICS EDUCATION SPECIAL EXPERTISE FIELD OFFICE ADMINISTRATION EDUCATION OF TEACHER TRAINING AND EDUCATION FACULTY OF SURAKARTA SEBELAS MARET UNIVERSITY IN 2014. Skripsi: The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, July 2014.The objectives of this research are: (1) to investigate the satisfaction of  the users of apprentices toward the competency of the students of Economics Education, the Special Expertise Field of Office Administration, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, 2014; (2) to describe the constraints encountered in the implementation of Apprenticeship Program of Economics Education, the Special Expertise Field of Office Administration, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University; (3) to describe solutions taken to deal with the problems in the implementation of Apprenticeship Program of Economics Education, the Special Expertise Field of Office Administration, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University; and (4) to investigate the abilities that that should be prepared so as to reach apprenticeship competencies of the Economics education, the Special Expertise Field of Office Administration, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University.The results of the research are as follows: 1) the users of apprentices are satisfied with the competency of the students of Economics Education, the Special Expertise Field of Office Administration, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University in 2014 as indicated by the following: a) The students professional competency of the students has been good, as reflected by their good competency in assignment comprehension ability, dexterity in completing their tasks, and creativities in accomplishing their tasks. However, there is a less good sub-competency, namely: the decision-making sub-competency, b) The personal competency has been good as reflected by their competencies of thinking maturity, responsibility in executing their tasks, honesty, autonomy, good work discipline, work enthusiasm, high initiative, and ability to maintain attitudes and ethics. c) The social competency has been good as reflected by the ability to conduct oral and non-oral communications, ability to work together with employees, and ability to develop a good work condition. Yet, the competencies on the ability to adapt with work environment still need to be improved. 2) The constraints encountered in the implementation of the Apprenticeship Program of the Economics Education, the Special Expertise Field of Office Administration, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta are divided into two, namely: a) from the side of the students: personal competency constraints, the students? lack of preparation, the students? difficulty to adapt with the work environment, the students? low communication ability, and boredom experienced by the students and b) from the side of the users of apprentices: the busyness of employees, the limited office space, and difference of work characteristics. 3) The solutions taken to deal with the constraints in the implementation of of the Apprenticeship Program of the Economics Education, the Special Expertise Field of Office Administration, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta are as follows: (a) from the side of the students: conducting autonomous learning, being more responsive and active, doing a good approach to the employees, maintaining communication to the users of apprentices, and discussing work rotations with other divisions; and (b) from the side of the users of apprenticeship: giving opportunities to the students to raise questions, shared work table with students, and motivating the students. 4) The abilities that shall be prepared to reach the work competencies of apprentices of the Economics Education, the Special Expertise Field of Office Administration, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta include: abilities to do correspondence and to handle documents, intellectual and physical abilities, abilities to master office technology, and abilities to master applied competencies. Keywords: Satisfaction of the users, apprenticeship, and competency

Abstract

  The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) the efforts done by Special Job Fair of State Vocational High School1 of Surakarta to improve the job absorption rate of its graduates in the work world; (2) the constraints encountered by Special Job Fair of State Vocational High School1 of Surakarta in conducting its role to improve the job absorption rate of its graduates in the work world; and (3) the solutions taken by Special Job Fair of State Vocational High School 1 of Surakarta in dealing with the constraints to the implementation its role to improve the job absorption rate of its graduates in the work world. This research used the qualitative method with the case study approach. the sources of research data were informants, places, documents, and archives. The results of the research are as follows: 1) The efforts done by Special Job Fair of State Vocational High School 1 of Surakarta to improve the job absorption rate of its graduates in the work world include establishing cooperation with companies of the business world and the industrial world by enhancing the links for channeling its graduates to work world, drawing the students? attentions to work by displaying the profiles of companies, inviting the representatives of companies to the school, improving the hard and soft skills of its graduates, and establishing networks with other special job fairs of other schools in Surakarta City and its vicinity, and establishing cooperation with Indonesian Manpower Agencies. 2) The constraints encountered by Special Job Fair of State Vocational High School 1 of Surakarta in channeling its graduates to work world are students? labile personalities, difficulty in extending information to its students, and the mismatch between the work world and its graduates? competencies. 3) The solutions taken by Special Job Fair of State Vocational High School 1 of Surakarta include motivating its students, improving visit intensities of companies to the school, and disseminating job vacancy information through SMS, and improving cooperation with stakeholders.Keywords:     Special Job Fair, career decision-making, graduates, and Vocational High School

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is: (1) to find out the entrepreneurial values on Indie Clothing entrepreneur in Surakarta (2) to describe the picture of the implementation of the entrepreneurial values on Indie Clothing entrepreneur in Surakarta (3) to uncover the problems that arise as well as problem-solving strategies in running an Indie Clothing businesses.This research is qualitative research strategy with double systematic description. The technique used is the footage of purposive sampling. The technique of data collection is by interview, observation and document analysis. The validity of the data using the technique of triangulation data/sources and triangulation methods. Data analysis using interactive analysis models.Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded (1) entrepreneurial values on Indie Clothing businessman in Surakarta, amongst other things: (a) Able to see opportunities (b) Optimism (c) Are able to take a risk (d) Original: creativity and innovation (e) Commitment (f) Proactive. (2)  implementation of the entrepreneurial values on Indie Clothing businessman in Surakarta, among others: (a) production (b) marketing (c) finance/financial (d) human resources. (3) the problems and solving strategies in running businesses Indie Clothing, problems occurred in running the business of Indie Clothing include: (a) the limitations of venture capital (b) Any production mistakes which led to the quality of the product does not comply with the standard (c) An employee who is irresponsible, dishonest and less competent (d) the existence of the negligence in spending money, the lack of information regarding financial owned (e) An endorsement that is less professional team and imaging characteristics of line of business (f) the existence of a threat from the other party, its strategic location, less effort, lack of parking lots. Steps in problem solving in working Indie Clothing include: (a) borrow from venture capital to the banks and saving (b) controlling production (c) personal Approach towards workers who are less accountable, less competent and less disciplined (d) took note of the financial flows/financial as well as financial control both in production activities as well as private spending (e) marketing by using online media as well as program discounted products. Abstract

ABSTRACT The aims of this study were: (1) to find out whether there was any significant effect of teachers? professionalism to the teachers? performance of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta; (2) to find out whether there was any significant effect of work motivation to the teachers? performance of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta; and (3) to find out whether there was any significant effect of teachers? professionalism and work motivation to the teachers? performance of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta.This study used quantitative study approach, by descriptive method. The population of this study was all teachers of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta. Sampling technique used in this study was probability sampling that was simple random sampling by using raffling, in the amount of 35 students from a population of 55 teachers. The data collecting technique used was questionnaire and documentation techniques. While the data analysis technique of this study was statistical test by correlation analysis and multiple regression.Based on the result of this study, it could be concluded that: (1) there was a significant effect of teachers? professionalism to the teachers? performance of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta. It was shown by the value of rvalued > rtable or 0.443>0.334 on a significance level 5%; (2) there was a significant effect of work motivation to the teachers? performance of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta. It was shown by the value of rvalued > rtable or 0.634>0.334 on a significance level 5%; (3) There was a significant effect of teachers? professionalism and work motivation simultaneously to the teachers performance of Batik Senior High School 2 Surakarta. It was shown by Fvalued > Ftable or 22.528>3.295 on a significance level 5%. Other finding in this study was a multiple linear regression equation ? = -5.978 + 5.82X1 + 7.66X2, which meant that the average of teachers? performance would increased or decreased 5.82 on the increase of decrease of a teachers? professionalism unit, and would get 7.66X2 increase or decrease on the increase of decrease of a work motivation unit. Whereas the relative contribution of teachers? professionalism to the teachers? performance was 40.79%, and the relative contribution of work motivation to the teachers? performance was 59.21%. The effective contribution of teachers? professionalism to the teachers? performance was 23.85% and the effective contribution of work motivation to the teacher?s performance was 34.62%. Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) whether or not there is a significant effect of the peer group?s friendship (X1) on the learning motivation (Y) of the students in Grade X; (2) whether or not there is a significant effect of the parents? attention (X2) on the learning motivation (Y) of the students in Grade X; and (3) whether or not there is a simultaneously significant effect between the peer group?s friendship and the parents? attention on the learning motivation of the students in Grade X. This research used the descriptive quantitative research method. The population of the research was all of the students in Grade X as many as 80 students. The samples of the research was 60% or 48 out of 80 students, and were taken by using the proportional random sampling technique. The data of the research were gathered through questionnaire and documentation. They were then analyzed statistically by using the correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results of the research are as follows: (1) there is a significant effect of the peer group?s friendship (X1) on the learning motivation (Y) of the students in Grade X; (2) there is a significant effect of the parents? attention (X2) on the learning motivation (Y) of the students in Grade X; and (3) there is a simultaneously significant effect between the peer group?s friendship and the parents? attention on the learning motivation of the students in Grade X. The multiple linear regression equation is ? = -7.639 + 0.437 X1 + 0.586 X2. The relative contribution of X1 to Y is 24.58%, but that of X2 to Y is 75.42%. In addition, the effective contribution of X1 to Y is 11.71% whereas that of X2 to Y is 35.93%. Keywords: Peer group, parents? attention, motivation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research are (1) to find out the implementation of School Operational Grant in SMP Negeri 3 Pracimantoro in the school year of 2013/2014; (2) to understand the factors affecting the effectiveness of the implementation of School Operational Grant in SMP Negeri 3 Pracimantoro in the school year of 2013/2014; (3) to identify constraints and problems faced in the implementation of School Operational Grant in SMP Negeri 3 Pracimantoro in the school year of 2013/2014; and (4) to find out the solution to the problems in the implementation of School Operational Grant in SMP Negeri 3 Pracimantoro in the school year of 2013/2014.Considering the result of research, the following conclusions could be drawn. (1) In the implementation of School Operational Grant in SMP Negeri 3 Pracimantoro, there were some procedures taken by the school: planning, acting, supervising, evaluating, and reporting. (2) The Factors affecting the effectiveness of the implementation of School Operational Grant in SMP Negeri 3 Pracimantoro referred to the School Budget and Expenditure Income Budget (RAPBS) and BOS Technical Instruction (Juknis). (3) The constraints faced in the implementation of School Operational Grant in SMP Negeri 3 Pracimantoro included internal and external ones. Internal constraints included: a) employee expenditure was limited to maximum 20% of total BOS revenue; b) many student activities funded by BOS so that the fund had not been adequate yet; c) BOS supplementary fund revenue has not been adequate for a year need; d) The activities to improve the quality of teacher such as short course, workshop, technical guide, seminar and BOS fund allocation had not been adequate. The external constraints included: a) Building and road maintenance costs were very high because of labile geographical condition; b) weak social economic condition of parents; c) inadequate learning supporting media in classroom; d) low output of National Standardized Semester Final Examination Score for Elementary School. (4) The solution to deal with the problems in the implementation of School Operational Grant in SMP Negeri 3 Pracimantoro consisted of the solution for internal and the one for external constraints. Solutions to internal constraints were: a) percentage employee expenditure in BOS program should be increased; b) the school was allowed to receive voluntary contribution from students? parent; c) BOS supplementary fund was increased; d) the activity of improving the teacher quality was limited to or funded with personal fund from the teacher. The solution to external constraints included: a) DAK or blockgrant was required annually; b) the government should open job opportunities and provide productive economic improvement for the poor; c) there should be a special fund aid for procuring the learning media in classroom; d) there should be an improvement of education quality at Elementary School level.Keywords: Implementation, School Operational Grant

Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of this research are to investigate: 1) the effect of the learning process in school toward student work readiness in the XII Grade of the Department of Office Administration of State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta; 2) To know the effect of field practice work to the student work readiness in the XII Grade of the Department of Office Administration of State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta; 3) the effect of the learning process in school and practicing field work as together to the student work readiness in the XII Grade of the Department of Office Administration of State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta. This research was conducted at State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta and is a survey that is to explain the phenomenon (explanatory research), so this research includes quantitative research. Technique of collecting data used questionnaires technique as the primary data source and documentation studies technique as a secondary data source. Analysis data technique used regression linear multiple analysis, t-test and F-test and the Determination Coefficient. Based on statistical tests was the results of the research are as follows: (1) Test results obtained tcount = 5,185 > ttable = 2,000, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means as individual the variable process of learning in school have an positive and significant effect toward the student work readiness in the XII Grade Of the Department of Office Administration of State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta. (2) Based on the calculation, obtained tcount = 3,495 > ttable = 2,000  then Ho is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. This means as individual variable of practicing field work as together toward the student work readiness in the XII Grade of the Department of Office Administration of State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta. (3) The test results are positive and significant effect of learning process in schools and job training together toward student work readiness in the XII Grade of the Department of Office Administration of State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta when consulted with SPSS tables, known amount of Fstatistik = 20,981. Whereas if consulted with 5% significance value was obtained 0,000 < 0,05, so it can be concluded jointly independent variable (learning process in schools and job training) the affect job readiness student in the XII Grade Of the Department of Office Administration of State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta. Keywords: learning process in schools, job training, job readiness students

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan prestasi belajar pada materi berkomunikasi melalui telepon pada siswa kelas X Administrasi Perkantoran SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono dengan menerapkan metode Bermain Peran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  penerapan model pembelajaran Bermain Peran dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar dan prestasi belajar siswa. Keaktifan siswa pada pratindakan hanya 62,5% dan prestasi siswa rendah yaitu 42,18% siswa yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Peningkatan terjadi pada siklus I. Keaktifan belajar siswa dari pratindakan 62,5% menjadi 68,75%. Prestasi belajar siswa dari pratindakan 42,18% mencapai KKM menjadi 71,87%. Pelaksanaan siklus II keaktifan siswa meningkat sebesar 18,75% dari 68,75% menjadi 87,5% dan prestasi belajar siswa meningkat sebesar 17,13% dari 71,87% menjadi 89% pada siklus II siswa mencapai KKM.. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran bermain peran dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Teknologi Informasi standar kompetensi menerapkan keterampilan komunikasi lisan melalui telepon.

ABSTRACT Mahmud Yunus Setiawan THE EFFECT OF WORK EXPERIENCE AND WORK DISCIPLINE ON THE WORK ACHIEVEMENT OF EMPLOYEES OF AJB BUMI PUTRA 1912 OF THE GROUP INSURANCE BRANCH OFFICE OF SURAKARTA IN 2014. Skripsi: The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta July 2014. The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) whether there is an effect of the work discipline on the work achievement of employees; (2) whether there is an effect of the work experience on the work achievement of employees; and (3) whether there is an effect of the work discipline and the work experience on the work achievement of employees.This research used the quantitative survey method. Its population was all of the employees as many as 76 persons of AJB Bumi Putra 1912 of the Group Insurance Branch Office of Surakarta. The samples of the research consisted of 44 and were taken by using the proportionate random sampling technique. The data of the research were gathered through questionnaire. They were then analyzed by using the multiple regression model of analysis.The results of the research are as follows: 1) There is a significant effect of the work experience on the work achievement of the employees of the company as indicated by the value of correlation coefficient calculation = 0.521 which is greater than the value of r table = 0.297 at the significance level of 5%. 2) There is a significant effect of the work discipline on the work achievement of the employees of the company as shown by the value of correlation coefficient calculation = 0.467 which is greater than the value of r table = 0.297 at the significance level of 5%. 3) There is a simultaneously significant effect of the work experience and the work discipline on the work achievement of the employees of the company as signified by the value of F count = 14.435 which is greater than that of F table = 3.23 at the significance level of 5%. The multiple regression equation of the research is Y = 8.861 + 0.674 X1 + 0.648 X2 meaning that on average the work achievement will increase or decrease as much as 0.674 along with a one-unit increase or decrease in the work experience. In addition, on average the work achievement will increase or decrease as much as 0.648 along with a one-unit increase or decrease in the work discipline. The relative contribution of the work experience variable to the work achievement is 56.72%, and that of the work discipline variable to the work achievement is 43.28%. In addition, the effective contribution of the work experience variable to the work achievement is 23.44%, and that of the work discipline to the work achievement is 17.88%. Keywords: Work experience, work discipline, and work achievement
