Abstract

Restorative justice offers an innovative approach to dealing with children in conflict with the law. Children and teenagers must be protected from various dangerous influences that can cause juvenile delinquency and lead to criminal acts. In Indonesia, crimes are punished based on court decisions. However, if it is done to children, it can have a negative impact on their future development. The Restorative Justice approach in the context of theft allows minor perpetrators to understand the consequences of their behavior for the victim. Apart from that, there is the concept of diversion, namely diversion which takes the form of counseling, education or social work to achieve restorative implementation. Restorative Justice allows children as perpetrators, victims and families to sit together to mediate or deliberate to solve and resolve the problem of the child's act of theft. To create peace results from an agreement between the two parties or by means of affirmation against the perpetrator such as returning goods that have been stolen or providing compensation. The research method used is normative legal research. In this research, the main source used is based on Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System, and uses other literature, for example journals and books related to this research. Restorative-related research can explore the importance of restorative justice in the context of protecting children involved in the legal system. Through a literature review, this research shows that restorative justice not only provides a more humane alternative in handling crimes against minors but also makes a positive contribution to the process of rehabilitation and reintegration of children into society. Apart from that, it is certainly better than settling through court.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of service quality and customer satisfaction on customerloyalty at JNT Express Batam branch. The population to be studied are customers who have used the JNTExpress goods delivery service at the Tanjung Piayu branch in August 2023, totaling 60,203 customers. Thesampling technique can be used using the Slovin formula which has produced 397 respondents. The dataanalysis process uses a multiple linear regression approach, which includes testing data quality tests,classical assumption tests, influence tests and hypothesis tests. The results of multiple linear regressionanalysis show that service quality has an influence of 28.4% on customer loyalty. Customer satisfaction hasan influence of 35.0% on customer loyalty. Findings from the coefficient of determination (R2) show thatoverall, service quality and customer satisfaction can explain 65.1% of the variation in customer loyalty. Inaddition, the t test and F test show that both service quality and customer satisfaction have a positive andsignificant influence partially or simultaneously on customer loyalty at JNT Express Batam branch

Abstract

This research examines the existence of criminal justice in providing physical, legal and psychological protection to victim witnesses in criminal cases. The main challenges faced by victim witnesses, including threats, intimidation, and other obstacles, are the focus of this research. The criminal justice system must address this challenge seriously through effective witness protection programs, strict law enforcement against perpetrators of threats, and the provision of adequate psychological support and legal aid. Reforms in the broader criminal justice process also need to be considered to improve justice and protection for victim witnesses. Understanding this issue is important in efforts to maintain the integrity of the legal system and provide better protection for individuals involved in the criminal justice process.   Keywords: existence of criminal justice, victim witness protection, threats, intimidation, obstacles, witness protection program, criminal justice reform.

Abstract

This research explores the legal protection for victims of acts of violence in Indonesia, with a focus on the role of existing legal policies and regulations. Although a legal framework has been established to address violence and protect victims, significant challenges continue to hinder the effectiveness of the victim protection system in the context of violence. This study employs qualitative methods, including interviews and document analysis, to delve into the issues faced by victims and evaluate the applicable policies and regulations. The research results identify the need for increased public awareness of victims' rights, improved law enforcement, and enhanced accessibility to legal assistance and support services. With these measures, it is expected that the victim protection system for acts of violence in Indonesia can be improved, ensuring better protection of victims' rights and interests.   Keywords: Legal protection, victims of acts of violence, legal policies, legal regulations, Indonesia..

Abstract

Adolescents are among the most widely associated with technological development. Adolescence becomes a time when a person who is on a violent rampage searches for their identity and their experiences. It also leads to where many teenagers easily follow things done by others such as forming a good self-image, they want to be admired, they want to gain recognition by the public, and they want to show their existence through the experiences they feel. It's the same with the 17 Batam Negeri High School students who have an Instagram account. For some students, not only using Instagram as a medium to share information and communications, but also making Instagram a place to share experiences and a place to complain. There is even one student who has 2 Instagram accounts. The purpose of this study is to analyze and know the experiences, shapes, patterns, activities, and how Frontstage and Backstage users second account on 17 Batam State High School students. This study uses qualitative methods with phenomenological approaches, which are based on a person's subjective or phenomenological experience and use Dramatic analysis (as a theory). The results of this study are how communication experiences, forms and patterns of communication, communication activities, as well as Front stage and Back stage on users of 17 Batam State High School students' seccond accounts.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the effect of ROA, EPS, and CR on Stock Price for the period 2019 – second quarter of 2023. The study tested nine manufacturing companies listed on the LQ45 index during the period 2019 - the second quarter of 2023. Data collection techniques in this study use documentation studies and literature studies with purposive sampling techniques as sampling techniques. The type of data used is secondary data in the form of financial statements obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange website. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis and uses classical assumption tests including normality tests, multicollinearity tests, autocorrelation tests, and heteroscedasticity tests. Other tests used in this study are multiple linear regression tests and hypothesis tests using t tests (partial tests), f tests (simultaneous tests), and multiple coefficients of determination with the help of the SPSS program version 26. The conclusion in this study is that the t test states that partially EPS (Earning Per Share) affects stock price while ROA (Return On Assets) and CR (Current Ratio) do not affect stock price partially and based on test f simultaneously the variables ROA, EPS, and CR affect stock price

Abstract

The rapid advancement of internet technology has had a profound impact on businesses, particularly in termsof the convenience of online shopping. However, various challenges related to product quality, reviews, andtrust have emerged in this context. This research aimed to examine the influence of product quality, reviews,and trust on purchasing decisions within Shopee, an online marketplace. The researchers employed aquantitative research method, specifically an inferential approach, to analyze the relationship between variablesthrough hypothesis testing. A total of 204 respondents participated in the study, and data was collected throughonline questionnaires employing a Likert scale. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression. Fromthe test results, the t value of the product quality variable countsvariable X1 is 5.188 > t table (1.972) or thesignificance value of the motivation variable is 0.000 < 0.05, so the hypothesis is accepted. The findings revealeda positive and significant impact of product quality, product reviews, and trust on purchasing decisions withinShopee in Batam City

Abstract

Swiss-Bell Harbour Bay Batam Hotel, impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, undergoes a study aiming to unveil its post-pandemic image maintenance strategy. With qualitative methods, the research explores inhibiting and supporting factors influencing the hotel's public relations efforts. Using Cutlip, Center, and Broom's public relations strategies, the study employs interviews, documentation, observation, and literature studies for data collection. Public Relations adopts various tactics, emphasizing technological utilization, regular market analysis, events, CSR initiatives, and a consistent commitment to superior service quality. However, challenges persist, notably in employee turnover and reduced foreign guest visits post-COVID-19. Conversely, supporting factors include fostering a pleasant work environment, leveraging word-of-mouth marketing, and forming collaborations with other hotels. In essence, Swiss-Bell Harbour Bay Batam Hotel's post-pandemic image maintenance strategy hinges on technology, market awareness, and quality service, with challenges arising from employee turnover and diminished international guests countered by a positive workplace environment, effective marketing, and strategic partnerships.

Abstract

The movie "Nanti Kita Cerita tentang Hari" (2020) tells the story of conflict in a family, which reflects a commonsituation that often occurs in society. Although many want a harmonious family, in reality every family has its ownconflicts. This research aims to understand the meaning of family conflict with a descriptive qualitative approachand uses Charless Sanders Pierce theory. The data collection method uses observation, documentation, andliterature study, with the object of research focusing on the movie "Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini". The resultsof the study identified two types of family conflicts, namely conflicts that can be resolved and conflicts that aresustainable.

Abstract

In this research, the data collection method was carried out through three main techniques, namely observation, literature study, and documentation regarding news related to News Construction of the Democratic Party's Response to the Anies – Muhaimin Duet in the 2024 Presidential Election on the tvonenews.com and cnnindonesia.com sites. Research It adopts a qualitative research method, which is in accordance with Bogdan and Taylor's definition explained by Moleong. From the results of the framing analysis, it can be seen that tvonenews.com's news construction regarding the Democratic Party's response to the Anies-Muhaimin duet in the 2024 presidential election tends to be objective. This is demonstrated by the four framing analysis structures created by Zhongdang Pan and Kosicki, which show balance in the presentation of news data. Meanwhile, the media cnnindonesia.com is less objective, because cnnindonesia.com speaks more from the perspective of the Chairman of the Democratic Party Assembly, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. According to tvonenews.com and cnnindonesia.com, this media reality construction depicts that the Democratic Party is disappointed because Anies Baswedan left AHY, who had previously been approved to be the presidential and vice presidential candidate
