Abstract

This study explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in personalized learning environments, focusing on its impact on learner engagement, motivation, equity in education, and the ethical concerns surrounding its adoption. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis from three educational institutions that implemented AI-driven personalized learning platforms. The findings reveal that AI enhances learner engagement by providing tailored learning experiences, fostering intrinsic motivation, and promoting autonomy. However, challenges related to equity emerged, particularly concerning access to technology and the potential for widening educational disparities. Ethical concerns, such as algorithmic bias and privacy issues, were also highlighted, emphasizing the need for careful consideration when adopting AI systems in education. Teachers and administrators expressed a mixed perception, with some viewing AI as a transformative tool for individualized instruction, while others raised concerns about its potential to replace traditional teaching methods. This study contributes to the growing body of literature on AI in education by addressing gaps related to its practical application, ethical implications, and the varying perceptions of stakeholders. The findings suggest that while AI offers significant potential for personalized learning, its implementation must be approached cautiously, ensuring equitable access and ethical safeguards.

Abstract

This study seeks to establish how parents influence students’ academic achievement as well as the efficiency of school administration with the purpose of narrowing the gaps in the current literature concerning both the mediators of the relationships between parental engagement and results, as well as the moderating variables. Using a quantitative research strategy, a sampling of 500 parents, educators and school officials completed standardized questionnaires. The findings describe a positive relationship between parental involvement and students’ academic achievement and the perception of the school’s administration efficiency. In more detail, enhanced parental involvement was connected with increased students’ performance and effective school management. The study also reveals that parental involvement affects the performance of students directly controlling all other factors including school administration. This draws attention to the genuine and significant contribution of parental involvement in improving student performance which has not been given much emphasis in prior research chiefly couched in general benefits. The study also confirms that the role of parental involvement is to provide insulation to academic performance since the social economic inequalities are likely to have negative effects on the performance of the student. This work also supports context-based intervention approaches that successfully promote appropriate parental involvement efforts; in the cultures or regions where parents of the learners have language barriers or other forms of hardship. In this way, the research provides important knowledge for educators, policymakers and researchers targeting at increasing educational equity and school effectiveness.

Abstract

A research project investigates how Makassar primary schools integrate local cultural elements into their teaching practices and affects the student participation level as well as their learning outcomes and cultural skills acquisition. The research utilized a qualitative research design through teacher interviews and classroom observation sessions to determine how local culture and language along with practices get integrated into curricular content. The concept of culturally relevant teaching proves effective in student engagement as well as representing an essential element for social relationship development among generations. Restrictions emerged regarding proper integration of cultural material into national educational requirements while experts judged that additional backing along with teacher training would be vital. The present study delivers critical knowledge regarding culturally responsive education by examining an older system from a non-Western context to support teachers and educational administrators

Abstract

This is a qualitative research study seeking to determine how leadership in schools can help in motivating teachers as well as improve on students’ performance. A prospective quantitative study is carried out in Penajam to compare the two research questions on how participatory and transformational leadership affects teacher engagement and its relation to the students’ outcomes. Conducting interviews with the teachers, the work confirms that-being receptive and open to all, the leaders undoubtedly enhance the motivation level of teachers and as a result – the levels of classroom activity, the creativity in approaching the tasks, and the achievements of students are also raised. On the other hand, autocratic leadership and other similar leadership practices were seen to have negative impacts on the motivation of the teachers and thus the students’ performance. The study brings into focus that teacher motivation, backed up by good leadership improves school climate, reduces lumpenism and enhances academic performance. Of particular relevance in the study is the need to maintain leadership support, proper resource provision and organizational support to keep the teachers motivated as well as to support long-term students’ outcomes. The findings of this study may be useful for school leaders as well as policymakers to pay timely attention towards the necessity of better leadership approach in order to improve education.

Abstract

This research aims at analyzing the effects of vocational training on young employee in the South Sulawesi province concerning curriculum comprehensiveness, teachers’ performance, economic constraints and interaction with organizations. This study employs a qualitative cross sectional survey in which a group of students, employers and educators were interviewed to get an understanding of the efficiency of the vocational training and its impact on employment opportunities. The study evidences a clear disconnect in the vocational curricula to meet the market and career requirements; the existing courses neglect to prepare the students for many skills and competencies that are expected of them in the job market. Similarly, socio economic barriers including financial difficulties as well as the fact that some students have to work in order to take care of their families were revealed to be significant barriers to vocational education. The study also acknowledges extensive cooperation with the industries and undertaking of apprentice programs to improve on the practical skills and employability. Solutions include modifications in curricula to reflect the current market demand, the incorporation of soft skills and computer literacy as whistle Gowons, extending the network of company relations, and the change of policies that hinder the learners’ chances and boost the development of the region. It is important to note that these findings will enhance the understanding of vocational education in the context of the study area that is South Sulawesi and could be relevant for enhancing the quality of vocational education and employment chances.
