Abstract

The purposes of this study are to (1) increase the interest of class X TPBO B SMK Negeri 4 Sukoharjo at academic year 2014/2015 on the subject of Welding and, (2) increase the student learning outcomes of class X TPBO B SMK Negeri 4 Sukoharjo at academic year 2014/2015 on the subjects of Welding by using video media learning. This classroom action research consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, running action, observation, and reflection. The research subject were students of class X TPBO B SMK Negeri 4 Sukoharjo at academic year 2014/2015. The source of data derived from the productive teacher, the head of the administration and students of class X TPBO B SMK Negeri 4 Sukoharjo obtained through observation, documentation, interview and test. The data analysis technique used was comparative descriptive analysis. The results of the research showed that the video media learning can increased student interest from the first cycle of 73.03% to 81.81% in the second cycle. Student learning outcomes of prasiklus also increased by 45.45% to 72.72% in the first cycle and 87.87% in the second cycle. The conclusion of this research was the application of video media learning can increased learning interest and student learning outcomes in subject welding class X SMK TPBO B 4 Sukoharjo at academic year 2014/2015.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were: (1) Determine the effect of adding the element magnesium (Mg) in the aluminium foundry on Impact strength. (2) Determine the effect of the addition of the element magnesium (Mg) in the aluminium foundry on the level of hardness. (3) Determine the influence of the addition of the element magnesium (Mg) in the aluminium foundry to microstructure. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. This method is implemented by providing independent variables intentionally to the object of study to know the effect on the dependent variable research sample used is adding 2% and 5% of magnesium .Each specimen number 3 pieces of samples. Data obtained from the results of research put into the table, and displayed in graph form and then analyzed. Based on the results of this study concluded that: (1) the more elements of magnesium (Mg) are added, the value of impact strength aluminium casting result is increasing. (2), the more the element magnesium (Mg) are added to the value of the results of casting aluminium hardness is increasing. (3) the more the element magnesium (Mg) are added to the results of casting aluminium grain size get smaller.

Abstract

The results of research are as follows: 1) In the aluminum pipe heating the lowest level of (CO) was 0.149 (% vol) at  the fuel blend of 70% premium and 30% ethanol, and the fuel temperature following heating was 62.1 °C meaning that the level of (CO) declines below the standard condition without the fuel heating treatment. 2) In the stainless steel pipe heating, the lowest level of (CO) was 0.158 (% vol) at  the fuel blend of 70% premium and 30% ethanol and the fuel temperature following the heating was 62.1 °C, indicating that the  level of (CO) declines below the standard condition without the fuel heating treatment. 3) In the copper pipe heating, the lowest level of (CO) was 0.159 (% vol) at  the fuel blend of 70% premium and 30% ethanol with the fuel temperature following the heating was 61.7 °C, meaning that the level of (CO) declines below the standard condition without the fuel heating treatment.  4) In the aluminum pipe heating, the lowest level of (HC) was 215 (ppm vol) at the fuel blend of 100% premium, and the fuel temperature following the heating was 54.1 °C meaning that level of (HC) is above the standard condition without the fuel heating treatment. 5) In a stainless steel pipe heating, the lowest  level of (HC) was 136 (ppm vol) at the fuel blend of 95% premium and 5% ethanol, and the fuel temperature following the heating was 54.1 °C, meaning that the level of (HC)  declines below the standard condition without the fuel heating treatment. 6) In the copper pipe heating, the lowest level of (HC) was 100 (ppm vol) at fuel blend of 95% premium and 5% ethanol, and the fuel temperature following the heating was 61.2 °C, meaning that the level of (HC) declines below the standard condition without fuel heating treatment.

Abstract

The aim of this research is improving learning motivation and the result in practice learning at machining practice lesson of students at class XI M2 Vocational High School PGRI 1 Surakarta in academic year 2014/2015. The effort is applied design of work preparation by the students. This research is classroom action research. This research conducted on two cycles with four phases, includes: planning; doing; assessment; and reflection. The subject of this research is all of student class XI M2 Vocational High School PGRI 1 Surakarta in academic year 2014/2015 as many as 24 students. This research did by collaboration between researcher, teacher and students. The data of research were collected through observation, documentation, interview and test. The instrument validated with content, questionnaire and test validity, using expert judgment technique. Data analyzed by comparative descriptive analysis and critical analysis. The result show that the design of work preparation could improve the learning motivation and the result of lathe machine practice. In cycle I, the percentage attainment of student learning motivation is 71,8% and the average of the student practice record is 74,79 with the percentage of students to get score upper of minimum learning completeness criterion is 70,83%. In cycle II, the percentange attainment of student learning motivation is 85,14% with the average is 84,07 with the percentage of students to get score upper of minimum learning completeness criterion is 100%.
