Abstract

This initiative aimed to educate project staff, including local inhabitants of the Karanganyar region, about HIV/AIDS within the project context and strategies for its prevention and management. This community service contributes to its scientific domain, specifically the K3 Project, to assist the K3 programme. In 2021, there were 72 HIV cases reported in the Karanganyar district, with 53 cases in men and 19 cases in women. Given the significant prevalence of HIV in this area, awareness initiatives about HIV/AIDS are conducted near the dam project to clarify prevention activities, particularly targeting local project personnel. We conduct community service initiatives transparently within the project framework to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS, its characteristics, and preventive measures. Additionally, we facilitate a Q&A session with project personnel about HIV/AIDS. The outcome of implementing and periodically assessing community service initiatives involves distributing questionnaires following focus group discussions to ascertain the efficacy of HIV/AIDS awareness activities within the project context

Abstract

Programs developed or established by high school education levels to cultivate young entrepreneurs that comprehend entrepreneurship and possess the character and mindset of an entrepreneur. Moreover, the issue stemming from the establishment of this program is the deficiency of qualified educators who comprehend and can effectively implement entrepreneurship education. This issue presents universities with opportunities to actively contribute to the development of the younger generation's entrepreneurial character and mindset while also fostering a comprehensive and authentic understanding of entrepreneurship through community service. This training and mentorship will occur 14 times over the 7-month learning period. Two training sessions will be conducted at the conclusion of each week every month. This service will provide students with new insights for generating company ideas, considering multiple dimensions, including local wisdom, marketing, and customer perspectives. Furthermore, we have equipped students with the expertise to administer market analysis questionnaires, with the goal of understanding customer behavior in relation to their business concepts

Abstract

This region holds considerable attraction for tourists. The extensive expansion of tourist attractions renders this hamlet susceptible to waterlogging during the rainy season, attributable to insufficient water infiltration, resulting in frequent occurrences of waterlogging. The community also encounters the issue of inadequate management of spring water supplies. The approach we proposed involved the implementation of infiltration wells. This well serves as a receptacle for rainfall that either descends or flows from upstream and is then collected into a reservoir (SPAH). The Rainwater Harvesting System (SPAH) is a method for utilizing rainwater for everyday requirements. The fundamental premise is that the water entering the infiltration well is channeled to the reservoir. This initiative involves the establishment of infiltration wells to facilitate the acquisition of clean water for communities while mitigating concerns of waterlogging during the rainy season. We aim to assist the community by providing a complimentary clean water supply.

Abstract

Aims to teach and prepare farming communities to use natural resources, particularly household vegetable and fruit waste that hasn't been used effectively, by applying fermentation technology, which is still unfamiliar to many, to turn it into more useful and eco-friendly products using effective microorganisms. So far, the community has not gotten any intense attention or understanding about discovering alternate solutions that can be applied to trash, notably domestic organic waste. Bokashi fertiliser is an organic fertiliser created from the fermentation of organic resources, such as compost, and utilises microorganisms like bacteria or fermenting fungus. The outcome is a solid fertiliser that includes more nutrients, both macro and micro, which are ready to be taken by plant roots. The purpose of the fertiliser activity is to provide training and build community skills in processing organic materials from home garbage. The programme also seeks to introduce the community to fermentation technology for the disposal of organic waste. The effort empowers the community, particularly farmers, to cultivate an inventive mentality in solving environmental concerns, which covers activities such as mentoring, group involvement, and innovation. The results of this analysis have a favourable impact on the knowledge and abilities of the farming community regarding the use of domestic organic waste. The findings of the evaluation of the questionnaire suggested that participants felt the benefits of the activity, exhibited curiosity, received new knowledge, and were willing to implement it in their daily life
