Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the digital economy in improving financial inclusion in Indonesia, as well as the challenges and opportunities associated with its implementation. Along with the rapid development of information and communication technology, the digital economy sector, particularly digital financial services or fintech, has opened access to finance for previously marginalized communities, such as those living in remote areas, MSMEs, and low-income groups. This study uses a systematic literature review approach to explore the various factors influencing the expansion of the digital economy in Indonesia, including government policies, existing regulations, and their impact on improving financial literacy. The findings show that while the digital economy has great potential to improve financial inclusion, there are significant barriers, such as inequality in internet access between urban and rural areas, regulatory challenges, and issues related to cybersecurity and personal data protection. To optimize the benefits of the digital economy, a collaborative role between the government, private sector and society is needed to overcome these barriers and develop policies that support inclusive and safe growth of the digital economy. This research provides recommendations to improve digital infrastructure, strengthen digital literacy, and create adaptive regulations to ensure that all levels of society can equally benefit from the digital economy

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of the digital economy on financial inclusion in Indonesia and analyze the challenges faced in its implementation. In recent years, the rapid development of digital technology has opened up great opportunities to expand access to financial services in Indonesia, especially for people who were previously unreached by the traditional banking system. However, despite significant progress, there are still various obstacles that hinder the achievement of optimal financial inclusion, such as the digital divide, low financial literacy, and data security issues. This research uses a qualitative and quantitative approach by analyzing data from various sources, including surveys of digital financial service users, government reports, and case studies of digital financial inclusion policy implementation. The results show that the digital economy has great potential to improve financial inclusion, but the main challenges lie in the technology access gap, socio-economic inequality, and the need to strengthen data protection and transaction security regulations. Based on these findings, this study provides policy recommendations involving digital infrastructure upgrades, digital financial literacy education, and strengthened security regulations to support the achievement of greater financial inclusion in Indonesia. It also suggests further studies to understand the long-term impact of the digital economy on reducing social and economic inequality and the effectiveness of existing policies

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of agricultural modernization on food security and economic growth in Indonesia. Agricultural modernization, which includes the application of new technologies, improved irrigation systems, and more efficient use of fertilizers and pesticides, is believed to increase agricultural output and strengthen food security. However, its impact on the regional and national economy is still a topic that requires in-depth study. This study uses quantitative methods with regression analysis to measure the relationship between agricultural modernization and food security and economic growth variables. The data used includes statistics on agricultural production, food consumption levels, and regional economic indicators over the past 10-year period. The results show that agricultural modernization has a significant positive impact on food security, especially in increasing food productivity and reducing dependence on imports. In addition, it has also contributed to economic growth, by increasing farmers' income and creating jobs in the agricultural sector. However, the study also found challenges in the uneven application of technology across regions, which could widen economic disparities between regions. Therefore, policies that support technology extension and equitable access to agricultural modernization are needed to maximize its benefits

Abstract

Structural transformation is an important process in the economic development of developing countries, characterized by the shift of labor from the traditional sector to the modern sector. This article analyzes how structural transformation affects the quality of employment, focusing on indicators of work formality, wages, social security, and productivity. Based on panel data from several developing countries between 2000 and 2022, it is found that despite a large shift of labor to the industrial and service sectors, improvements in employment quality do not always follow. Institutional factors, education, and labor policies are key in ensuring that structural transformation yields inclusive benefits

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) scores on firm performance. Corporate performance is measured through the ratio of total asset turnover. The data used is historical annual data for 5 years from companies listed in the Sri-Kehati index. The method used in this research is regression analysis with a quantitative approach, where secondary data for the 2019-2023 period is obtained from various databases such as Refinitiv Eikon, RTI Business, Sustainalytics, and MSCI ESG Ratings. The results show that there is a negative relationship between ESG scores and total asset turnover, indicating that an increase in ESG scores correlates with a decrease in efficiency in the utilization of company assets
