Abstract

The use of teaching aids in learning is very important because it becomes the basis for students to better understand the concept of abstract thinking. Props are certain objects that are intentionally made, collected, and arranged that are used to help instill or present mathematical concepts. One of the things about integer operations is integer subtraction. Integer math material, especially integer subtraction, needs to be taught to elementary school students, as seen after this pandemic, elementary school students have difficulty reducing integers. So we from the P2M team want to make it easier for these elementary students to use integers by using the arithmetic operations module. the concept of arithmetic operations (addition and subtraction) improves the quality of learning in terms of the use of media so that mathematics material becomes more concrete, and the implementation of training develops innovative learning

Abstract

Yapen Regency is administratively included in the Province of Papua and has a diversity of ethnicities, races and religions. Facing the existing diversity, a wise and fair way is needed, namely religious moderation, religious moderation is the middle way in dealing with existing differences. Muhammadiyah as one of the religious community organizations based on Islam was present in Yapen in 2001 with the establishment of the Yapen Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PDM), religious moderation carried out by PDM Yapen through educational institutions and became the spearhead of Muhammadiyah propaganda. Muhammadiyah Serui Middle School was the beginning of PDM Yapen's struggle in implementing the values of religious moderation in Yapen and becoming a laboratory of religious moderation to spread diversity values, ideas of diversity, and messages of humanity.

Abstract

The purpose of the activity is to find out the involvement of students and alumni in quality control of asphalt concrete work. The study method is through site visits, observing work documents and providing work quality control material. The existence of Kerra Practicing students in the field has helped a lot in checking the volume of work and checking the quality. Asphalt concrete test results on the Kokap-Pripih Road Section Improvement project in Kulonprogo Regency have a density of asphalt concrete AC-WC 98.82% > 98% (meet the requirements), the degree of density of asphalt concrete AC-BC 99.12% > 98% (meet the requirements ). The asphalt content of ACWC is 5.6%, the asphalt content of ACBC asphalt is 5.5%. Examination of the thickness at 34 points of the core drill showed that the average thickness of the ACBC layer was 6.17 cm > 6.0 cm (meet the requirements) and the average thickness of the ACWC layer was 4.20 cm (meets the requirements). As a recommendation for construction activities to comply with the construction safety management system by wearing personal protective equipment and work protective equipment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is first, to examine in depth the function of film as a communication medium that describes the values, norms, culture, and beliefs of society. Second, to find out the challenges and obstacles as well as the solidarity experienced by minority Muslims in the film Blinded by The Light. This qualitative analysis study is focused on the film Blinded by The Light by Gurinder Chada which was released on 27 August 2019 using cultural studies aimed at observing the culture in this film and secondary data obtained through articles, news and websites. This film tells about the life of Javed as the main character with his family who are immigrants from Pakistan and live in Luton, England. The results of this study found the challenges and obstacles received by Javed, his family, community, and other minorities from non-physical to physical forms internally Javed experienced an identity crisis and family problems, namely his authoritarian and old-fashioned father and externally, namely discrimination in the form of threats to violence committed both individually and in groups as perpetrated by the National Front. Social solidarity was built by Javed and his group both internally, namely with fellow immigrants from Pakistan, and externally with British people who supported their cause and with groups that opposed the National Front, namely the Anti-National Front group. This social solidarity is aimed at seeking justice and equality which they find difficult to obtain as a minority.

Abstract

Training to improve reading, writing and arithmetic skills for the elderly is located at the Sabilunnajah Elderly Islamic Boarding School, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Province. The problems of the elderly at the Sabilunnajah Islamic Boarding School include some elderly who do not graduate from elementary school, the elderly easily forget and do not understand the material, the limitations of the ustadz/ustadzah Pondok, there being no basic material for reading, writing and arithmetic. The aim of the training is to improve reading, writing and arithmetic skills for the elderly. Implementation of training a total of 8 times. The elderly students who took part in the training activities were 38 students. The results of the training show that there is an increase in reading, writing and arithmetic skills, namely 35%. Before the training, the average score for reading, writing, and arithmetic was 60%. After training increased to 95%.
