Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of economic growth, the open unemployment rate, the labor force participation rate, and the average years of schooling on the Human Development Index in Gresik Regency from 2004 to 2023. Secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that, partially, the average years of schooling and the labor force participation rate have a positive and significant effect on the Human Development Index. In contrast, economic growth and the open unemployment rate do not show a significant effect. However, simultaneously, all four independent variables significantly influence the Human Development Index. This indicates the importance of investing in education and increasing productive labor force participation in sustainable human development efforts. Based on this, it is recommended that the Gresik Regency government prioritize policies that support improving the quality of education, job training, and creating quality jobs. Furthermore, cross-sector collaboration is needed to ensure that economic growth directly impacts community welfare by reducing unemployment and increasing human resource capacity.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research with the aim of determining the impact of human resource development on employee performance at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency. The variables used are human resource development and employee performance using a data collection method by distributing questionnaires to 86 employees who were used as research samples. The collection technique used saturated sampling. The data analysis methods used in this study were validity tests, reliability tests, simple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient tests, determination coefficient tests, and t-tests. The results of this study indicate that human resource development and employee performance have a significant impact on employee performance. The Population and Civil Registration Office of Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency is expected to improve employee performance based on the results of research that has been conducted showing that the indicator "My coworkers can prioritize their tasks" shows the lowest value of the other indicator statements. Therefore, it is recommended that the Population and Civil Registration Office of Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency ensure that each individual is able to understand the priority scale of work that must be completed. In addition, time management training should be implemented to create a more productive work environment.

Abstract

Stingless bee honey agribusiness supports sustainable rural development and food security. Small-scale producers in Indonesia face challenges such as limited production capacity, weak branding, and low technological adoption. These barriers reduce their competitiveness in a rapidly expanding natural and functional food product market. This study aims to formulate strategies to enhance the competitiveness of stingless bee honey agribusiness through marketing innovation and product downstreaming in Lempake Village, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. Using a descriptive qualitative approach supported by SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis, this research identifies key internal and external factors influencing business performance. The results show that the kelulut honey agribusiness is positioned in the progressive strategic quadrant (Quadrant I), with strong internal resources and favourable market opportunities. The main strengths lie in high product quality, sustainable local resources, and active farmer institutions, while weaknesses include limited technological capacity and low digital marketing literacy. Opportunities arise from the increasing demand for natural products and government support for downstreaming, whereas threats stem from market competition and fluctuating supply conditions. Strategic recommendations include strengthening digital branding, enhancing post-harvest and processing technology, fostering institutional collaboration, and promoting product diversification to increase added value. These strategies are expected to reinforce local competitiveness, promote sustainable agribusiness growth, and contribute to Indonesia’s long-term food security.

Abstract

This study aims to comparatively analyze the dynamics of Islamic economic institutions in Pakistan and the United Kingdom, focusing on evaluating major challenges and formulating adaptive and innovative institutional strengthening strategies to promote stability and inclusion in Islamic finance, while providing applicative reflections for sustainable economic development in Indonesia. The research employs a qualitative approach with comparative and descriptive study design, involving data collection through literature review and thematic content analysis to ensure validity through triangulation. Key findings reveal that in Pakistan, Islamic economic institutions develop through low-risk Sharia mutual funds and Islamic banking with strong liquidity but face challenges of low profitability due to non-performing loans and limited instruments; whereas in the UK, regulatory support and product innovations like sukuk drive growth, despite challenges in public literacy and infrastructure. The interpretation of results emphasizes integrating regulatory strengthening, product innovation, and literacy enhancement as primary strategies, concluding that this comparative model can serve as a foundation for developing Islamic economics in Indonesia that supports sustainable, inclusive, and socially-environmentally oriented MSMEs.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of Gold Ownership Financing (PKE), specifically the 'Solusi Emas Hijrah' product by Bank Muamalat KCP Parepare. It focuses on the dual akad (contract) structure of Murabahah Tanpa Wakalah (cost-plus sale without agency) and Rahn (pawn/collateral), as well as Sharia compliance and regional operational risk mitigation. The background problem arises from the tension between the demand for installment-based gold investment and the classic Fiqh Muamalah principle requiring spot (cash) transactions for gold sales (yadan bi yadin). The main findings indicate that the Solusi Emas Hijrah product is normatively compliant, achieved through fixing the total sale price over the financing tenor of up to 120 months (ensuring there is no riba al-nasi’ah or deferred interest), and the mandatory pledging of the 24-karat gold through the Rahn contract, where itis stored by the bank until the financing is settled. The pledged gold must be stored centrally in the Head Office/Main Branch Treasury (Khasanah Kantor Pusat/KCU), not at KCP Parepare, due to the Sub-Branch Office's (KCP) infrastructure limitations. This centralization is effective in mitigating physical security and credit risk, where late payment fines are allocated to the Charity Fund (Dana Kebajikan), but simultaneously increases operational risk related to the logistics and chain of custody of assets at KCP Parepare.
