Abstract

Writing skills are one of the essential basic competencies in developing students’ communication abilities, creativity, and critical thinking. However, observations show that many seventh-grade students struggle to write short stories in a systematic and engaging manner due to low motivation, limited vocabulary, and less interactive teaching methods. This study aims to improve the short story writing skills of seventh-grade students through the application of the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The research was conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages, involving 30 students as research subjects. Data were collected through writing tests, observation sheets, motivation questionnaires, and field notes, then analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results revealed an increase in the average writing score from 66.7 to 81.2 after the intervention, with the paired t-test results (t = 93.48; p < 0.001) indicating a statistically significant difference. These findings demonstrate that the classroom action method is effective in enhancing students’ writing skills, learning motivation, and active participation. The study recommends implementing interactive, reflective, and collaborative learning strategies to improve the quality of writing instruction in junior high schools.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital communication technologies has transformed how individuals interact and build communities online. This study aims to analyze and synthesize previous research on digital social network modeling as a framework for predicting interaction and solidarity within online communities. Using a literature review approach, this research examines studies published between 2012 and 2025 that focus on social network modeling, online interaction analysis, and digital solidarity prediction. The findings reveal that integrating structural data, content, affective factors, and community evolution provides a comprehensive understanding of online social dynamics. Key variables influencing digital solidarity include member engagement, mutual trust, information flow, and the quality of interpersonal relationships. Furthermore, predictive models based on social network analysis (SNA) have proven effective in identifying changes in interaction patterns and assessing the strength of social bonds within digital environments. This study concludes that digital social network modeling serves as an essential tool for strengthening online community management strategies, fostering inclusivity, cohesion, and productivity in the era of Society 5.0.

Abstract

. Customary law serves as an essential social instrument in the lives of rural communities in Indonesia, functioning not only as a set of traditional norms but also as a mechanism for conflict resolution, cultural preservation, and the strengthening of social harmony. This study aims to analyze the role of customary law in maintaining social harmony within village communities through a literature review approach. Data were collected from scientific journals, books, research reports, and official publications from customary and governmental institutions published between 2007 and 2025. The analysis was conducted descriptively and qualitatively by synthesizing findings based on key themes such as the values of customary law, mechanisms of conflict resolution, harmonization between customary and national law, and its impact on social harmony. The findings indicate that customary law effectively resolves conflicts through deliberation, reconciliation, and customary sanctions, while also preserving cultural identity and reinforcing community cohesion. However, modernization and the integration of national law present challenges to its implementation. Harmonization between customary and formal legal systems is therefore crucial to maintaining the relevance of customary law while supporting social and cultural development. This study affirms that customary law remains a vital pillar in fostering harmonious, just, and culturally rooted village communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between communication-based health service policies and the optimization of stunting prevention services at Puskesmas Kosiwo, Yapen Islands Regency, Papua Province. The research employed an observational approach with a cross-sectional design involving 41 health workers selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the chi-square test at a significance level of ? = 0.05. The results showed a significant relationship between communication-based health service policies and the optimization of stunting prevention services (p = 0.001). Health workers who applied active communication-based service policies achieved better optimization of stunting prevention efforts compared to those with passive approaches. The findings highlight that effective communication encompassing nutrition education, maternal counseling, interpersonal communication, intersectoral coordination, and media utilization plays a crucial role in improving the success of stunting prevention programs. Strengthening communication-oriented health policies is therefore essential to enhance service performance and accelerate stunting reduction efforts, especially in primary health care settings within remote regions such as Papua.
