Abstract

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is a condition where the urinary tract is infected by pathogens, resulting in the presence of bacteria in the urine produced. The Indonesian Ministry of Health estimates that there are 90-100 cases of UTI per 100,000 population per year, or approximately 180,000 new cases per year. The incidence of UTI can be influenced by various factors, such as gender, age, urinary retention habits, genital hygiene, behavior, and kidney stone disease.: To provide nursing care to clients with Urinary Tract Infections with acute pain problems to reduce complaints and improve comfort. This is a case study using a nursing process approach, including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and physical examinations, at the Regional General Hospital. The assessment showed abdominal pain and headache (scale 5/10), nausea, and decreased appetite. The main interventions included pain management (non-pharmacological therapy and deep breathing therapy), dietary education, and medication administration according to collaboration. Evaluation after 24 hours showed a decrease in pain (scale 2/10) and an increase in nutritional intake. Nursing care based on pain management and education is effective in reducing symptoms of Urinary Tract Infections. Long-term monitoring is necessary to prevent recurrence.

Abstract

Malnutrition remains one of the leading causes of child morbidity and mortality, particularly during the first five years of life. Inappropriate infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices contribute significantly to the high prevalence of stunting in Indonesia. This study aimed to describe the knowledge of mothers of stunted toddlers regarding IYCF in Tatui Village, working area of Kosiwo Public Health Center, Yapen Islands Regency. The study employed a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 45 mothers of stunted toddlers, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire developed based on WHO and Ministry of Health guidelines. The results showed that most respondents had low knowledge about IYCF before the educational intervention but demonstrated a substantial improvement afterward. The findings indicate that nutrition education plays a crucial role in enhancing mothers’ understanding of appropriate feeding practices, including exclusive breastfeeding, complementary feeding, and balanced nutrition. Strengthening community-based nutrition education programs is essential to empower mothers and support stunting prevention efforts in Yapen Islands Regency.

Abstract

This study explores the role of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) as a foundational basis for adolescent behavior in Central Lombok. Adolescence is a critical developmental stage where individuals begin to form moral values, identity, and behavior. Islamic Religious Education plays an essential role in guiding adolescents to develop ethical awareness, discipline, and responsibility according to Islamic principles. This descriptive study involved 65 adolescents in Central Lombok, with data collected through a Google Form questionnaire focusing on knowledge of Islamic teachings and behavioral practices. The findings describe adolescents’ understanding of Islamic education, daily religious practices, and moral conduct in social life. The study emphasizes that effective Islamic Religious Education delivered through schools, families, and community institutions can strengthen adolescents’ moral values, self-control, and social responsibility. Strengthening collaboration between educators, parents, and religious leaders is crucial in fostering adolescents who are morally grounded and capable of adapting to modern social and technological challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the personality competence of the Madrasah Principal and its influence on the character development of students at MI Al Marzukiah, Central Lombok. The research employed a descriptive and inferential quantitative approach with a total of 46 respondents, including teachers and students. Descriptive analysis revealed that the principal’s personality competence predominantly falls into the moderate category (65%), while student character development is also mostly moderate (76%). The personality competence of the principal encompasses the ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate the madrasah community, including teachers, staff, and students, in achieving educational goals, as regulated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs No. 58 of 2017 and the Ministry of National Education No. 13 of 2017. Inferential statistical analysis using the t-test showed no significant effect of the principal’s personality competence on student character development (tcount = 0.601 < ttable = 1.680, ? = 0.05). This suggests that student character development is influenced more by teachers’ daily interactions, school environment, parental involvement, and students’ own initiative rather than solely by the principal’s personality. The findings emphasize the importance of a collaborative approach in character education, integrating school leadership, teacher facilitation, family support, and environmental factors to cultivate dynamic and value-based character aligned with Islamic principles.

Abstract

Stunting remains a significant public health challenge in Indonesia, particularly in Papua Province, where prevalence rates are high. Effective prevention at the primary health care level requires adequate availability and management of health human resources (HRH) to ensure optimal service delivery. This study aimed to examine the relationship between HRH availability and management and the optimization of stunting prevention services at Kosiwo Health Center, Yapen Islands Regency, Papua Province. An observational cross-sectional study was conducted, involving all 41 health workers engaged in stunting prevention using total sampling. Data were collected through a validated structured questionnaire and analyzed with SPSS, employing univariate and bivariate analyses, including the chi-square test at a significance level of ? = 0.05. The results indicated a significant relationship between HRH availability and management and the optimization of stunting prevention services. Health workers reporting adequate HRH management achieved higher rates of optimal service delivery (95.8%) compared to those with inadequate management (11.8%). These findings highlight that the proper availability and management of HRH are critical for enhancing stunting prevention programs. Strengthening HRH capacity, equitable distribution, and effective management are essential strategies to ensure the success of interventions aimed at reducing stunting in high-prevalence areas.
