Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of the study is to analyze the physical characteristic of PCC cement variation used as final clay cover at sanitary landfill through column model testing of final clay cover infiltration. The result showed clay plasticity (CL) stabilization is low with cement variation of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% at column infiltration model. The highest infiltration (460 cm³/minute) is detected at clay without any cement stabilization while the lowest is for the 10% concentration with result of 23 cm³/minute. Its permeability decreases with the increase of cement concentration to as high as 10%. Permeability coefficient value (k) for 0% cement is 7,71 x 10-5 cm/second and 7,46 x 10-6 cm/second and 1,51 x 10-7 cm/second for cement concentration of 5% and 10%, respectively. However for concentration above 10%, the permeability coefficient value increases as high as 1,67 x 10-6 cm/second and 2,04 x 10-5 cm/second for cement concentration of 15% and 20%, respectively. Thus, from this study it can be concluded final clay cover for sanitary landfill can be used with various cement concentration up to 10%. Keywords: bleeding, density factor and slump value

Abstract

Environmental conditions in the study site that frequently occurs Takalar City Overflow / floods so that flood patterns control development is necessary to maintain public activities due to infrastructure damage caused by the overflow of Pappa river. This paper aims to establish a model of control by way of the construction of dams, development reservoir regulation, or a combination of regulation and dams. This research uses descriptive quantitative analysis methods and data collection is done through field observations and assisted by a one-dimensional model of program Hec-Ras to analyze the transverse profile streams at once devise alternative flood control overflow of river Pappa. The results showed that the city is in need of a building Takalar flood control due to overflow of river water Pappa. But the most important is community involvement in the maintenance of the existing DAS to keep the water catchment area.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of loading vehicles on thick layers of the road surface. The method used in the analysis is the method of asphalt components. The amount of load transferred through the wheels on the vehicle depending on the total weight of the vehicle axis configuration. Other vehicles with different axle load, comparable to the standard axle load by using the "axis load Equivalent (E)". Variation of equivalent exponent (E) x of the same data obtained minimum layer of foundation on exponent of 4.

Abstract

The aim of this research is  to know the effect of gradation natural aggregate to the characteristic of fresh concrete. Gradation of aggregate are found from composition of size granular fine and coarse aggregate. The method of research is an experimental method. Sample were made from four kinds of fine aggregate (zone 1,2,3, dan 4) and three kinds of coarse aggregate with the same composition. The result of research are good slump value made from zone 1 (very rough), zone 2 (rough), and zone 3 (fine). The fine aggregate with fines granular (zone 4) give eligible slump if mixed with coarse aggregate size of 40 mm. Required the appropriate bleeding acquired in the use of fine aggregate zone 1, zone 2, zone 3 and zone 4. Maximum grain size of coarse aggregate has no effect on the bleeding produced. The appropriate density factor required is obtained on the use of fine aggregate zone 1 and zone 2. Maximum grain size of coarse aggregate has no effect on the density of the resulting.

Abstract

In Function Follow Form Theory, form is a major focus in the design, making visual acceleration is very important, while the function of the space must be able to follow and set based on pre-existing forms. This theory also spawned the development of concepts forming and shaping a more advanced, such as the superimposition and hybrid. Furthermore, advancing of how to combine and blend adaptively the geometric forms as a free and non free direction. With these forms, the layout planning, configuration and interaction of existing space in the shell form of brutality becoming a special concern in the design, because of the design process will be reversed in the review of its design criteria for a functional space requirements such as air conditioning, lighting, acoustics and flow circulation.
