Social media, especially Instagram, is a contest for buzzers in the 2024 presidential and vice presidential elections. In debates on social media, they are free to express their support in any way. Likewise content, but not necessarily hoax content is sent to attract sympathizers, due to the existence of an ITE law that prevents the spread of hoaxes, especially since this is an official buzzer account, in this election which was attended by three pairs of candidates and vice presidents where there must be contestation from the three candidates who need an increase in electability in order to win this presidential election. This research method uses qualitative techniques, such as observation techniques, as data collection. Aim to see if the public is affected by the content created by the buzzer account. With this, the results of the study show that positive content is given from the three official buzzers, which apply the concepts of habitus, field, and capital, which cause the impact of buzzer dominance on Instagram social media does not have a strong influence on the results of the 2024 election, it is the public's view of which leader will be chosen that is higher.

Abstract

This article explores and analyzes ethical standards in public institutions, with a primary focus on the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI). Using a normative legal research approach, the article compares KPAI's ethical standards with other public institutions in Indonesia, as well as with applicable international standards. The results indicate that the absence of an explicit code of ethics in KPAI not only creates legal uncertainty but also weakens the enforcement of disciplinary mechanisms within the institution. Based on an analysis framed by ethical theory and moral philosophy, this article emphasizes the need for comprehensive reforms in KPAI's ethical standards. The recommendations aim to increase accountability, transparency, and public trust in KPAI while strengthening the institution's role in protecting children's rights in Indonesia.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has revolutionized various business sectors, including the global clothing trade. Alongside new apparel, the importation of secondhand clothing into Indonesia, commonly referred to as "thrifting," has gained popularity due to its affordability. However, this practice has raised concerns regarding its legality and impact on the national economy. This paper examines the legality of buying and selling imported secondhand clothing (thrifting) online from the perspective of Indonesian positive law. Using a normative juridical method, the research reveals that both online and offline thrifting practices violate several regulations, including the Job Creation Law, the Consumer Protection Law, and the Minister of Trade's Regulation on Export and Import Prohibited Goods. Key factors driving the persistence of thrifting in Indonesia include the country's openness to imports and the demand for affordable, high-quality clothing. Despite its growing popularity, thrifting poses significant risks, such as health hazards and detrimental effects on the domestic garment industry.

Abstract

The Indonesian government has announced plans to move the country's capital from Jakarta to the Benua Etam region. The main objective of the move is to reduce the burden on overpopulated Jakarta, as well as to flatten economic and infrastructure development to the eastern region of Indonesia. The existence of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) in East Kalimantan offers great potential to strengthen the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) ecosystem in the region. As a new center of government designed to offset the burden of central Jakarta, IKN Nusantara can be a catalyst for the growth and sustainability of MSMEs, and strengthen their contribution to the national economy. This study aims to evaluate the economic impact of public policy reforms in Indonesia on MSMEs in the new IKN. The results of this study are expected to provide a clear picture of the economic impact of public policy reforms in Indonesia on MSMEs in the new IKN, as well as assist the government and MSME businesses in designing more effective policies and optimizing the potential of MSMEs in the region.
