Abstract

The word morality comes from the Arabic word khalaqu-yahluqu which etymologically means character, disposition, arrangement, behavior or nature. Morality is divided into two parts, namely commendable morality and reprehensible morality. Commendable morality itself has the meaning of eliminating reprehensible behavior that violates religious norms and adorning oneself with good deeds. While reprehensible morality has the meaning of actions that are not justified by religion (Allah and His Messenger). Morals play a very important role in everyday life, morality is a trait that is embedded in humans and can be of good or bad value, Morality is not always identical to knowledge, speech or actions of people who can know a lot about the good and bad of morality, but this is not necessarily supported by the nobility of morality, people can speak softly and sweetly, but words can come from a hypocritical heart. In other words, morality harms the innate human traits since birth that are embedded in their souls and are always there. The Qur'an always emphasizes that morality, whether good or bad, will reflect on oneself according to its formation and development. This journal traces the trail of noble morality in Islam by focusing on the concept of commendable and reprehensible behavior as stated in the hadith. Through an in-depth analysis of authentic hadiths, this study reveals various examples of commendable behavior such as honesty, trustworthiness, compassion, and patience, as well as reprehensible behavior such as lying, betrayal, envy, and arrogance. This journal concludes that understanding and practicing the concept of commendable and reprehensible behavior in the hadith is the main key in building individuals and societies with noble morals, and is an important guideline in dealing with various moral problems in the era of globalization.

Abstract

This writing discusses major sins, associating partners with Allah, and seven types of major sins from the perspective of quran and hadith. The results of this research indicate that major sins are all prohibitions that come from Allah and His Messenger. There are many major sins, including: shirk (associating partners with Allah), disobedience to parents, unlawfully killing a soul, bearing false witness, practicing magic, accusing believing women of adultery, killing a child out of fear of poverty, consuming the property of orphans, engaging in usury, fleeing from battle, and committing adultery with a neighbor's wife, among others. Additionally, disobedience to parents is also considered a major sin and one that leads to destruction. It is essential for us to be obedient to both parents in accordance with Islamic law. However, among all the sins categorized as major, shirk occupies the highest position (the greatest) compared to other major sins. Other major sins not mentioned in hadith, but criteria for major sins in other hadiths, include disobedience to parents, killing a child due to fear of increasing poverty, false testimony, betrayal in matters of spoils, adultery, theft, consuming alcohol, separating oneself from the community, spreading slander, violating oaths of allegiance, and failing to cleanse oneself after urination.

Abstract

In the Qur'an there is a classification of humans based on their aqidah in three groups: believers, disbelievers, and hypocrites. The hypocrites are those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, but their faith is only in their mouths, while their hearts disbelieve. This research is a literature research with an analytical descriptive approach. The primary data source is Tafsir Al- Qur'an Al-Azhim by Ibn Katsir. While secondary data is the book of tafsir and other books that have relevance to the discussion of this research. This research uses documentation method and maudhu'l or thematic as data analysis technique. Ibn Katsir interpretation of Surah Al- Munafiqun is that hypocrites have an attractive appearance, but their hearts are full of hatred for Allah, rejecting advice, and Allah confirms that they will get curse, and delaying good deeds is a characteristic of hypocrites. Allah, the Almighty, explains that the characteristics of hypocrites in Surah Al-Munafiqun include disbelief and hatred of the truth, instability in faith, inclination towards lies and falsehood, laziness and indifference towards obedience, fear in practicing religion, and indifference towards the guidance of Allah, the Almighty.

Abstract

The Hadith about social care illustrates the teaching of Islam that emphasize the importance of solidarity, emphaty, and a sense of responsibility toward others. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized that a believer is part of a community that cares for one another, as he said :”The example of the believers in their affecation, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body; when any limb aches the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever”(Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim). This hadith teaches that muslims must be sensitive to the needs and difficulties of others, including helping those who are underprivileged, marginalized, or afflicted by calamities. The social care emphasized in this hadith forms the foundation for creating a harmonious and prosperous society where the values of brotherhood   and humanity are prioritized.

Abstract

The science of Jarh wa Ta’dil is one of the main branches in the study of Hadith Science which plays a role in assessing the moral credibility and intellectual abilities of the narrators. In classical times, this science became an important foundation in ensuring the validity of the sanad of hadith. However, amidst the rapid development of technology and the rapid flow of religious information through digital media, serious challenges have emerged in the process of verifying hadith, especially on platforms with minimal scientific studies. This study aims to examine the sustainability and application of the principles of Jarh wa Ta’dil in responding to the rampant disinformation of hadith in the digital era. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and literature study, this article concludes that the critical principles in the Science of Jarh wa Ta’dil remain relevant and can be developed to support digital religious literacy. One solution is through a digitalization system of hadith based on sanad and the authority of the narrators. The synergy between the heritage of classical science and advances in information technology is an important step in maintaining the authenticity of Islamic teachings from deviant narratives.

Abstract

This study examines the pedagogical approach of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in the hadith, focusing on three main methods: practical, dialogical, and analogical. These approaches are relevant in the current educational context because they prioritize direct interaction, in-depth understanding, and the application of learning concepts in everyday life. The study used a qualitative method with analysis of relevant hadith texts and a literature review on Islamic education. The results of the study indicate that the practical method applied by the Prophet SAW, through life examples, is very effective in transferring teachings in a concrete way. The dialogical approach, through questions and answers, increases the active involvement of students and deepens their understanding. The use of analogies or parables facilitates the understanding of abstract concepts, making them easier to understand by the people at that time. In conclusion, the pedagogical approach of the Prophet Muhammad SAW provides an important foundation for the development of more effective and relevant learning methods in modern education.
